My family and I enjoyed a great meal at Tasty Dim Sum on a Sunday afternoon. It was our first time trying it and we were not disappointed. The wait for our party of 4 was about 15 minutes. The food came out pretty quick and was delicious. It's a smaller restaurant so it'd be great for to-go orders or a quick meal. The servers were friendly and efficient. We asked one of them if some of the items we ordered contained milk due to an allergy and he answered no, but also went to double check just in case. We appreciated that. Parking lot was ample, food was delicious, service friendly, and prices pretty low, so we will definitely be back!

We felt like dim sum on a rainy day so we found this little gem on Yelp. They had good reviews so we wanted to try them out. I grew up eating Hong Kong style dim sum so I am very picky with my dim sum. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who sat us at a table. There are about 10 tables inside to sit and eat there. You can also order for pickup. The restroom and restaurant is kept very clean. You order by scanning the QR code. They do have a good selection to choose from. We got the usual items like shumai (pork dumplings), har gar (shrimp dumplings), pork spareribs, chicken sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, bbq pork buns, egg tarts, and I had to try the beef stew rice noodle soup. The server was very attentive to us while she took care of 4 other tables on her own. You do have to pay at store and not on the app when you're ready to checkout. The food came out fast and it tasted fresh. Portion size of the items are great. The bbq pork bun dough was a bit mushy to me. I like when the bun is fluffy and soft. The egg tart was perfect and not overcooked. The shumai and har gar was delicious and huge. The chicken sticky rice was very yummy . The spareribs were a bit fatty but had great flavor. The beef stew rice noodle soup was not my favorite. The beef stew was tender but it lacked flavor and the soup needed more flavor. Overall, we are happy we found a dim sum place that isn't too far from home and we don't have to drive down to OC or LA to eat. We will definitely come back if we have cravings for dim sum.

I'm pretty basic, I just get the beef rice roll when I'm craving it. I always call it in and it's ready when I arrive, no complaints, it hits my craving every time, and it's consistent, so 5/5 stars for me.

The dumpling wrappers were completely overcooked and fell apart.

First time dining here, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The dumpling wrappers were completely overcooked and fell apart. We also waited a very long time for our noodles to arrive. The whole chicken was served without a knife--we were only given a pair of scissors. At the very least, a small knife should have been provided. What surprised me the most was the takeout service. When we asked to pack the leftovers, we were simply handed a plastic bag and expected to pack the chicken ourselves. There wasn't even a takeout container, nor did anyone offer to cut the chicken into smaller pieces before packing it. I've honestly never experienced takeout service like this at any other restaurant. I understand the restaurant was busy and possibly understaffed, but the service was virtually nonexistent. The overall environment also felt disorganized and not very clean, which made me question whether proper hygiene standards were being maintained during such a busy time. The food itself was okay, but nothing memorable. Unfortunately, the poor service and lack of attention to basic customer care overshadowed the meal. I hope the restaurant improves its customer service, cleanliness, and overall organization, as there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.

I walked in and was seated right away as I arrived early to catch a flight. I received the service I am used to at dim sum locations - no one came over to ask for my order. Instead they have a QR code that sends the order to the kitchen which, as I observed others flagging down the staff must not have been a hit. It is very efficient once people get used to it. Food was as expected - not the best dim sum and definitely not the worst. I would go again if in the area.

Great place to fulfill dim sum crave. The menu is quite simple and offer the majority of what people like to order in more complete variations restaurants. The highlight is the tea presentation, which to me quite nice. Everything served was delish. Siu Mai was quite meaty, the BBQ rice roll was surprisingly great taste in rice roll. Price wise - compared to other dim sum place is likely $1 higher.

Dim sum here is made to order instead of coming around on traditional push carts, which gives it a different feel from the usual experience. Overall, the meal was just okay. Several dishes were over on the salty side. The siu mai was the standout and tasted well done, and the chicken feet were also decent. Service was attentive and prompt throughout our lunch. If you're really craving dim sum and there aren't many nearby options, this place can work as a back up option.

We love going to this place for dim sum. We usually go all the way to Orange County for it, but this place is more local and just as good! Everything always comes out so fresh and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The shu mai is super juicy and delicious. The service is always really good and there is plenty of seating inside. Very clean and positive environment. Everything is 10 out of 10.

Tasty Dim Sum House in Chino Hills,California is sooo delicious! Fresh and delicious dim sum and the menu is extensive with tasty delites (see the menu picture), fresh, traditional dim sum and other freshly made dishes! The quality of the food and excellent service makes Tasty Dim Sum House a great find and value!

    Julie N.

Finally checked out a dim sum place in chino hills! We ordered pineapple egg custard bun, bbq pork bun, fried seaweed shrimp, and shu mai. Our favorite was the shu mai since the pork had so much flavor! The bbq pork bun was not bad but wish there was more meat filling inside! The seaweed shrimp order was a bit too oily for me but first bite was good, so if you like fried stuff it is good. The pineapple egg custard has a nice taste as well but I wish there was more custard in the inside. It was interesting that the filling contained pineapple though! Service is quick, and servers are attentive. Not as much seating inside so we had to wait about 20 minutes on a Sunday to eat lunch.

Easy parking in a strip mall setting. The service here is fast and efficient. The servers are welcoming. They have a limited number of options, but everything on the menu tastes above average. The highlight was the Braised Beef Daikon, the meat was a flavorful bomb, that was juicy, perfectly balanced by the Daikon. The budding toddler yelper also really enjoyed the pineapple buns. Overall worth a look and more if you are into dim sum.

The bad: prices were high but this would be ok if it weren't for... The ugly: the service is literally the worst I've ever experienced at a restaurant. When we first sat down, we were one of only three tables so service was swift and reasonable, but pretty quickly the restaurant filled up and we stopped getting our food. In fact, we never got two out of the three items we originally ordered. It also took multiple tries to get more pan fried pork buns, and when they eventually came 45 mins later, they were soggy and not nearly as good as the first batch. We also never got water refills and the three guests who came later just never got water. Finally, I pointed out a hair in one of the dishes, and they never even offered any compensation. The waiters kept forgetting in general. If I'm craving this stuff, I might come during a less busy time. Sadly, the bar for that might be a little high due to this poor experience.
