I recently visited the place and again the food was great but there's this one waitress there that would literally watches you over your shoulder. She sits there and wait behind you and wait till you're done with your meal and right away she'll come up to your table and snatches your plate right off of your table. She will do this all the way till you're finished eating. On top of that, she'll stand and wait 5 feet away in front of you and watch you while you look at your check, place your tip, and sign it. This is so F**K**G RUDE!!! How SAD! It SUCKS! Another thing that I don't like is how they would have the sign in front of that podium where they sign in people for seats. They have a sign that says $15.99 for lunch and $17.99 for dinner. What they don't tell you is when it's a holiday and they don't tell you about the $28.99 jacked-up price until you're finished eating and they'd hand you the bill. We came across this buffet during lunch time and decided to give it shot. Upon entering the place you notice a clean and nice ambiance. We were seated after a few minutes and ordered our drinks, then we proceeded to the sushi buffet everything looked neat & good. On the other-side is the desert buffet with lots of choices of cakes, fruit & ice cream. Along the back wall you find a variety of bourbon chicken, orange chicken, fried rice, soups, vegetables dishes. We enjoyed a little of mostly everything, all the chicken dishes were very tasty. Was given a gift certificate a while back by a family member so I finally decided to try this place. There is plenty of free parking available in the lot outside. Came here on Friday night around 8:30pm. We were promptly greeted and seated right away. I was pleasantly surprised there was no wait considering it was the weekend. This buffet is very clean and organized which I loved. They also ask that you wear your mask and provide gloves to use while at the buffet to get your food. They have a wide variety of sushi, the most I've seen at any buffet. They also have a hibachi section where you can choose from the vegetables and proteins you would like them to make for you. This isn't the biggest buffet but they do have a good variety of food opinions including dessert. Overall the food was really good and I would recommend this place. read more

I highly recommend Shinju Buffet Restaurant for groups birthdays, any type of celebration and overall hungry people. So many great options to choose from especially the Hibachi. It's fresh and the portion serving are very generous. Remember to tip the Hibachi chef. Great meats, shrimps, sushis and vegetable dishes to choose from. FYI...on a side note...I wouldn't mention this in my review if I didn't think this items was amazingly delicious, try out the chicken nuggets. They taste better than McDonald's chicken McNuggets and are so crispy and yummy! The service was excellent and the restaurant is clean. I would definitely be visiting this Davie location again. As a point of reference for lunch Mon-Sun is priced it's $15.95 and dinner specials are priced at $19.95. This place surpassed my expectations. They have a good selection of sushi to pick from, some cooked and some raw. I stuck with the cooked stuff. They also have a hibachi in the back corner where you can have them make you chicken, beef or shrimp with vegetables of your choice. My husband loves the crab legs... too much work for me. And tonight, I had some moist ribs, some steak kebabs they were just OK, some soup that the wontons were horrible. There's a lot of sushi on the other side and there's desserts but the main buffet just has one row and at lunchtime it's horrible.! And you can't pick out your own stuff for the hibachi. He picks it out for you and maybe I want more than he wants to give me because I didn't like anything on the Buffet part they had this fish that was not good. The shrimp was good and the noodles. The waitresses always had the drinks filled and were pretty attentive. They also had a hibachi chef, lots of food to choose from to have them stir fry it for you. Finally, their Chinese food section, it's smaller than a regular Chinese buffet because their specialty is sushi. My go to would be lo mein, fried rice, crab Rangoons, and general Tsao chicken. I came to this place for lunch on Wednesday. The place was busy but not packed. It was a nice flow line of people waiting in line to get the food, and you don't have to wait long. It's $15.95 for all you can eat sushi + habachi grill buffet. I was impressed by the varieties of sushi they have available. Most of them have fish, which is good, and not just veggies rolls or something. I was craving for sushi, so it hit the spot. Their hot food items are not that impressive compared to other buffet places. Very basic, nothing special. You can go to their habachi station, select ingredients you want, and they can cook it for you, which is nice. They have cold shrimps and mussels for their seafood section. Small assorted desserts are available as well. I give this place 4 stars solely on the fact that the restaurant is very nice and clean, well run, and for their sushi selection. I have been to Shinju quite a few times for their lunch buffet. I will say that I am normally not a huge buffet fan, but this is quality spot if you are hungry for some sushi! It is an all you can eat buffet and offers a lot of sushi options, hot Chinese food, soup and a hibachi grill made to order all for the low low price of about $13. You honestly can't beat it. The sushi options are pretty large and are being made non-stop in front of you. The hot food options are always full and constantly being refreshed throughout lunch service. The hibachi is also made to order and you can get a variety of combos to your liking. It's a buffet, so the sushi is good, but it is no frills. They have some specialty rolls, but its not going to be best thing you have ever had. Still good quality though, so don't let that deter you. The service is also really good. I find that sometimes at a buffet you can overlooked, but the servers are very attentive to clearing plates away as you finish and refilling drinks as needed. Depending on the season, the fresh seafood may not seem very fresh, so this can definitely be a hit or miss. As for the service, our waitress was very attentive in refilling our drinks or taking any additional requests. Went there for lunch. Price for an adult is reasonable at $14.95, but the price for small children, the price is high. My grandson is 4 and my granddaughter is 11. An 11 year old is charged the same amount as an adult and a 4 year old is charged the same as a 10 year old, $10.95. My grandson eats maybe 8 small pieces of sushi and has a few cubes of jello and a small bowl of longans for dessert. The selection is not great but it's adequate for lunch. I had the hot and sour soup and that was not very good. The best thing offered was the peel and eat shrimp. They actually use large shrimp and they were good. Otherwise, it was all pretty run of the mill buffet food. So so at best. But they should do better with their pricing for what they eat. Based on my visit on Monday Jan. 31, 2022 and this is my opinion. This has always been one of my favorites but last nights visit was the worst. The crab legs were hardly out and when they put them out, it was a very small amount and everyone grabbed them. The craw fish sat so long in the pan that they were water dogged and mush.
