First time in, immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. When we mentioned that it was our first time, they were eager to show off their best entrees, which included their amazing orange chicken, pork, and mushroom zucchini chicken, and the girl helping us was very sweet. It was far superior to any of our other local Chinese places! The manager came to speak to us and he was very helpful and polite, very passionate about keeping up his quality and hearing what we had to say. Can I say this place ROCKS! I don't know how someone can place a one star on this place. All the workers are friendly and awesome. You can try anything before you order it and not made with fatty oils and such. You can def tell the difference in the food and sauces. Don't be fooled by the heat lamps, they have a cook to order menu to die for! Black bean chicken is awesome! So is the walnut shrimp! Only gripes about this place is that it closes early, like the rest of chino hills. And they are not open Sundays which is a bummer. Overall a good choice for some good Chinese food. read more

This delicious new Chinese restaurant is definitely worth the visit. Since I live right down the street, I was extremely excited to see a new Chinese restaurant open so close by. After reading the reviews and hearing recommendations from neighbors, I had very high expectations for this place... And it did not disappoint! From the moment I walked into this establishment with my boyfriend the staff was welcoming and interactive. They immediately suggested we try different items to see what we liked and we opted for the combo of orange chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice, and chow mein. They gave us multiple samples and suggested we try their Thai tea, so we got that as well. The food was delicious and fresh! Did not taste heavy or greasy at all. If you get the orange chicken right when they bring it out it is especially good. One of the best parts of this place is the prices! We got the combo for $5.75 and the Thai tea for only $2.50! It was completely worth it. The staff blew me away with their friendly attitudes and humor. I'm looking forward to returning in the near future and trying their cook-to-order meals, especially the garlic shrimp and Mongolian beef. So glad this cheap and delicious restaurant opened and can't wait to be a regular! read more

I went out and tried Shi Foo a few days ago for their soft opening. It's Chinese fast food, but better than the usual Panda Express type food. It's a family owned place (owned by very nice people) and it sounds like they have some good plans for the restaurant. They are planning on having the standard already made dishes for quick service, but also offering additional a la carte choices, including some fusion dishes that they'll make fresh for you. They're planning on having many healthy choices too. No MSG! I tried the jalapeno chicken and the kung pao chicken, along with some fried rice and noodles. I liked the kung pao chicken. Good flavor, good spice, quality chicken. I have to say though, the jalapeno chicken was the star of the meal. So good! I really liked it A LOT. Nice big pieces of chicken and a great flavor. Just spicy enough without being overpowering. The rice and noodles were both very good too. Overall, a great meal. Shi Foo is going to be a great new addition to this area since there aren't any other Chinese restaurants nearby. Go check it out! read more

Disappointed with the Customer Service! So I ended up ordering my food from the Chino location on accident, but went to pick up my order from the Chino Hills location. I was told by the girl at the counter that my order was ready at their other location and I had to drive 10 mins to pick it up. REALLY? Don't you think that's a little bit unreasonable? I was pretty shocked that they asked me to leave and drive out of my way to pick up food. The young girl told me ,"No, you can't place your order here because your food is ready over there". I told her I couldn't drive 10 mins to pick it up, and asked if I could order my food here." She then disappeared and said she was going to call the manager......I understood immediately that this happen frequently as another girl responded, "yeah, people just don't listen when we answer the phone and all they hear is Chino...". The girl stopped short because she just realized that she was being insulting and rude by implying that I just didn't listen! I told them that they should clarify the phone orders that they have 2 locations and name them both.....they made me fee like I was an idiot and bad that food was ready at another location, like I just Waisted food. HELLO PEOPLE! You just don't do that! You don't make your customers feel bad for making an honest mistake! You need to train your staff better and be more clear on the phone distinguishing your 2 locations. By the way the food is OK, nothing special and not worth holding back a review, I will not return, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area. When they finally let me order there, they made sure to remind me this will be the ONLY time. Ok! I thought, thanks for the advice. I am not an idiot, I think I would remember and make sure the Next time to call the right location, but I will not be coming back. read more

WOW!! First time trying this place on a stop from LA to San Diego and it was delicious. We were thrilled to see the A for their health inspection. I came to this place when they first opened and it was OK. I think they were still working out the kinks. I went back recently (it's been a long time) after reading the reviews, and I have to say that it's really good. The issue with most Chinese food places is that re food is very greasy, oily, and really makes you feel like crap after. While I'm not going to say Shi-Foo is not greasy, I can say that it's definitely one of the better Chinese food restaurants around the area. Their food is non-GMO, I believe it's organic, and no MSG. I got the classic... Orange Chicken. I was surprised that I bit into actual white meat chicken. And it actually tasted really good. But I definitely recommend spending a little more and get it freshly made to order. I liked the chow mein because it was not greasy at all. The prices are extremely reasonable and normal ($4.50 plus tax for a bowl) and I didn't feel terrible after eating it. Definitely would come back. I dinged them a star because when I got food one time from under the heat lamp, they mixed fresh orange chicken with the old and it was obvious that the old one was kept out for awhile. Again, made to order is the way to go here. I just remembered, my mom said the eggdrop soup here is very good. I haven't tried it though. read more

I walked in during the lunch hour and ordered their chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, beef broccoli, mushroom chicken, mixed vegetables, and honey walnut shrimp. The vegetables were lightly seasoned and the servers were very happy to accommodate for me and my vegetarian diet restrictions. My boyfriend thought their honey walnut shrimp was decent and he loved their orange chicken. Honestly, the food was just okay because the Yelp reviews overhyped it for me. But I will probably be back because it's just as good as any other fast food Chinese take out out there; I'll probably explore their made-to-order menu next time I stop by. read more

This is one of the first spots my husband checked out after we moved to Chino Hills and he's been going to this place almost once every two weeks for the past year we've been living in Chino Hills. Their freshly cooked beef pad thai extra spicy and their orange chicken is what keeps him going back. Everything else is just good...nothing to really rave about, but compared to other fast food Chinese establishments, this place uses fresher ingredients and just tastes a little healthier than most. read more

My boyfriend has a gluten allergy and has stayed away from Chinese food since going off gluten. The problem is that we both enjoy Chinese food. So we tried ShiFoo and are very pleased. They have a clearly labeled gluten free section on their menu. They made ordering very easy. They clearly wrote allergy in the order and took it into the back where they prepared in. It was fairly quick as well. He got the honey walnut shrimp which was very good. I got the orange chicken from the to go section. The orange chicken was okay. They used large pieces for chicken.
