Great food and the flavor was some of the best we have had! Chicken kabobs and Shrimp Kabobs. Salads, bread and hummus! All great! We had it delivered and it was still hot and great!

I came in here today for lunch with a friend. It was a heavy rain day and so there were just 2 people in there so with us made 4 people. I called ahead to verify it was the buffet lunch today and it was. The place opened at 11:00 but the buffet was not all laid out until about 12:15. It was surprisingly large in size. With only 4 customers so far there was food for at least 40 I would say. What I found odd is that the food is all a really dark brown. I see it called Persian online but I asked a Persian friend about it and he thought it might be Arabic. Who knows! Normally a Persiain place says so in the name or on a sign. This place only calls itself "Mediterranean" on their sign and on their van. I have eaten Persian at many places including the middle east and I cant say I can ever recall all this dark brown food. The meats also seemed to be from maybe a day or more before. The lettuce though was definatly fresh. The vegetables were better than the meats. They also put this dried lime in one of the dish and I didnt like that flavor at all. It took me a good while to figure out what it was. The skin all brown and then covered again with a dark sauce. The bathrooms are not clean here. I could see the hall to the bathroom from where I sat and I never saw anyone go in there while I was there. I went in just before leaving. On entry it didnt look good. I go in one stall and the toilet paper is empty, just the empty roll but no tissue on it. I go to the next stall and oh geez, someone didnt flush! I expect this was there from the day before. Whomever did it I flushed for you. It is obvious the bathrooms are not tended to.

Plates are real big so by ordering mix of meats you can definitely get full. Beef Meat was not tendered and it you had to chew it a lot to eat, chicken was real good. And Bakhlava pastry is very big, in other restaurants I am ordering 3 pieces of them, but here you can easily order one and it will more than enough

I discovered Shish Kabob on Yelp after reading glowing reviews by Alexa G. and Cherry L. At lunch, Shish Kabob's main draw is their lunch buffet. Older reviews report the buffet price as anywhere from $7.99 to $8.99. Those prices are now out-of-date as the current price is $9.99. The lunch buffet price has steadily increased over the years. In comparison, each entree on the regular menu is typically $9.99 and up. Many of the regular menu items can be found on the buffet. Several of the buffet items aren't labeled, so you may have to figure out what some of the stuff on the buffet is for yourself. Buffet items I've encountered include: Naan - flatbread Fried shredded potatoes Meatballs (beef) Ground beef kabobs Steak kabobs Chicken kabobs Ghormeh sabzy - sauteed herbs, beef, kidney beans, dried limes Khoresht bademjan - beef, onions, tomato sauce, eggplant White rice Adas polo - white rice with lentils, raisins, caramelized onions, saffron Baghali polo - white rice with dill and fava beans Fresh basil, mint, cilantro, and onion salad Tzatziki yogurt Cucumber salad Pickled vegetables A variety of sauces Desserts - grapes, pastries, banana pudding The naan is not very good. It's cold, hard, doughy, and flavorless. The rice, however, is quite good. I enjoy their adas and baghali polo (rice) and usually get an additional helping each time I go back to the buffet. It's light, fluffy, and fragrant. I'm not a big fan of the steak and chicken kabobs. Oftentimes, the kabobs sit out for too long and the meats get dry. The ground beef kabobs usually hold their juiciness the best. They're usually tender and savory, almost like eating seasoned hamburger. The "fried shredded potatoes" are essentially hashbrowns. There's even a bottle of Hunt's ketchup next to it. As for the khoresht (Persian stews), it's not bad. I like both the ghormeh sabzy and the khoresht bademjan. Aromatic and flavorful, they go perfect on top of the rice. There's another stew on the buffet that I can't identify. It has noodles and Garbanzo beans. Desserts are lackluster. Shish Kabob has a small bar with four hookahs. The restaurant is old and the furniture is worn. They have a patio, but it's really only designed as a waiting/lounging area. If you're looking for the restaurant from the road, the sign outside says "Mediterranean Grill" in big letters and "Shish Kabob" in smaller letters below.

The one star is for the beetles crawling on the floor. That alone will keep me from ever going back. I got the $10 lunch buffet and the only thing edible was the ground beef shish kabob. I tried the chicken, but the ligaments and tendons made the meat almost inedible. The rice with cranberries was good, but the flavor didn't mix well with the meats. The naan was dry, flavorless, and crispy/stale. I did enjoy my Coke because the ice was shaved, not cubed.

First time visiting Marietta, & we love to try Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine anytime we visit a new place! The staff here was incredibly friendly & helpful, even while having to deal with multiple to-go orders needing to be picked up. The shish kabob meals were absolutely delicious! The bread was also freshly made in house & wonderful. Highly recommend!

I frequently visit this spot. Today I tried their gyro to go for the first time. The parking is a small lot so be prepared for that lol. Friendly staff always. Pretty decent size restaurant and they have hookah. The gyro although could have been a bit bigger it was definitely delicious. For only $5 and I got a free bag of chips. Maybe I'll order two gyros next time so I'll be full lol

Good food, very friendly staff The buffet was $11 after taxes, wide range of vegetables and rice and meats I couldn't lend that fourth star due to the lack of freshness... While the food tasted good, overall I had a feeling that the salads could have been fresher and the mint sprigs were served on the stem versus placing the leaves in the salads They just need some more TLC in food prep - but overall you would not be disappointed in your meal Oh and they blasted cartoons on a huge tv during a lunch hour - way too loud and too obnoxious given the lunch/business hour

Your food sits amongst renovation materials and tools.

Horrible atmosphere and food. Service is completely non-existent. They over charge. Not authentic.

Barg tenderloin. Great food. Place is easy to miss. Glad we stopped in!

Great place. Glad we stopped. The location is easy to miss, and its in an older building. Nothing dressy... The food and service: Outstanding! I had the Barg kabob with rice and salad and wife had chicken wrap with greek style salad. All was amazing

Kebab platter - it was awesome. I ordered the traditional yogurt drink and not so good.

On my trip from Knoxville to Atlanta, I would always stop for lunch or at times dinner. Their flavor profile is great and always fresh. Lunch Buffet is pricy and gone up to $12.99 but it's still well worth it. You get grilled bone in chicken , barg minced kabab, cube of steaks, Kofta Kabab, 2 veggie, salad , 2 to 3 kinds of rice, bread, hummus and few desert items. The desert is not so great but hey they have it. Summer time the outdoor seating is available where you can sit on day beds and hang. Hookah is also available at this place.

    Mix platter; juicy and flavorful!

Absolutely Incredible - Best Meal I've Had While Traveling!…read more I travel all over the country for work, and I can honestly say Delbar delivered one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I sat down, my bartender Taz took exceptional care of me. I wasn't familiar with the menu, so I trusted her recommendations, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Every single dish she chose was outstanding. I started with the fresh pita and hummus topped with the mushroom, shishito pepper, and egg addition. The pita was warm, fresh, and unlike anything I've had before. The hummus was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The chicken wings were phenomenal, perfectly grilled with incredible flavor and just the right amount of char. The highlight of the night was the lamb neck with the Polo Sefid. The lamb was unbelievably tender and flavorful, and paired with the saffron rice, it was one of the most memorable dishes I've ever eaten. What truly elevated the experience was Taz's service. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the food. Her recommendations made the entire meal unforgettable. If I hadn't trusted her guidance, I would've missed out on an amazing culinary experience. Beyond the incredible food, Delbar has an atmosphere that is truly special. The entire restaurant feels warm, welcoming, and almost familial as if you're being welcomed into someone's home rather than simply dining out. The lighting is absolutely gorgeous, creating the perfect ambiance without feeling overly formal. The decor is tasteful and elegant, the bar area is stunning, and the dining room strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Even the approach to the restaurant and the outdoor space are beautifully designed. Every detail feels intentional and contributes to an experience that is as memorable as the food itself. Delbar has officially become a must-visit anytime I'm in Atlanta. I'll absolutely be returning, and next time I'll be bringing family all the way from Reno, Nevada so they can experience it too. Thank you Taz! Thank you, Delbar, for an unforgettable evening!

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Once seated you're gifted a complimentary starter Sabzi Plate that includes fresh herbs, feta cheese, walnuts, Castelvetrano olives, crunchy radish, and premium walnuts. For food, I have tried complimentary Sabzi plate, Zafron Special, Grilled Chicken Wings, Khoresh Badenjoon and Lubia Polo. I will describe them detailly below. 1. Sabzi: sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, walnuts, herbs, feta. Served with perfectly baked Naan 2. Zafron Special: an interesting app with mashed eggplant, diced mango, chopped green onions, herbs, and chili oil. Had a refreshing heat and sweetness. Perhaps the spiciest dish I've ever had in Persian restaurants! 3. Wings: I have tried the wings in Delbar, Divan and Yalda before, but Zafron's were just next-level. Perfectly coated in Saffron marinade, nicely charred, amazingly crispy skin and juicy meat. The side sauce was sweet and slightly spicy, whcih paired well with the wings. 4. Khoresh Badenjoon: Basically beef, eggplant and tomato stew. Compared to the similar items in Rumi's, Delbar and Sufi's, this one has the boldest flavor. It does not have beans (so good for a FODMAP control diet) and used lots of dried limes and (whole) cardamoms, which created a very bright, sour base. Compared to Rumi's and Sufi's version, this one also had more, and larger chunks of beef, which gave more texture when you take a bite. The eggplant was delicious, but I wish it could be skin-on like the one in Delbar. 5. Lubia Polo: Basically green beans and diced beef cooked with rice. I only had Lubia Polo in Rumi's Sandy Springs before. In comparison, this one had more beef, and slightly less salty, but did not have as much tomato paste. **Note** the comparisons are only for the purpose of a clearer description of the dishes. For service, the waiting time for both food and check were reasonable, and the staff were all friendly. During my second visit my server gave me 0.5lb of baked naan and extra Sabzi when I asked for a to-go box for just the leftovers... For vibe, it was quieter than many other popular Persian restaurants (but I like more noise haha), and thus walk-ins are possible. The trees inside the restaurant were beautiful. In short, highly recommended. I will definitely visit again to discover more dishes!

The salmon was fully cooked but still flaky and tender, and juicy. I found it flavorful enough, but there is a salt and pepper grinder on the table if you need it. It comes with a roasted tomato and a huge mound of saffron rice. I liked the rice a lot but it is a bit plain. If you want a more flavorful or interesting rice, you can add a different rice for $4. Those extra charge ones come with a lot more toppings like different nuts, herbs, or dried fruits. I'd like to try more different dishes next time, but what I was very satisfied by what I ordered. The restaurant is very dimly lit. The server was very nice and attentive. It's in a strip mall area so parking isn't hard to find.

I had a delicious meal here and a really great experience overall. The ambiance is beautiful, and…read morethey have plenty of large tables that make it a great place for groups, parties, or celebrations. We visited around 3 PM on a Friday for a late lunch and were seated quickly. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see that they have plenty of options on the menu. We started with the yogurt dip with cucumber and the baba ghanoush, both of which were very tasty. For my main dish, I ordered the veggie kebabs, which come with saffron rice and grilled pineapple--my favorite part. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. They also offer lunch specials from 11 AM to 3 PM on certain weekdays, and we happened to arrive just in time to take advantage of that, which was a nice bonus. Parking was easy as well. I would definitely come back!
