I have been coming to this shoe care center since they were in Collin Creek Mall. They always do a phenomenal job restoring my shoes. Recently, I took in a pair of boots that were ruined by paint stains, cheap cleaner, and a bad fall on the cement. I almost disposed of them, but I couldn't find another pair that I liked in that specific color, so I decided to see if they could fix them up. Shoe Care Center completely restored my boots for a very fair price. To top it off, when I called them to get an ETA for pickup, I told them the Plano location was closer to me and they brought them to the Plano location for no extra charge. read more

Very unreliable. Repairs were not even started on the day of delivery after taking upfront payment. Rude and belligerent when mistakes pointed out. Shoddy work, did not even clean the bag from inside, forget treating and reconditioning the leather. Quoted $45 and charged $70 which was the quote for the big purse which he didn't even work on. He also conveniently vanished from the store at pickup time to avoid confrontation. The lady at the counter spoke limited English and had no knowledge of the product. Service requested was a simple purse repair (I just needed tiny screws replaced on the hardware). The screws provided were not flush, and anyone could see it was not a good job. Whoever fixed the items didn't have the correct size screws. I complained (NOT in a nasty loud Karen way..but yes I was frustrated bc I had waited 2 weeks for a sloppy job done) and the owner told me he didn't "need this" and for me to leave. Keep in mind, I have been a customer here for 3 years. Then he must've really needed those tiny screws back bc he removed them! It was low and petty. I know it's hot outside, but people need to calm down. I will seek leather repairs elsewhere, as I don't "need this" either. read more

I am legit FUMING writing this review right now. Clearly this place doesn't know how to clean designer shoes and then has the AUDACITY to claim that I bought a fake Chanel shoes because clearly they assume all designer shoes have just leather on them. Their cleaner solution ended up dying the mesh with their cleaner and they scrubbed the suede part of the shoe making it all curly and clumpy. But it's not the part that they took three months to eff up a shoe (they promised my bf it would take a few weeks to clean and that was in November... it's February now lol) or the part that my shoes are ugly af now but what PISSES ME OFF THE MOST is that I was on the phone with them and the person working there made it seem like I shouldn't be upset over this. Never ONCE gave me an apology when he's the one that messed up my damn shoes. And for him to say that my shoes were fake and that's the reason why the chemicals had a bad reaction to them???? What kind of business does that lmao. That's what made me mad. I could've forgiven and been more calm and understanding if the owner of this stupid business actually apologized because it was his fault for ruining the shoes and he has the audacity to make it seem like I was being over dramatic. I saw the ratings and convinced my wife to let me take her prized boots into the Shoe Care Center for a minor zipper repair. After returning to pick them up on the Monday after they were due to be ready (Saturday), the two employees had to search the entire store... twice... then call the owner for help. They finally found the boots but no repair had been made as the owner told us he would do when we originally left them with him. The clerk called the owner who proceeded to tell me on the speakerphone that they had to make leather patches (a small leather patch to join the original leather strip) and fix the zipper... none of which happened. The zipper was unchanged and the leather patch repair as the owner told me they did truly did not happen (see photo). At the counter, a small cut on the inner leather liner was poorly glued instead. The glue fell apart upon touching it. Even the clerk noticed it was poorly glued. Very shoddy work. The owner wanted to charge $25 plus tax for a non-repair. Instead, I called it for what it was... no repair made earns no money. The clerk gave me the boots and I left as an unhappy FORMER customer. Sadly, we will never return to this shop again due to the poor service but more so because of the disappointing lack of honesty experienced. read more

The reason they gave to me is ... they tried to help me but because they need to use the different materials which one guy confirmed with me on the first day when I dropped my shoes was wrong! They were to stitch a hatband on 3 hats. Dropped off on a Saturday and were promised the next Saturday. After one week they were not ready. The owner then called and said he was going out of town on vacation for the 2nd week. He promised to have them ready that next Saturday. Not Ready. He finally had them on after 3 weeks. After being told specifically how to put them on, he put them on incorrectly. My wife picked them up and he told her that is how they were always done. Not true. On top of that, he only put one stitch on each hatband. That is one stitch per week so far. 3 weeks = 3 stitches. (and they advertise shoe repairs while you wait). We went on vacation and I noticed the errors once we got back. We took them back and demanded that he fix the issues. Guess what, another week. The guy is never there and the person at the desk always has to call the boss to find out what to do. 3 hats, 6 stitches, = 4 weeks. Ridiculously BAD read more

I wanted to wait to wear the mended shoes a couple times before I wrote a review that I might be fair and accurate. The work done was impeccable. The service time was quick and the price great! One can tell he really cares about his customers and isn't looking to over-charge you for his excellent service. The love and care and be sensed in the quality of work done as well. I brought Stacy Adams in because I left the shoes in the car and the summer heat which melted the glue and detached the sole from the shoe. Instead of just re-gluing the sole (which I expected and would have been perfectly fine with) he stitched the sole onto the shoe that I may never have this problem again. Came here after losing most of my belongings after a horrible fire and tried to salvage an important bad and some shoes (designer). The smoke smell was incredibly strong and the water damage didn't help. I honestly thought they would never be salvageable but Luis, the owner was so professional and did an outstanding job. After researching, I opted for this shoe care center to have my Doc Martens' oxfords stretched. Not sure why there's negative reviews, the employees here were super nice and helpful to me and the other customers in the store. My shoes are much nicer now. The owner here is INCREDIBLY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! He is completely tactless when it comes to dealing with customers. I came in this store to drop off some heels, and witnessed him yelling at this gentleman who was complaining that the owner did not contact him regarding the changes he did to his shoe. All the gentleman simply asked was for the owner to call him with the number he has provided if there were any issues. The owner did not call, and the shoes were not fixed accordingly or on time. The owner's response was that there are more important things in life than to worry about the customer's shoes and asked the customer to leave. The customer asked for a refund and was frustrated, and understandably so. I have never felt so awkward experiencing second hand how rude this owner is and will not be returning! I recently ripped a sandal that needed a little stitching up. I remembered seeing this shoe repair shop the last time I was at Stonebriar Mall, so I decided to take the shoe there the next time I was up at the mall, since their sign said they do repairs while you wait. I went in on a Saturday and showed them the shoe and was quoted a reasonable price so I decided to have it fixed while I walked around the mall, but was told it would not be ready until Wed. I asked if it could be fixed while I waited, as I didn't live near there. They were very nice and accommodating. DO NOT TAKE YOUR SHOES HERE! The owner will "accidentally" lose your expensive shoes and will take the ticket and tell you he is "looking" for them. When I allowed him ample time to find them, as his son stated there were many to go through, he then had the ticket, the shoes, and the repair money. But i suppose when he made the comment (after having quite a few shoes repaired previously) that i had nice shoes and that I must spend a lot of money on them, i probably should have run to the next repair shop. After significant time passed the owner seemed quite pleased that he had gotten over and offered no recompense. Not even an apology, just MAJOR attitude and would not allow his son (who is the only person I had ever dealt with in this establishment) to take responsibility.
