I grew up eating Hong Kong style dim sum so I am very picky with my dim sum. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who sat us at a table. There are about 10 tables inside to sit and eat there. You can also order for pickup. The restroom and restaurant is kept very clean. You order by scanning the QR code. They do have a good selection to choose from. We got the usual items like shumai (pork dumplings), har gar (shrimp dumplings), pork spareribs, chicken sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, bbq pork buns, egg tarts, and I had to try the beef stew rice noodle soup. The server was very attentive to us while she took care of 4 other tables on her own. You do have to pay at store and not on the app when you're ready to checkout. The food came out fast and it tasted fresh. Portion size of the items are great. The bbq pork bun dough was a bit mushy to me. I like when the bun is fluffy and soft. The egg tart was perfect and not overcooked. The shumai and har gar was delicious and huge. The chicken sticky rice was very yummy . The spareribs were a bit fatty but had great flavor. The beef stew rice noodle soup was not my favorite. The beef stew was tender but it lacked flavor and the soup needed more flavor. Overall, we are happy we found a dim sum place that isn't too far from home and we don't have to drive down to OC or LA to eat. First time dining here, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The dumpling wrappers were completely overcooked and fell apart. We also waited a very long time for our noodles to arrive. The whole chicken was served without a knife--we were only given a pair of scissors. At the very least, a small knife should have been provided. What surprised me the most was the takeout service. When we asked to pack the leftovers, we were simply handed a plastic bag and expected to pack the chicken ourselves. There wasn't even a takeout container, nor did anyone offer to cut the chicken into smaller pieces before packing it. I've honestly never experienced takeout service like this at any other restaurant. I understand the restaurant was busy and possibly understaffed, but the service was virtually nonexistent. The overall environment also felt disorganized and not very clean, which made me question whether proper hygiene standards were being maintained during such a busy time. The food itself was okay, but nothing memorable. Unfortunately, the poor service and lack of attention to basic customer care overshadowed the meal. I would've given zero stars if that were an option. This was an incredibly frustrating experience. I placed a to-go order and was told it would take 20 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes, my food still wasn't ready. Meanwhile, several customers who arrived after me received their food before I did, including one person who ordered the exact same item. This restaurant has limited seatings and are not suitable for big groups. We were able to get a big round table at the end of the restaurant but that was the only big table in the whole restaurant. They told us to scan the QR code for menu and thats how we placed our orders. They don't have a complete dim sum, but the essentials were there, shu mai, har gow, baked lava bun, baked pork dumplings, steamed spare ribs, and spicy wontons. They didn't have a crispy noodle and some items were already gone. We also tried ordering the flat noodles but it never came out. We had great experience dining in here. The standout for us was definitely their pineapple buns with custard filling, which are hard to find with real pineapple chunks these days. Everything here is so mediocre but I guess you cannot expect much when you are not in Rowland/Hacienda Heights or SGV. They don't cook anything here. they mainly boil and steam which is quite interesting. Place is small and it's your typical wait staff service at other dim sum's establishments. I usually only take out from this place since we are near by. I called in on Sunday at 1:12pm to place an order for take out, we got there around 1:40pm. We were on our way from somewhere going home and didn't want to wait an additional 30-40 minutes which it typically takes after ordering at the restaurant. Damn, this place got a glow uppppppppp. My family often orders take-out from here and on occasion, I've dined in a few times, but let me tell you this place is looking and acting brand new. It tasted a bit too sweet like the instead cooking it from scratch, tasted like they pre bought bbq chicken then put it in the rice noodle also the casing felt pretty soggy. The shumai and shrimp dumpling tasted pretty good and standard to most dumpling places. Meaty, filling and flavorful. The last item was the wonton in spicy chili oil. I actually liked this item, usually many restaurants that have this item make it a bit sour but there was just a mild spice from the Chinese chili oil without the sourness and I thought it was pleasant.
