Sherman's No#4 Located on Main St in Stockton, CA. Here's our story: We just finished watching a movie "Dark Phoenix" . I asked thw kids what they wanted to eat. My youngest wanted Chinese food and my Son agreed. So I mentioned Sherman's. I knew it was Father's day and a lot of places were going to be packed. So I figured this was a wise option. There's a total of Four Sherman's in Stockton. This location is the biggest (Spacious and more seating) of the four. As we walked in we were greeted and told "Long time no see" I've been here a few times before with both my daughters and this was the first time bringing my Son. The place was jammed packed. Only two tables available. But we had luck, one of the available tables was one we always sit at. The kids and yours truly grabbed our plates and got our grub on. A few things I like is the Garlic Chicken. It's boneless and taste really good. The garlic shrimp is pretty good too. I could eat a whole plate of that stuff. The Egg drop soup is good, my youngest daughter and I enjoy it . The Beef and Broccoli is also one of my favorites. That's what I usually eat when we dine here. The customer service has always been good with us. I do enjoy the interaction with the people who work there. Tonight's feast was awesome. My children made my day like they do everyday. We loved the food this evening and enjoyed the nice company. We'll be definitely coming back. "It only takes a moment to make a moment" Sincerely VD

Reasonable price to an all you can eat Chinese Food. Hot and freshly cooked food. Great meal after canvassing the neighborhood for San Joaquin County District 1 #TEAMWEST #WEST4SUPERVISOR #VOTEWEST Friendly staff with great customer service. I'm a fan of supporting local businesses. Come out and check out the place for yourself. Eat local! Check out the other Sherman's Restaurant in town. There's one in Waterloo Rd. and another in Country Club.

Well well look what we have here another Sherman Buffet. Way to go Bing!! So happened to be driving by wondering what to have for dinner tonight and as if some stroke of luck Sherman's #4 was having their Grand Opening. You all have seen my love before for this business and it continues with this one. Bing did it again he remodeled the old Chinese Express restaurant and he did it right. I've always told him he needed a bigger space and I'm happy to see him open this spot. His food is the same wonderful always fresh ingredients great taste. This time with more space on the buffet line he has room for more options unfortunately I wasn't able to be a pic of his new creation, imitation crab stuff jalapenos lightly battered with a sweet glaze sauce. The empty tray in one of the photos was where they were thus proving their yumminest lol. If you live in the area or just driving on the crosstown freeway take the Filbert exit towards Main St, to yummy in your tummy you won't be disappointed. And shake Bings hand he deserves it!!

Was in the area looking for Chinese food. Good bang for your buck. Lots of options like fried chicken, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, fried rice and chow mein and more.

Good food served in very large portions. We ordered 3 dishes and each individually would easily enough for the 3 of us. Lots of leftovers.

Turn the clock forward a decade and guess what, the food is still outstanding and the service is still attentive and kind. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we were good and hungry when we got into town. The owner greeted us warmly and a friendly server (her son), came by to help us. We decided to order: Hot & sour soup - heaven in a big bowl. Savory broth filled with delicious ingredients. It was well flavored, not too spicy or tangy Mu shu chicken - 4 pancakes with hoisin sauce. Our server wrapped our first ones for us. The dish contained the typical scrambled egg, sliced cabbage, protein, etc and it was fresh and tasty Beef with asparagus -noted in the entry that asparagus was in season so we had to order it. Meat was tender and the asparagus was cooked beautifully House chow mein - Fried perfectly and not doused in a bunch of sauce or oil. The protein on this dish was plentiful and it was simple and delicious. I loved how they didn't add chives/green onion to these dishes. The hot & sour soup had a few little green onions for color but this is the first time I've been to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't overfill the dishes with onions (as I don't like onions). Maybe that's the reason I enjoyed everything so much. Portions are very generous! We had lots of yummy leftovers. Our server told us that two of his brothers were the chefs. My kudos to them; they certainly know how to cook!

Thankfully, I was able to place a takeout order over the phone successfully at 7:30 PM. The execution of both dishes was extraordinarily superb. On top of that, the price points were extremely reasonable. I found this place online, called, placed my order. Upon driving up... I was not happy, it was the corner spot of the lot, there's no seating inside, you walk in and you can't see the food be made, they have this table blocking the way to get inside the rest of the building which is just empty... The place honestly looks shut down. I hate that I couldn't see anywhere in the back where the food was being cooked, the lady kept yelling at the man in the back. She wasn't too welcoming when I walked in either. Then, I pay, tip $8. She tells me it'll be a 10 min wait, I walk around the lot.. get back, and I ask for 1 hot oil and she's going to say "we charge for that, that'll be $1.50!" I say okay, hand her my card and then she says "$6 minimum or a 75 cent charge." Like lady? I tipped $8 on a 14 meal..... can I just have the hot oil at this point. So I said that's fine, she charged me and I went on my way. Sadly, I won't be returning. Not only because ambience and staff, but food wasn't too hot either, super under seasoned and that's saying a lot because I'm on a kidney friendly diet for the MOST part lol.

Friday, January 9th. Approx. 6:50 PM…read more OVERVIEW: Was at Lincoln Village to do some shopping, and wanted to try this restaurant for the first time and get some to-go food. Will probably go back again to give their Dim Sum a try. PROS: - GREAT LOCATION in the middle of Lincoln Village Shopping Center & lots of available parking spaces. - Ordered the Fried Garlic Chicken, Broccoli Beef & House Special Chow Mein. Good flavor & volume for the price. - This may be commonsensical, but while it was quite cold outside on this January evening, management kept the temperature of the dining area at a warm level. I bring this point up since a lot of restaurants in Stockton & Lodi have turned the thermostats of their dining areas down to cut overhead costs, but this place kept their dining area warm & comfy. CONS: - It seems obvious that they only have one chef working in their kitchen, since it took almost 30 minutes to complete my order. Sure, they had to serve other customers dining in, as well as handle a constant flow of pick-up orders, but since it was peak order time on a Friday night, they should have more staff in the kitchen to quickly support the order volume. - While I mentioned in the "PROS" section above, the food has good flavor and volume for the price. The downside is that the overall flavors are not outstanding nor memorable, which doesn't allow for much separation with other mainstream Chinese restaurants, serving the same dishes in Stockton. SUMMARY: If you're in the Lincoln Village area, want to eat Chinese food and are not in a particular hurry, this is a good place to park the car and sit down for a while. If you are in a hurry, better to phone in your order beforehand to cut the waiting time. Don't expect exotic food presentations and flavors, but don't expect massive damage to your wallet either.
