I was pretty disappointed after reading all the good reviews. I was expecting homemade rolls and rhubarb jam. They weren't bad but nothing to write home about either. Definitely not homemade unless you call thawing out a frozen roll and baking it homemade. I ordered the chicken fried steak which was very bland. Mashed potatoes were the consistency of elementary school paste. These had to have been from a box. I enjoyed their fried cabbage. Shared a slice of coconut cream pie - for restaurant pie it was pretty good. Waitress was excellent. Staff was friendly. Restaurant needs updating and a thorough deep cleaning...or should I say degreasing. read more

Such a sweet place! Food tastes like a home-cooked meal, a feel you don't get from a Cracker Barrel. The people are friendly and attentive. It was a nice escape from the everyday restaurant. I didn't try the bread because I'm not eating flour, but it looked soooo good I had them take it away. I had the hamburger steak, green beans and fried cabbage. I'm not from this area but a nice lady I met recommended this restaurant and a nice man that works at the hotel I'm stating at (Homewood Suites) gave me directions! His thank you from me was the delicious home made chocolate pie. I had the meatloaf/mash pots/green beans plate. Taste just like my grandmas...well almost...no one beats her cooking! The rolls were good but became amazing when I put their rhubarb-strawberry spread on it!! The service was excellent. The owner Ron walked around checking on everyone and introduced himself to me. Great place for breakfast. Very reasonable. We had the strawberry banana French toast and blueberry pancakes. Both delicious.

My heart skipped a beat... so I took some aspirin to avert the heart attack. My wife says, "it was GOOOOOD!" and she required that I use 5 "O"s in that quote too. The items I tasted fresh, not frozen. We started with the fresh giant yeast rolls, butter, & jam - yum! Next some sampler platter appetizers. The breading on the onion rings was think and crispy, not thick and doughy. We also recommend the fried green beans. The chicken tenders had the same thin flaky breading, which we liked, and were actually tender, no rubbery! Tasty entrees included the pork loin, chicken tenders, fried catfish, and chicken fried steak. The grilled catfish was sub-par, over seasoned - stick with the fried. TIP: if you want room for appetizer and a desert, split 1 entrée per couple. We had no room for dessert, & have leftovers in the fridge. read more

Disappointed by this place. I was hoping that the old diner decor would mean it was old diner style food. Biscuits and gravy were bland. They use the disgusting fake, microwavable bacon that you would get at an old run down motel. The pancakes tasted weird- very yeasty. Coffee is weak and portions are small. On this particular day I did not have time to cook breakfast (at least for what I wanted). My craving on this day was for buttermilk pancakes, sausage, and two eggs over medium. I remembered SHILOH'S's was known for really good breakfast and home-cooked meals, therefore, I called them up. The person taking the order over the phone worked very hard through a bad connection and because we were having such a difficult time she gave me another number to call. I learned later that the number she had given was her personal cell phone because the phone at the restaurant was receiving calls with static in their line. She took my order for a short stack sausage and the eggs over medium and told me my order would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. I drove up to SHILOH'S's and upon entering the restaurant my order was ready in less than three minutes after my arrival. The waitress who took my order brought the order to me and told me that she added some rhubarb and strawberry spread for me to put on my pancakes with just a tab of butter. What a great recommendation that was. In fact I ate the entire short stack with just butter and the rhubarb and strawberry spread. I found it to be a delicious treat. I have had multiple meals picked up from this restaurant when I'm in town from Texas and I can honestly say that every meal is a great one. So if you're that person who likes and enjoys home cooked meals in a clean environment this is a spot for checking in to. read more

I have loved this place for years. Have made several reviews about how wonderful it is. Now I guess I should say WAS. Tonight was an absolute disaster. We were there for 15 minutes before we got drinks. Then another 50 to get our meals. Had I not have taken my Dad with us I would have just left. Once we got our meals we all wish we would have. Every thing was cold. Anything that had gravy on it had already skimmed over by the time it was brought out. The French toast tasted like it was made hours ago and just put in microwave before it was brought out. To top it off they were out of bananas that go one it and chose not to tell you. Just brought it out without them and walked off. So so bad tonight. We could hear every one arguing in the kitchen. They were out of everything. Will be hard to get me to go back. This was my second bad visit in a row. Very sad. Very disappointed. read more

My review is based on multiple catering/ to go orders. The food is always consistently good. The other thing that is always consistent is being extremely late with the order. No matter how far in advance the order is placed and how large or small the order is, it is always ready up to 30 minutes after it is supposed to be. There are always excuses and the same lady putting the order together always pressures you for a gratuity even after leaving you waiting for 30 minutes. I have waited a long time this year to stop in and get food from this restaurant specifically the hot rolls and jelly however what I received was dried out carrots mushy dumplings and a roll that was so hard I couldn't even eat it. Good Down Home Cookin. Chicken Fried whatever with lots of gravy. Pro Tip..Ya might ask for the gravy on the side otherwise you will get gravy all over everything not a complaint just an observation. Shiloh's is my favorite place for lunch. Food is consistently good and service is prompt and friendly. Their daily specials are displayed on a table as you walk in the door so you can see what you get when you order. I usually don't get the special but order off their extensive menu. They have great chicken fried steak, meat loaf and fried chicken. And healthy options,too! Such as wonderful salads and vegetarian dishes. And each customer get a huge freshly homemade dinner roll. I believe you can ask for a second one but I'm so full with everything else that I never have! Their pies are homemade, also! My daughter and I shared the rib eye. It was so juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly! The grilled onions and mushrooms on top were a nice surprise. The homemade rolls are so big that you can save half for dessert with the yummy strawberry jam on top! We also enjoyed our salads and ice teas. We went to lunch at Shiloh's today. Not real busy, but about average for the time of day. I ordered roast beef dinner, should be easy right? Husband ordered sirloin steak, medium. We are talking and waiting, talking and still waiting. Our waitress comes over and says, those people got their food because they ordered meat loaf. So what? Another table gets their's and I am looking around for our waitress when some man that works there asks what I want I answer, our food. He comes back and says, about five more minutes, and I am not happy. He says it has been in there only ten mins. pH no, I told him just charge us for the tea and bread, well here comes food. I've been here several times. As a dine-in place I find it enjoyable. The music is upbeat and seating is comfortable. But this time I placed an order to go so my mind was in a hundred different paces. I paced my order with a kind older lady. The staff is polite and seemed attentive to my requests. I ordered chicken and dumplings and made sure it came with the homemade rolls. Next I ordered mozzarella sticks straight from the website menu. The waitress looked at me like I was speaking Greek! I was semi scolded for ordering them. (Change your menu? Please change your website. Some of us rely on website information) I settled for fried mushrooms. Not what I wanted but they are good! lastly, I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger. The order came and I was out the door. I've never had to check an order before. Employees get paid to pack correct orders. By the time I sat down with a friend to eat, much time had passed. The chicken and dumplings had no bread with it. My burger was just a burger. No mushrooms or Swiss cheese. I was looking forward to it. There would be no way to correct it this late. Guess I can't trust anyone with a simple task of checking their own work. I usually stay in Broken Arrow at least one night a week. I keep returning to Shiloh's for the home style cooking. I have tried the chicken fried chicken, open faced turkey sandwich and chicken strips. They have all been good. Favorite is the beer battered chicken strips. Vegetables are ok with more choices than usual. The rolls are always great. Desserts are very popular here. My favorite is peach cobbler. Service is usually very good. Someone from the owner's family will probably check to see if you are happy. read more
