FYI... the first time I went to Sherwin Williams in Parker many years ago, I went to the wrong one (there are two!) and recall they redirected me to the Parker Road store, just south of Lincoln, near Walgreen's. I believe the Twenty Mile store is for contractors only. Yesterday's visit for a gallon of paint (for my front door and trim) was the best paint store experience I've ever had. Though he was walking back to finish up with his customer, the manager took a moment to greet me and find out what I was looking for. He told me he would finish up with the customer already there and then get my order ready. As I waited and walked around the store (I waited about 10 minutes), a few people came in after me. The manager took a moment with the folks who walked in to greet them and, when possible, to find out their needs so he could quickly get their order started in the back (there were other employees helping in the back, etc, not just him). He was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and personal to everyone in the store -- both contractor and regular people alike. He kept things moving along. He took the initiative to find an active coupon and saved me 35%! (I found the link to current SW coupons and will post it at the end). I was so surprised and grateful! Six years ago, my husband and I replaced our fence -- he replaced and I painted. Our HOA requires SW paint for exterior jobs. I recall feeling like one in a herd back then, as I waited a long time, etc. The new manager brings great customer service to the store. And our fence's SW paint still looks awesome and brand new, 6 years later! Even though it's southern-facing and gets all the sun (I used rollers and a paint brush instead of a sprayer). This is a little store but the workers there are all very nice and helpful. They could use a little more room in the paint chip section, and need to be stocked with more of the "luxury" finish paints, but they did offer to try to find them at other locations. read more

I have to admit I never saw the point of going to JUST a paint store. I mean why can't I just run to Lowe's and pick up a can right? Well, after we had a contractor do some work for us and we did some minor touch ups the contractor schooled us that (like everything) if you buy quality, you get quality. Basically, if you buy a quality paint then you get a better finish, it goes on easier, it last longer, and on and on. And from what I can tell, this is totally true. If you are going to paint, go to a real paint store; they know their stuff. I have no idea why the big box stores have crappy paints, but apparently they just do. This Sherwin is off Parker Road just past Lincoln (on the right). I tell you this because Yelp hates Parker for some reason and can never get the address or direction right to anything within its city limits. Sorry, rant ended, back to the review. It is a normal Sherwin with lots of samples off the left and aisles of brushes, stains, and various painting supplies down the middle. We got helped right away and the guy knew his stuff. He definitely saved us some time because we were going to paint cabinets and were approaching it a little wrong. He told us the right sander to use, that we didn't need primer if we bought certain paints and what color would look good with our floors. Horrible customer service. Jeremy the manager needs to start looking for another job. His two sales people working with him today ( both males), should carpool with him to apply for work. I spent five minutes in their store a little bit ago. They had one other customer in the store who just finished up and was leaving. Not one person acknowledge my being there. No one asked if they could help me with anything. They had a 3" Purdy brush marked down to $15.29. The young sales associate told me it was on sale for $16.71 and he said nothing further. Who the hell trained this bunch of idiots. I would fire the bunch of them. Both home depot and lowes sales people at their paint departments acknowledged me immediately. Wow, this Sherwin is 100% different than the one over by Lone Tree. We walked in the door and started looking at paints and someone came over to help us immediately. He had loads of suggestions on the kinds of paints we could try and what would be the best type for our situation. We've been here many times over the past 6 months. Our contractors used Sherwin-Williams Williams at our request (due to colors). From getting samples to returning for more paint most of these employees seem downright miserable. My first experience. I ordered like 7 sample colors. The guy rang me up, it was busy. He didn't say anything after I paid and I asked "where do I get the paint?" He snarkily replied "we have to mix it first." Okayyyyy, but you rang me up and didn't say anything so that still doesn't answer my question. I hadn't asked in a rushed tone so not sure why he responded like that. I have a feeling that when most of the employees have a sour attitude that it's from the store manager. I've seen a guy walk around who one would think is the manager and he never seems happy or helpful with his colleagues. Today I asked where I could find some 4" roller brushes and the nice guys who rang me up pointed to a direction. Then the guys stocking who I typically see didn't follow up or make eye contact. When I asked again it was a drab and less than enthusiastic response. It's hard to put my finger on it, minus the things I mentioned above, but there's a tone of misery when I come here. I thought I might get better service here than at a general bog box store, but this store offered nothing to be desired. I was not greeted when I entered and after waiting for several minutes to be helped, the sales associate seemed disgruntled and unhappy to assist me. I took a chair in to the store so I could get matching stain. The clerk found a stain and he said it was a match. I stained the repaired chair and it was not close to a match. The match was so bad that I had to use the chair in another room. read more

I've gone here a few times now because I like the Cashmere paint product. The folks here are friendly and mostly helpful. We had one glitch that I suppose we should take partial responsibility for. We gave an order of multiple gallons in multiple colors. One color we needed 9 gallons. We came back to find they filled a 5 gallon bucket and four single gallons. I can't manipulate a 5 gallon bucket well and didn't want it. It was a younger sales person's assumption. I had always purchased individual gallon cans in previous orders (in their computer history) but I didn't specifically ask for cans at the time of this order. The manager asked us to give them some time to fix the order because they were out of empty gallon buckets and needed to get them from another location. We went to lunch, came back, and the individual gallon cans were filled. I guess you can't assume anything. My first beef is that empty gallon cans seem to be a standard item and they didn't have 5. Also every time I've been in there, they aren't accepting old paint to recycle. Indefinitely. After all the paint I've purchased you'd think they'd recycle a few gallons left in this house we don't need. That's a bummer and I thought it was a service Sherwin Williams offered, but their hand written sign says otherwise at this location. read more

I spent a LOT of time online working out the colors for my exterior base, trim, and accent color then drove to the store in Parker. The Parker store didn't even have swatches of the Sherwin Williams online paint colors, so I think I'm going to go with Behr or Valspar because I can get swatches of the colors I need. read more

Horrid customer service! My husband and I went to this store to pick paint colors for our very large remodel job. We were in the store a full hour and never greeted once. No other customers were in the store during that hour. We over heard employees exchanging personal stories so at least we knew employees were on site. Our first communication was an employee flicking the lights off and on to signal us to get out. Never speaking to us the entire time we were in the store. Upon leaving I ask to speak to the manager. A young man behind the counter smirked and said he was the assistant manager. I asked it if was his policy to not to greet or check in with customers that come in to look for paint. With smirk still on his face he patronized me with "sorry". He could have cared less and even demonstrated distain. My husband and I are both business management professionals. We understand the value of quality customer service. This Sherwin Williams store, in business to simply sell paint, obviously does not understand or care about even basic customer service.
