I ordered off yelp so I could pull up to the window and leave fast in and out. I get to the window the woman says she can't give me the food yelp ordered through grub hub I have to walk inside. I walk inside grab my food check it in the car missing one of the kids Do-Nuts. Go back inside get it no problem. Get home check the drinks one short. So mad! I call them and the lady on the phone says I didn't come there she can't find my order. My favorite Shipley's! Not all Shipley's are created equal, and this location is proof of that. It's clean and well managed. The doughnuts here are large, fresh, and non-greasy. Their kolaches are also made well. Love that they serve beignets - they're actually really good. I really appreciate the quality of the product they put out. I went to Shipley's this morning and paid almost 10 dollars for a dozen donuts. There was not enough icing on them to even see just glancing at them. Uhm...what?! This place serves up beignets, fresh upon order?! This location is officially my favorite Shipley spot in all of Texas! This place is probably the most fully stocked place I've been to, and still fresh too! I visited this place twice in one weekend, both times in the afternoon between 2-5p, the donuts were still fully stocked and fresh. The cinnamon twists are huge, and they offer three varieties: chocolate iced, glazed, and sugared! The other donuts are just as large, I've probably never seen a bigger bear claw from any other Shipley locations (or reg. donut shops, for that matter). The beignets are definitely Texas-sized, and served with a nice cushy blanket of powdered sugar. I would love it even more if they offered some honey on the side. They also have the most extensive beverage selection to go with your coffee...as in...unlike most donut shops, they serve more than just drip coffee. Pretty much anything you'd like, they have. They even have a soda dispenser with all the different flavors you'd want (vanilla coke, etc). Total Shipley's Donut Experience 24-7 with Beignets! So the other Beignet place I like to go isn't 24 hours, doesn't take Credit Cards, and sometimes has a little more attitude than I want (you know the one I'm talking about). This Shipley's, located on Westheimer just past Kirkwood, has all the excellent Shipley products from donuts to kolaches, but has gone upscale with great coffees, specialty drinks, online ordering (who does this at a donut shop???), and great service. I've been here about five times now (along with a cool Yelp event) and I've never been disappointed. The "attitude" here is a desire to please the customer. What other donut shop has meal combos or daily specials? The interior eating area is rather small, but there's a nice sidewalk patio in the front. It's a very new store and immaculate. This place trumps a lot of the other Shipley's locations. Get your evening on at the Bull & Bear Pub and then sharpen your senses with sugar covered, fried dough and a latte at your new favorite late night (or early morning) spot. But recently every time I go through the drive-thru they either have a hard time hearing me, or claim that they don't sell a certain item whenever im looking at the menu and it says they sell it. The best shipley's I've ever been to! After coming here, I see every other shipley's I pass by or go to as inferior... Oops! The staff here is so pleasant and nice which for some reason seems pretty hard to come by with these donut shops. Donut heaven! Came to this location right before midnight as they have a 24-hour drive- thru. Right before driving up to order, there is a post to your left where you can grab a menu if you're not familiar with what they serve. Since this was my first time visiting a Shipley's establishment, I definitely splurged and let myself go with this order. I ordered 2 Classic Glazed Donuts, 2 Maple Glazed, 1 Apple Fritter and 1 box of Beignets. After biting into my Classic Glazed Donut, I found it to be quite satisfying as it was fresh, warm and soft. Then I decided to take a bite out of the Maple Glazed, but I wasn't really impressed with that since it did not compare to my first bite of the Classic Glazed Donut. It tasted like it had been out for a while. It was more chewy than soft and did not feel or taste warm at all. That was a little bit of a disappointment, but that didn't stop me from proceeding on to the Beignets. Opened the box of 1 ct of 4 Beignets and immediately took a bite out of one and was completely satisfied! It was hot, freshly made and covered with powdered sugar yum! I'm definitely a fan of their Classic Glazed Donuts and Beignets. This surely satisfied my cravings for sweets! They have an iPad, wifi, a cafe kitchen that makes drinks similar to Starbucks, & a modern decor that makes a "regular" Shipley's feel run down. A very classy outfit. I was wondering what took so long but I guess since they basically pulled in right before I did, it would take a little longer than if they were already there. The owner is great, he is friendly and actually at the store twice I have been there. I am not much for donuts but in the middle of the night when I was moving they came in handy for some quick sugar. The beignets are fantastic, they really push the beignets and have them on special on a bunch of deal websites, I imagine those and a the coffee drinks are their highest profit margin items. The drinks can be skipped, we got a smoothie with our beignets because the Groupon we had mandated it. It was fine but definitely not worth the over $4 list price. It was just some carton mix and ice, I would be willing to spend 2.50 maybe 3 for one but never 4. Also they are very well connected to the online world. They have every profile under the sun and offer great deals all over the place. They have a weird deal which is a lunch special with a kolache, chips, a drink and a donut, I have seen it go for $2 on Groupon Now. Good deal but a weird lunch to me. Overall, a must try! read more

We come here at least once a week, doesn't matter what the hour is...if we are craving it, we'll shortly be Shipley's bound! Late at night, there's never a long wait.
