Yay! I'm so happy there's a Shoe Palace close by. It's in the old Bank of the West building. The Kevin Durant mural is also on the side of the building. COOL!!! Parking is hell tho. Metered, limited parking on a busy street next to a residential area . Tons of shoes for men. Limited shoes for women. I didn't see any kids but maybe I didn't see that wall. My son is so juiced for this store because it's close enough to get to for him to ask for shoes more frequently lol.

ALL MY HEALTHCARE FIELD WORKERS!!!! Check them out!!!…read more I have been dying at work due to me wearing the wrong shoes, and everyone has been telling me to try Hoka shoes. I didn't even know how to pronounce the shoes when I called lol. I was on Google and was trying to find where I can buy some from that was close by... I didn't really feel like going far or a lot of other shoppers in the store, crowed.. just too much social anxiety. So I found this very cute aesthetic pleasing " nurse shoe store " I call it online. I called and spoke to Victor on the phone, he's the OWNER!!! Super cool chill guy...great vibes - I loved his vibe in fact. He told me what they had in store and what most Nurses go for but he had exactly what I needed. I came on by, he brought out sooooo many different brands for me to try on and even different styles in the different brands. He took his time with me, he was not rushed. Didn't mind helping me actually find a great shoe that worked for me, he even let me try on each and every one of them, measured them for me to make sure they were a great fit... There was me and another customer in the store and also another store associate I believe name Andrew!!! Everyone was super chill, it was definitely vibes. We all talked about shoes and the shoes we were looking into and I felt so comfortable. I really want everyone to come check out this store!!!! It's so hard to find a shoe store that FOCUS on COMFORTABILITY rather than TRENDY!!! And idk about you, but I'm getting up there in age and being comfortable means more to me than anything!!!! I want everyone to check them out!!! Parking right in front of the store. Which is also a score!!!! Oh yes, best part!!!! GREAT PRICES!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never go buy another work shoe anywhere else!!! EVERYONE RUN NOW DON'T WALK!!! CHECK THEM OUT!!!

Knowledgeable, friendly, great selection, nice vibes. Did not feel like they were selling me…read moreanything, just there to be helpful. Standard high end running store prices. What's really cool is they have a physical therapist in house a couple times a week to analyze your gait. I'll definitely be shopping here for my next pair of active shoes.

Visited the Foot Locker at Emeryville Bay Street with my sister to look for Puma Big Kids sizing…read moreand had a very poor experience. Most employees were gathered at the cashier chatting instead of helping customers. When my sister politely asked for a different shoe size to compare, the associate was visibly irritated and repeatedly said "they're all the same," clearly unwilling to check the back. Only one employee was actually working and organizing the store. The lack of professionalism and customer service was disappointing. We ended up leaving and buying our sneakers at Shoe Palace instead. Management really needs to improve staff training and customer engagement. I hope management takes this feedback seriously by reinforcing customer service expectations, providing better training, and ensuring staff are engaged with customers rather than disengaged at the register. Experiences like this are a quick way to lose loyal customers and negatively impact the store's reputation.

Everything about my Footlocker experience was horrible. That includes the store and their customer…read moreservice from their online shop. They advertised a shoe I wanted for one price at the store it was more. When I tried to call the store to ask if they had the shoe the automated response immediately says it can't connect me. After a few attempts I tried calling the customer support online to see if they could tell me if the store had what I was looking for. (Side note: in contacting them online they have an option to sign up and get 20% off shoes that cost more than $99. These were yet online and in the store would they honor that.) I was assured by the representative that my nearest location had the product I was looking for. Entering the store at a mall where there is no free parking I was told that their phone hasn't worked in months! (That's not good business.) The clerk then informed me the shoe which was on sale was more than the price online. (That's not good business.) Then I was informed the special discount for signing up for e-mail notifications didn't qualify me for the discount. (That's not good business.) Then I was told that they didn't have my size in stock. (That's also not good business.) So I'm not happy about having to drive out to a place where I had to pay for parking only to have this experience. This was the first time I've been inclined to buy from them. It will be my last. This didn't seem to be an anomaly. I had called another location and the phone call was not answered. And looking at reviews from another nearby location that has since closed I can see a trend towards a business in decline. I only give them one star because I'm unable to not give them anything. As they gave me nothing but a bad experience.

I entered this store with a goal of purchasing well-fitting walking shoes for a two week vacation…read morethat will involve lots of daily walking. I had the pleasure of meeting and receiving assistance from Brian. He is very knowledgeable and low key. For the first time, I had my feet scanned and he recommended the New Balance 960s. They fit great. They fit even better with insoles; Brian explained the benefits of swapping out insoles while traveling. Then I saw a cute pair of Dansko closed toe sandals. Tried those and they were perfect. And then I bought a Baggallini cross-body purse. Got a big discount on the purse, a discount for buying the insoles, and a great price on both pairs of shoes. This store has a small but purposeful selection. I really enjoyed my first visit and will be back!

Victoria is the best!…read more I went into Becks because I was looking for personalized support in choosing the right fit for my dream shoes, the Boston clogs. Birkenstock fitting is very different from any other shoe, and if this is your first pair, you definitely want some professional help. Prior to Becks, I went to some bigger stores, but I didn't get much assistance and was still unsure about the size I needed. I chose Becks because it gave me the impression of being a locally owned shop that really knows its business and can help with the fit. That impression turned out to be absolutely true. I was greeted by Victoria, who analyzed my feet thoroughly, noted the areas where I needed more support, and, since I was set on the shoes I wanted, helped me find the right size. When I came into the store, I was deciding between EU sizes 42 and 43, but the scanner showed that I was actually between 43 and 44. Victoria pointed out that the 44 fit me better based on the way I walk, and that's something I would never have figured out myself. If not for her, I would have ended up with the wrong size and years of potential discomfort. When I tried on the size Victoria suggested, I was surprised by how big the number seemed, but I immediately felt the difference in the fit. As another customer noted, Victoria really knows what she's doing. I was very pleased with the experience and will definitely come back for the next pair of shoes I have in mind for fall. In fact, we even got a pair for my partner, who was hesitant to try anything other than his Nike Dunks. Thanks to Victoria's recommendations, we were able to find a great fit for him too. Overall, it was a great experience. Support local!
