Buffet area (Hibachi grill and sushi are on back wall)

Chowtime is a Chinese buffet that also offers the popular Hibachi grill experience. This is a great space for large group meetings as the restaurant space is large! We went for dinner time on a week night and the buffet was very well stocked, and service was on point, always cleaning our dishes promptly with a fast beverage service. There was no problem that the group had requested separate checks, so this makes it a great venue with you have a friendly gathering or say a Bookclub meeting there. The food was good! I tasted the hibachi grill. It does take a bit, but the result was delicious and fresh. From the buffet I gravitated towards the sushi offerings that were available. The sushi was standard for buffets, tasty and fresh. No frills. Later I noticed they had replenished the crab legs as those walk away fast: a favorite in many buffets! They had several tables of food, clearly labeled to make your choices easier. Everyone had a great time picking many of their favorites, and at a roughly $20 per person, this was an excellent choice for a budget friendly dinner and conversation! Enjoy

Just like the Tamarac location, Chinese buffet with hibachi. Lots of food to choose from, normal Chinese foods to sushi to a nice dessert bar. We were seated quickly for a party of 4. Great prices. Huge dining area. I like this location a little bit better. Food was good, especially the fried crab

This is one of the better buffets. The price is not expensive for dinner nor lunch. Lots of options from sushi, chicken wings, different types of rices, hibachi, and so many more options. The food was fresh and tasty and I constantly saw them replace the bins with fresher food. As soon as you enter you are greeted and the staff is friendly. I did notice that some staff had some drama or something was going on because we saw one employee crying. The place has a nice entrance with lots of seating and very clean. The only thing I did not like was that the bathroom was dirty. Toilet paper everywhere, toilets not flushed, the stalls were not cleaned. Overall, it's very inexpensive and worth the money, just don't expect a clean bathroom, but everything else is clean.

I came on a Sunday for dinner. The restaurant was a little crowded. They sat us pretty fast. The restaurant is good at managing crowds. Everything seems to flow smoothly. I noticed The staff was fast at cleaning empty tables and getting them ready for new customers. Everything was well organized, great management. The buffet was good. Everything was stocked at all times. The people looking after it were on point. I was happy with the selections they had. What I had tasted good and fresh. My family liked the place. The dessert table was a dream lol. The salads tasted fresh. I was happy with the spread they had. This wasn't a loud place eventhough it was busy. I could hear the music playing. I liked the choice it had. The atmosphere was pleasant. The staff fast and friendly. My family enjoyed the place.

Went for the great unlimited lunch and it was just as advertised UNLIMITED. The selection of apps, sides and meats is really impressive. Very friendly service including a robot that brings out some dishes to the table which was very cute. Left full and will definitely be back!

Chow Time is an Asian buffet in the Pines area right at the corner of Pembroke Road and Flamingo. I've grown up coming here and have seen the name change a few times but got to dine recently here with friends. You really can't beat the prices here, even for dinner. A great option if you're going with a big group or just want to eat an AYCE buffet without breaking the bank. I think I am a bit more picky with my buffets since I've been to a few but this one is okay. They have a pretty wide selection but everything was just okay. They have sushi, hibachi, crawfish, hot foods and more. The hibachi didn't have as much selection for seasonings or sauces and the bowl I got my finished hibachi in was chipped. The service was fast for bringing out our drinks but for a Monday dinner, it felt like our server was rushing us out although it wasn't too busy. For desserts, they had a pretty big selection but everything was featured in masses so the quality wasn't there although it was high quantity. I'm so used to green tea or pistachio being an ice cream flavor at all Asian buffets, I was a little sad they didn't have that here but that's just a personal let down. Overall, a good buffet if you're looking to get a bang for your buck.

I politely asked if the seasoning could simply be left off due to an allergy, and my request was refused. Rather than accommodating a simple dietary restriction, I was told that the dish wouldn't taste the way the chef intended. While I understand wanting to preserve the intended flavor, customer health and safety should come first--especially when dealing with allergies. I find it concerning that no effort was made to accommodate a reasonable request or even ask about the severity of the allergy. In today's restaurant industry, flexibility and customer care are important. Unfortunately, I found the service to be very unaccommodating, and given the high prices, I expected much better. I will not be returning.

My husband and I are pretty picky when it comes to restaurants, and we both enjoyed everything. Honestly, some of the reviews we read didn't match our experience at all. The service at the bar was great too. I brought balloons for the celebration, and the staff helped get everything set up, which was very nice of them. From the moment we walked in, I had a feeling there might be issues. There were only three other families in the restaurant, yet it still took quite a while for the hostess to seat our party of four. After being seated, we waited nearly 20 minutes before our waitress even acknowledged us. Once we placed our order, the food took a long time to arrive, only for my husband's surf and turf and side of fries to come out cold. We sent the meal back, but when it returned, the steak was overcooked and the same lobster tails appeared to have simply been reheated, leaving them overcooked as well. The waitress brought over the manager, but unfortunately he was not helpful. He seemed surprised the food came out poorly a second time and simply offered my husband a sandwich instead. Overall, the service and food quality were extremely disappointing, especially given how empty the restaurant was.

It is a reduced portion of their menu as it includes only 5 choices, but the choices are good enough that they are a great sampler of the food and the portion size is abundant! I ordered the tenderloin over the huancaina risotto and it was a huge portion (not a lunch menu item). The sauce was a bit salty so I did not take it "to go", just the delicious risotto and the tenderloin chunks. Three friends ordered the "trio" sampler with ceviche, fried calamari and some risotto; a couple friends ordered the sautéed chicken with white rice and French fries that looked spectacular, and a couple other friends ordered the fettuccini in huancaina sauce with the breaded chicken filet that was a humongous dish and very yummy!
