This a Formal Complaint: Unacceptable Employee Conduct and Cursing at Chew Time Grill & Buffet that's at the Pembroke Pines Location. I am writing to report a severe customer service failure at your 12375 Pembroke RD, Pembroke Pines FL 33025 restaurant on this day, June 13, 2026 at approximately 3:11-3:25pm. My server, Reymen, tall Karen, Asian or Chinese maybe was extremely hostile and explicitly cursed at me before my family and I before leaving the restaurant. As a paying customer, being subjected to vulgar language and verbal abuse from your staff is completely unacceptable. This behavior violates basic workplace standards and hospitality rules. I request that corporate management investigates this incident, reviews the store camera footage if necessary, and takes disciplinary action. I expect a response detailing how this is being handled. Receipt/Transaction ID# 506141378223635, total amount adding up to $68.42 with NO Tip (of which I wrote on the Merchant's Receipt. As I approached the counter to pay, Reymen rudely told me to hurry up. I told him that I was sorry. I didn't know that he was waiting on me. He asked me if I had already given him my credit card? I quickly told him that I really don't like his tone. He quickly said, "I don't care!" I asked him what did he meant by saying he didn't care... I asked him for his manger, said he was the manager, went on and on saying he didn't care. The lady at the counter said there is no manager, when I asked her for his higher up. I asked few workers about his higher up manager. The frontline person behind me asked me to explain the situation. He smiled and looked at Reymen several times as I was explaining. On my way leaving he kept cursing at me profusely. At one point, he advised me that there are cameras everywhere because I was looking up at the cloud ceiling design my son was admiring. I told Reymen that I hope the cameras could hear the filthy words he was saying to me. Other people around and his co-workers heard him including customers. My son left asking him why was he cursing at me. We went to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday and it was not a good experience at all. She was shocked on the way Reymen was speaking to me. Because I didn't curse back at him, I hope Reymen don't think I would just let that go. read more

Chowtime is a Chinese buffet that also offers the popular Hibachi grill experience. This is a great space for large group meetings as the restaurant space is large! We went for dinner time on a week night and the buffet was very well stocked, and service was on point, always cleaning our dishes promptly with a fast beverage service. There was no problem that the group had requested separate checks, so this makes it a great venue with you have a friendly gathering or say a Bookclub meeting there. The food was good! I tasted the hibachi grill. It does take a bit, but the result was delicious and fresh. From the buffet I gravitated towards the sushi offerings that were available. The sushi was standard for buffets, tasty and fresh. No frills. Later I noticed they had replenished the crab legs as those walk away fast: a favorite in many buffets! They had several tables of food, clearly labeled to make your choices easier. This is one of the better buffets. The price is not expensive for dinner nor lunch. Lots of options from sushi, chicken wings, different types of rices, hibachi, and so many more options. The food was fresh and tasty and I constantly saw them replace the bins with fresher food. As soon as you enter you are greeted and the staff is friendly. I did notice that some staff had some drama or something was going on because we saw one employee crying. The place has a nice entrance with lots of seating and very clean. The only thing I did not like was that the bathroom was dirty. Toilet paper everywhere, toilets not flushed, the stalls were not cleaned. First time here. One person at my office could not say enough about this place. He loves it and bragged about how good the food was. So a few of us went. The moment we arrived, they immediately showed us to a table. We went up to get food and they had everything you could imagine. The hibachi was very fresh. Our coworker really bragged about that. I got a little bit of everything. They cook it right there in front of you. You can ask for spicy, more sauce, etc. I also got the different chicken dishes on the buffet line. Chow Time is an Asian buffet in the Pines area right at the corner of Pembroke Road and Flamingo. I've grown up coming here and have seen the name change a few times but got to dine recently here with friends. You really can't beat the prices here, even for dinner. A great option if you're going with a big group or just want to eat an AYCE buffet without breaking the bank. I think I am a bit more picky with my buffets since I've been to a few but this one is okay. They have a pretty wide selection but everything was just okay. They have sushi, hibachi, crawfish, hot foods and more. The hibachi didn't have as much selection for seasonings or sauces and the bowl I got my finished hibachi in was chipped. The service was fast for bringing out our drinks but for a Monday dinner, it felt like our server was rushing us out although it wasn't too busy. For desserts, they had a pretty big selection but everything was featured in masses so the quality wasn't there although it was high quantity. I'm so used to green tea or pistachio being an ice cream flavor at all Asian buffets, I was a little sad they didn't have that here but that's just a personal let down. My wife and I always drove by this place CHOW TIME, we finally stopped by to try the buffet, and the food was very good., I enjoyed the Fried shrimp, thin steaks, blue crabs, ribs and their Ice Cream selection. I love taking my son to all-you-can-eat buffets--he's a huge fan of endless sushi! So naturally, this spot seemed like a perfect choice to celebrate his 8th birthday since it's close to his school. That said, the restaurant is definitely in need of some serious TLC. The carpet and booth seating are worn out and dirty. Seeing grocery store Oreo cookies in the dessert section also felt like they weren't really trying anymore. On the bright side, the servers were as friendly and attentive as always, which we really appreciated. Hopefully, the owners will invest some time and care into refreshing the place soon. We recently gathered there to celebrate my Mom's 86th birthday (central location and affordable when you are splitting the bill three ways but paying for 14 people) on a Friday evening. The buffet area is large, bustling, and offers a tremendous variety of food (salads, cold food, Southern food, fried foods, sushi, Chinese food, Hibachi, desserts, and more). So, you are bound to find something you like. I especially liked the chicken and mushrooms and the beef and broccoli. The crispy string beans were good, too. I did not try the sushi; hubby did not care for it. The Hibachi meals were popular and well liked at our table. I love seafood, so packed my plate with three different kinds of shrimp, crawfish, and small crabs. The only shrimp that was tasty was the butter shrimp. My favorite salt and pepper shrimp was mealy. They did not have pistachio ice cream (say what? An Asian restaurant with no pistachio ice cream), so I settled for a small cup of the coconut. It was satisfying. I went yesterday after about 2 years of not eating there. I had some foods that smelled and tasted disgusting like they were cooked in old rancid oil. These were the baked broccoli with some sauce that clumps of oiled flour. The ribs definitely were suspect too of being cooked in old rancid oil. And at this point I don't recall what else because whether it was good, the bad spoiled dinner for me due to the after taste. On the hand, one of the cooks or whoever he was kept just dumping leftover food on to the new trays in such a sloppy way. For example, he dumped leftover cake right on top of the new instead of just neatly adding to the side of the pan. Nope! He just made a mess of it. It didn't look appealing at all. The same he did with other stuff too. I understand doing that with chicken, rice and foods of that nature but some foods deserve their presentation. I don't think I will be eating there again. As soon as you walk in you see the hostess the greet you and is a fast sitting during the week. Staff is pretty friendly. The decor is very cute and modern. what so ever there is something i didn't like and is that the waitresses don't change their glove. The wear gloves all the time and is the same glove that the use to clean the table and give you your drinks. That's why i give them 3 star. Food wise you have plenty of variety and station they even have hibachi. Food is pretty tasty and good. The have a nice selection of sushi which is pretty good as well. The price is pretty fair. Staff members were diligent with restocking the food and bringing out fresher foods. They had a large selection of food that was section off by food type. They have a waitress that come to your table and take you drink order. What top it off is that they have a hibachi grill. You choose your veggies, meats, and rice and stand in line and a chef will cook your meal on the hibachi grill. They have a list of different sauces 1- 4 to choose from.
