I had the crunchy dragon roll and the crunchy roll, I subbed spicy crab for regular crab in the crunchy roll and it was really good. Overall the rolls were good and fresh, I would just say that compared to other sushi places in the area, this place is very light handed on crunch topping and sauces that are on the rolls. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the table to fill up and the chef to come with the food, as there were three other parties at the same grill. The service was good. It wasn't too noisy. So we have been to this shiki sushi a few times now and have had the various dine-in experiences. We had just the regular dine-in & recently we just tried the Habachi-Teppan. Both times the experiences have been great... the only thing I'm going to sing them on is we have been there a few times, and the location charged us the regular bill without tip, and then a second charge of the bill plus tip. This happened twice and we had to call our banks to tell them to void the ones without the tips because we were charged twice. Then when we tried the Teppan, almost all the plates on our "bar" were chipped and scratched, and the linen cloths were stained terribly. I took a pic so you can just how dirty it was when we recieved them folded up. I get... it's stains it's not actually dirty, but it still looks unclean and unsanitary... for where this location is and how busy it always is... I'm sure they have enough money to get their linens professionally cleaned or at least buy new ones every now and again. In anyway both times the food has been good and the service we get is always good too. Every now and again we get a waitress who doesn't check in on us or takes forever to get us things like our drinks or check... but nothing to serious. I've been here many times for some nice sushi. They have great cocktails, but no hand-crafted cocktails though. Although most of what they have on the menu are great drinks. Their Mai Tai is awesome and the martinis are bomb. Their services are great. Also like this place for what they offer. They have the Teppan grill if you want to do that. They also have sushi bar where you can sit at the sushi bar and enjoy having sushi being served by the sushi chefs. Then they also have booths and tables that you can sit and have some privacy. I like their sushi combo A or B that's such great prices for what you get. This spot is very clean, nice, and popular in this area. We don't have a lot of good sushi places here. read more

My last visit they didn't serve me at all because of the way I was dressed and looked I just came from the gym. I am writing this review because I believe this place deserves higher than a 3 star rating. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant on Easter. We had never been before and it was the only place open on Easter but we were really happy we went by the end of our meal. We sat at the sushi bar and I was really craving something lite and with blue fin tuna. Our chef made us a tuna ceviche that was amazing! 10/10 would recommend and I will be back for. He also made us little orange bunnies which I thought was cute. Our chef was very accommodating and I appreciated him taking the time to make something special. This kind of food place is a hit or miss, and my experience was a miss. Very few people were there but we were seated as far away as one can get. Service was very slow and my appetizer only came out when the chef came out to cook for our party. The chef, to me, seemed only to go through the motions, and acted bored or not caring. The food was good, the portions small and they couldn't get our order correct. The chef had to confer with the waitress several times. I'm not impressed and based on the prices, I will not return. I love Teppan cooking so I go to Shiki Sushi. Everytime I get either the scallops or shrimp they are so over done they are chewy. The scallops still have the muscle attached which makes them even worse. Other than that everything is great. read more

I go to Shiki once or twice a week. My last visit was last Sunday. when I go no matter what my bill is always $300 or more I will never go again to this location. I don't like the other one because I like the servers and the cooks here in Redlands however, there are some servers and some cooks that are extremely rude and who do inappropriate things and I have children who sit at my table sometimes. i'm highly disappointed in the manager on duty because this was one of my favorite restaurants to eat at and now I don't even know if I wanna go back. My family and I used to love coming here until a recent experience that will not have us ever returning. My mother and I came for dinner before watching a movie and the moment we sat down we were so rushed by the server (the ladies In red) we had went with another mother and daughter who have never been so we were explaining how the process went and what's good , after we asked the server to give us a minute she rudely raised her eyebrows and sat against the grill and waited their once again rushing us, after we put our order in for food we also ordered a few drinks. After we finished eating we had a little left of our drink and the manager (small little old lady in all black) came up to us and said "if you guys can finish your drinks or move over to the bar to finished your conversation" I was shock and immediately told her we are paying customers (the bill was $200+) and we will leave once our drinks are done and she once again told us that she needs to hurry and sit these people I stated " we will never be returning to this restaurant again". This entire dinner was less than 1 hour and to be rushed trying to enjoy my food and drinks is very disappointing. This is a review for their sushi bar, I have not tried their teppanyaki yet. Overall, I feel this place is slightly under rated on Yelp. The sushi was pretty good. The highlight of the meal was the baked lobster roll, it was loaded with crawfish on top. Also the baked muscles were tender, juicy, and delicious. It's a derivative of the Roman name for an ancient area in the Province of Ankara in modern day Turkey. She was able to get us a table and a very entertaining and talented chef although we were an hour late. The food was exquisite. I was wafted to Heaven on the trembling wings of giggling angels when I tasted my filet mignon. That cow must have been a Buddhist. Very contented. After passing this restaurant many times we decided give them a try, and to wait for traffic on the 10 to die down. This was about a week before the Covid-19 lockdowns pt. 2, but the patio was open with tables well spaced and largely under the overhanging roof The paper menus have a scan code to unlock their menu but due to poor internet service (not their fault) I had to read the menu taped to the front window. We settled on three rolls and an order of baked mussels. The food came out quickly enough and that's how we learned about how big their rolls are and that two would have been enough. We were hungry so no roll left behind.... the fish was fresh, a big plus and between the three rolls we had a decent sampling of salmon, Hamachi, tuna, and a couple other types. While good the rice was a tad dry, nevertheless, this didn't stop me from polishing off my allocation. The mussels arrived separately (we ordered them after the rolls) and looked and smelled fresh as well- the chef didn't cut the muscle holding the meat so possibly be ready to pry them off with your chopsticks. The sauce they used was good and they were hot when they arrived. Overall, a good sushi place, nothing stood out but we enjoyed the servers' attitudes and helpfulness.
