Great spot in Egg Harbor! We sat on the patio overlooking the beautiful harbor. Service was fantastic. We loved to be seafood dip appetizer (ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture!)

White wine slushie with cherry boba

White wine slushies with cherry boba, it was more important than the food for me!!! You can have one with dinner and take one to go. It's a big place, the bathrooms are upstairs.

The Tavern burger

After having a few wine, my wife and I looked at each other and said we better get something to eat before we have more wine samples It was the closest place. It seemed reasonable enough and the food was actually pretty good. The moral of the story if you're out to drink a lot of wine stop at this place and have something to eat before you go or do that.

Buttery garlic shrimp scampi

I ordered the buttery garlic shrimp scampi and the whole bowl was just covered in olive oil. The service wasn't the most friendly, with them giving us some attitude. I thought that the inside was cool but an inconvenience with the bathrooms being on the 2nd floor.

This place is massive! No doubt they fill up too, as this is one of the main (if not the only?) restaurants in Egg Harbor. Downstairs you'll find all high-tops and a large bar area, and on the second floor are low-tops with plenty of room for group seating. We came here on a visit to town with some friends and our kids. Being sat upstairs was perfect, as it's super spacious. My son enjoyed his fish n' chips from the kids menu, which we ordered right away and it was brought to us soon after. A few brews were ordered around the table as well - they have a solid selection of their own beers, along with hard cider and seltzers. My husband and I split a burger, the Jolly Roger I think it was called? Basically the spicer option of the burgers with jalapenos, chipotle aioli, and pepper jack cheese. The flavor was great, but the burger itself was just ok. It was a fairly thin patty, and they're all cooked to the same temp, so it seemed a bit overdone. Bun was also meh. Loved the homemade-style, thick kettle chips on the side though! Our server was sweet and attentive, and the atmosphere was nice. I'd probably give it another go and try something else on their vast menu.

So dry for white fish $27 just horrible.

Good food, good but not great beer, and good service. Good and solid but not great. Worth a stop.

Great location. Good service. Outside dining. I had the Waldorf chicken salad wrap and house made chips. Delicious.

The Fish Boil is part of the Door County experience. This is my first time at The Old Post Office,…read moreThe check in is around the back and you must try to arrive 15 minutes early. We checked in and were pointer to the seating around a fire pit. A huge pot sits in the fire and is boiling . As we take our seats the Boil master puts potatoes and onions in the pot. He explained and told the story of the Fishboil. He threw some Kerosene on the fire and it flared up . He next brought in the fish and let everyone see the fish then through it in the pot. He then warned everyone to prepare for the boil over. He threw a huge dish of Kerosene and the fire flared up . Then another and the fire reached ten feet as the pot boiled over. The whole time we had been sitting in a steady drip of rain but no one noticed. We headed in to the restaurant for our feast of whitefish potato's onions and of course lots of butter to drown it in. We sat under umbrellas but in the end we retreated to the inside for our cherry pie and ice cream dessert. The post office offers a great version of the Fish Boil and if you are in Ephraim be sure to make a reservation.

We sat outside & watched the big flames & enjoyed the beautiful sunset. The fish was so good. We sat outside & the waiter deboned our whitefish table side. It was served with clarified butter & the potatoes & onion were my favorite thing. Coleslaw was great too. We washed it all down with new Glarus beers! The breads tasted like a grandma's recipe. We were so full that we took the cherry pie to go. What a value & fun experience.
