We came here with a large party after a graduation. There was a decent variety of food, but some was definitely subpar. I'd definitely avoid the tempura as it didn't have the right coating and really didn't work with the broccoli. The best item was definitely the steak in my opinion. The seasoning was delicious and it was cooked to perfection. The short ribs weren't bad either. The coconut shrimp was tasty as well, but I've definitely had better. The sushi rolls was alright and there was a wide selection, but some of the sashimi didn't taste the freshest. They had a decent amount of salads around the corner, but I didn't take part in any. Another great thing was the dessert bar. I really love almond cookies, so I was elated to see them there. Their orange slices were perfectly sweet. Some of their cakes weren't had either. I also love when buffets have a good selection of ice creams, so it was nice to see they had several flavors. I got pistachio, which was just okay in flavor, but nice that there were bits of pistachio in it. I also got green tea which was a little disappointing, but there was a tinge of tea flavor. There were non-sushi options such as hot food(noodles, stir fries, and fried food, along with sushi. There was also a separate dessert and fruit section. For the price it was worthwhile. The sushi didn't appear frozen and was quite tasty. I noticed there weren't any sashimi pieces just all either rolls or Nigiri. The service seemed prompt. We stopped here with a group of14, mostly small children. We were seated quickly. The staff were so friendly to all the kids. They gave us discounts for the youngest ones. We were astonished by the wide variety of food. The sushi rolls were all so fresh and so many options. My husband doesn't eat carbs so he was in heaven that they had some sushi with no rice. I never went to a buffet besides a Brazilian steakhouse where the food was all hot ! The service was great as well. The only draw back is the price , it's more on the high price mark for a buffet . The dining room and buffet area was clean as a whistle as well as the restroom. All of the hot food and sushi was extremely fresh, no day old leftovers for the early birds! The sushi was delicious. The hot food options were hit or miss on flavor. Now the hibachi was a hit, hit, hit! The steak was very tender and the shrimp was cooked just right. The veggies were perfectly aldente. Took a chance for my birthday meal and came here because our regular buffet has lost quality. They close at 3pm to prepare for supper. We got there in time to be amongst the first seated at 5pm. Everything was clean and the food looked very fresh and appetizing. Delicious raw seafood bar had oysters, shrimp, mussels as well as steamed crab legs. Then comes the sushi. Such a huge selection it was hard to decide. Everything was very creative and delicious. They had some assorted Chinese style dishes which were hot and tasty as well.. our waitress was more attentive than some full service restaurants I've been to. I have been going to shinju for years, took a break from the buffets because lve been watching my waist line, but consistency is key here. They food is always fresh, and is always revolving. I mainly come for the crab legs and oysters. We came in pretty late and they were about to close but were still able ti get our fix for everything we wanted. We went in for dinner but I was telling hubby I did not have much of an appetite since surgery. Dinner price was 25 per person and if you can only swallow some soup and that its , its not worth it.
