I went here with some friends for a little adventure and had a great time. We completed the bank heist! This location used to be owned by other people, but I'm glad someone picked up the location. Our guide was great and we will definitely be coming back to try other rooms. If you want something fun to do for an hour, we completed the room with 4 people. Bring your friends and have some fun with some puzzles.

Joshua was a fantastic game master: friendly, engaging, funny, and tailored the experience to our group's vibe.

Great mid level escape room with awesome game master!…read more We went as a group of 5 on a Saturday night. We were promptly greeted and checked in by the amazing friendly Laurel! We did the Zombie themed escape room. We finished with a few minutes left, with a little help from Laurel. It's hard to review these because I don't want to give things away. The good: Laurel the manager. Clues that didn't just give you the answer, just steered you towards the thing ya overlooked. Not too hard of a room. I would sad mid level difficultly. Great production value. Variety of different puzzles to hunt. When time was running out Laurel didn't make us suffer, she let us know we already had what we were looking for and somehow put back down. Never over detailed with the clues. The not perfect: No red herrings, nothing extra in the room, what you need and is puzzle related almost stands out. But maybe not to all? WE WILL BE BACK!

She also mentioned that there was another group in the other room, so she didn't want to explain the one last remaining puzzle when time was up. We got a gift card a year ago for Christmas and I realized the email said it expires in 12 months,…read morewhich would be this coming week, so we got out there. The staff member I spoke with said they actually don't expire, but I'm glad we went anyway. We chose the Gift Holiday escape room and booked online two days before. Our game master Andy did a great job catering to our family of four's needs--our kids are 8 and almost 12, so he asked if we were looking to beat the high score or if we wanted hints if he saw we were stuck. I let him know we wanted to try to solve it ourselves, but we wanted to beat the room. He provided a great amount of help but always at the right times. We solved the room with five minutes to spare which felt great. We don't have beat it without his help, and it would've negatively impacted our experience. I appreciated the option where more competitive people would need or want fewer hints. He had great enthusiasm and a pleasant attitude. There are many escape room options, but he made this location our favorite and first choice going forward.

I played the Lost Ruins room with some friends, and we made it out with under two minutes to spare…read more We chose the unlimited hints options I think (or whatever was the most) and used around 5-7 in total. You get a bonus hint if you can solve the riddle at the front, which was fun. This room had a lot fewer high tech audio visual effects than some escape rooms I've done more recently. It was a lot of more classic puzzles, nothing insanely cognitively complexed. There were some frustrations, like getting pieces in exactly the right order but one fairly symmetrical piece was just upside down/ not locking properly with magnets. That's the kind of thing it would be helpful if the game master could comment on when they see us get the order right and lose 10 extra minutes... they did give us some time back because the piece was a little glitchy. We had multiple binders to use as reference for many clues, and one of them was really out of order, which also confused the flow a little as we were trying to flip to the same pages as each other. We found some of the puzzles a little far fetched to figure out without a hint to get started. All in all, though, this was a very fun way to spend an hour with friends and earns a solid 4/5 on escape rooms for me! I appreciated it wasn't too scary (I hate the ones with super loud jump scares and things / people popping out at you!). Recommend! We were a group of four which I think is about the right number for this sort of thing.

Each room is rated on a difficulty scale out of 10, and we chose the Budapest Express, which has an 8.5 rating. Once inside, we watched a couple of short introductory videos that set the scene, and then the timer began. We had one hour to solve a murder mystery involving five train passengers, all of whom were suspects. The setup immediately pulled us in and created a fun, immersive challenge right from the start. During the adventure, you work your way through a series of clever puzzles by collecting clues, cracking codes, and unlocking various mechanisms along the way. Every step feels interactive and keeps everyone engaged. If you ever find yourself stuck, there's a giant red button you can press to receive a clue, which is a nice touch that keeps the game moving without taking away from the challenge. There's also a bar on-site where you can grab refreshments before or after your game. It's family-friendly, offering a mix of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, along with a selection of alcoholic beverages for those who want to unwind. Overall, the experience was immersive, well-organized, and a lot of fun, and perfect for groups looking for something different, engaging, and memorable. We'll definitely be back to try another room!

From puzzle rooms, to experiences, to interactive theater style escape rooms. I have visited the Los Angeles/ Korea Town location in the past but only tried Cannibal's Den there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Here in the San Diego location, I was able to play the Cannibal's Den 2.0, and their Malediction room. Cannibal's Den was less cerebral puzzles and more physical puzzles that felt more like you actually escaping from a cannibal. Was it scary? Sure, but I'm used to Halloween haunted houses/mazes and enjoy those as well. This wasn't as intense as those though so this should be more accessible for those that don't enjoy jump scares. And Malediction, it's a unique game similar to a fantasy video game where you have to find something. There are magical moments that I will not spoil, and yes there are some live actors but they do not scare or attack you. Just very interactive. I have yet to play their other games at this location and can't wait! Also, Arah and Maddie were fantastic hosts. They were quite interactive especially in Malediction, their fantasy adventure themed room. And don't forget to use the restroom before you start a game! You may be in your game for a full hour depending on your skill level! And as always, have fun!

The game masters were also awesome and very attentive. Our only complaints would be that a few things in the room we did, were not working properly and it was pretty frustrating.
