The associate let me know it would arrive early morning the next day. I never received a call like they said I would so I waited all weekend and when I finally came to pick it up they had sent over the wrong size. The owner then forced us to go pick it up in Daly City if I wanted it that same day and offered no partial refund or even a discount on a future purchase. Will be blasting them on TikTok. Order on Stock X. Associate also made us uncomfortable asking us about our ethnicity instead of just checking us out.

I didn't even want to explain that my dog was a service dog he was so rude! Never going to shop here save your money guys. I don't recommend this place I highly recommend the other shoe place here called Fresh Society and super accommodating too. Also said they would call me back for shoes a few months back and never once did. Also looked at recent reviews looks like everybody hates it here recently

They mainly sell vintage and modern secondhand clothes, bags, and shoes for women and men, but they also have new pottery from a designer called Familiar. The store is spacious and carefully curated. There is no thrift shop smell and it looks more like a cute boutique than a secondhand store. You can sell your clothes there, too. There are two floors of women's clothes and a separate men's shop across a little courtyard in the back. Most of the customers when I was there were young adults of both sexes. The store was busy on a Saturday in the late afternoon. Fortunately, they have a dedicated parking lot behind the shop with plenty of spaces. The staff welcomed me immediately when I walked in. I was interested in looking at purses and they had quite a few vintage and newer ones from designers like Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Dooney & Bourke. I didn't buy any, but enjoyed checking out what they had to offer. I didn't pay too much attention to the clothes, except to notice that women's pant sizes on the second floor only seemed to go up to size 11/12. If they had bigger sizes, I didn't see them. Overall, I was impressed with Black and Brown and would like to go back.

It took some time to find items that interested me as I looked through the entire store (two floors for women and one for men). Some items were over priced but you can find some good gems here. After meeting up with a friend at OCK and taking a stroll around the complex, I happened to stumble across Project X. What instantly got my attention were the vibrant colors, sick Hawaiian shirts, and sugar skulls. I discovered that Project X is a fitness and island lifestyle apparel brand, and I thought that their printed tees were so unique! I learned that the owner comes up with the concepts and then collaborates with both local and Hawaiian artists on the final looks. I saw a Men's Hawaiian button up shirt with tikis that was in black, gray and teal colors. Even if it wasn't locally inspired, I loved that it was decked out in SJ Sharks colors. I also got a kick out of a Women's racerback t-shirt in black and orange SF Giants colors that said "GAINS" instead of "GIANTS." Ugh, so clever. I ended up buying a black on black "Dio De Los Deadlifts" Women's muscle tshirt, which had such a clean design. Lastly, customer service was fantastic. One of the female employees gave me a brief tour of the store and explained to me the idea behind Project X. I found that all the employees were friendly and helpful, and I had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was a super cool guy.

It's a cute boutique offering California-made items such as pottery, clothes, skin care products, jewelry, art, and more. The store is nicely organized and their items are neatly displayed. I was surprised to see they carry the wonderful Osea skin care products as I didn't know they were made in California. I ended up buying a ceramic spoon rest, room spray, and a tiny gold "diamond" ring. Their prices were reasonable. The store owner rang up my items and was very friendly and nice. The one pair of black Vionic Tide sandals that I wanted, had a slight cosmetic defect. They didn't have another size 6 in black, so I asked Eva if it could be special ordered for me. Since I didn't want to pay shipping, the sandals would be shipped to the store for pick-up. (In the past, if the order was placed in-store, the shoes would be shipped to your home for free. Times have changed.) Before I even got home from my day out, I received an email from Footwear Etc. stating that my sandals were ready for pick-up!!! Thankfully I waited a few days before deciding to pick them up, because I received an email from Footwear Etc. with a "$10 birthday reward" to redeem! I called the store to make sure my order was in, and that I intended to "return" my new sandals and re-purchase them utilizing my $10 reward. No problem! Thanks, Chris! This morning, I asked a gentleman at the Dollar Store if I can take a photo of his shoes. It looked very cool and comfortable. He said it is Hoka and he gave me the name of the store where he bought it: Footwear, etc (Willow Glen). They have a store in Los Gatos as well. In Willow Glen, they have that machine that measures pressure points of your feet. It helps identify challenges you may have with your feet as far as walking, comfort, etc. Sarah was very helpful. She brought me 5 different pairs of shoes and patiently helped me wear them, tying and untying the laces. I told her I can do it but she was very kind. She explained to me the different features of each pair of shoe until we were able to identified the top 2 choices. When testing the shoes (inside the store), I noticed that 2 pairs allowed me to walk normally without pain (which I have not experienced in the last 3 years or so). Even after my back (sciatica) surgery in December, I still feel discomfort and pain. With the Hoka shoes on, I felt my walk was so normal. And, for about $20 more than the New Balance, I am getting a very comfortable and reliable and very scientifically produced pair of shoes. On top of that, their designs are very cool and modern. Thank you so much for your help, Miss Sarah!
