I came in here looking for a seasonal item for a Friday the 13th jacket. There was a clearance section that they directed me to however, Fernando G went above and beyond and helped me look through the entire section since I had no luck finding it. He went ahead and checked the back without hesitation or without me asking and he came back finding the exact jacket I was looking for in the size that was requesting. He ensured to take this customer Service level to a whole new experience which many people don't do nowadays and this is hard to come by! Shout out to the young gentleman who was busting his behind the entire duration of our visit. It seemed like it was only him manning the entire store- finding sizes, ringing up the sales. It was only when we were just about to leave when we noticed another gentleman beginning to ring up customers on the neighboring register. The shoe store was as organized as it could possibly be factoring in all of the foot traffic and unsupervised children running amuck. Back to school shopping is still in full effect so if you aren't interested in unnecessary large crowds gathering & people who don't give 2 effs about distancing.... I would hold off until everything dies down. Shoes are conveniently displayed throughout the entire store and sectioned off at designated areas for men, womens, and children. There are a good variety of shoes to choose from. With that being said, the customer service is always a hit or miss. You come in and are typically ignored, not the slightest bit of acknowledgement. How professional is it when a store manager lies about stock inventory, and then switches up her response to say that there's only less than 10 pairs of them. But then proceeds to indicating that there will be a live raffle and to come back tomorrow morning. Upon arrival to the 925 Blossom hill store located in Oakridge mall and what do you know how coincidental the female store manger tells me "we did first come first serve and they're all gone" right at opening. This is the same store manager who sells full stock to 1 person and changers people money on top of retail or will put "holds" on specific sizes which doesn't hold the integrity of the business as this makes things unfair for anybody else. In conclusion, this is just bad business practices that will tarnish the company name while creating disgruntled customers which is counterproductive in regards to the business they're trying to run. read more

I asked for her name and she was extremely rude and stated that she "didn't have to provide her name". Upon speaking with the District Manager, he stated that he could not honor the price because it was a different shoe. When I asked for his next level manager, the DM stated that he handles all customer service issues. Where's the customer service? It's not my fault the shoes were priced incorrectly. I was impressed by the customer service provided at this location. I was greeted by Eliza, who was near the entrance at the time, and she had asked me if there was anything in specific I was looking for. She guided me to a room which was desginated specifically for Jordans, and had brought me a pair of new Jordan 3's in a purple and white colorway. I was shocked at the fact they were sitting in stores, but nonetheless, I gave in to a purchase. She went above and beyond and ran to grab my shoe. That is salesmanship I can admire. Not only was she very helpful, but so was the cashier. Words cannot express how easy it was to acquire a new pair of kicks today from this location. So I went to Shoe Palace in Oakridge Mall on Sunday because I knew they had half their store allocated to Jordans, all in a separate chill-looking room, possibly the largest selection in the area, not that I would know for sure, but it looks like a lot to me. I showed up armed with the picture my niece sent me of the shoes she wanted, I showed it to Charles, his eyebrows lifted and he said, "man those are retros, they sold out quick, you will need to find them online and you will pay through the nose when you locate them." Okay, so I'm going to have to do some online shopping, no problem, I can't let her down. But since I was at Shoe Palace already I asked Charles to show me the popular styles. He was very helpful. I snapped some pics to show my niece and left empty-handed. Sunday night I sent my niece the pics. I told her I would track down her retros, but wondered if she wanted any of the styles I saw in addition to those. She circled two options. Today I returned to Shoe Palace when they opened and Hubei helped me. He was also very enthusiastic and helpful. It was early so I had the store to myself and Hubei's undivided attention. Although my niece told me to buy A or B, whichever they had in her size, they had both in her size which is great because I'm not a "this or that" kind of person. I'm a "this AND that" guy. There's a difference. She gets two pair now. I'll still hunt for her retros. A girls has to have shoes and I know she likes to have options for her various looks. I'm an uncle, it's what I do. There are plenty of places to buy shoes, don't waste your time here. Experienced a horrible experience in the store last week when I tried to exchange some shoes for bigger ones. The shoes were bought by my Mother for my son right as Covid Quarantine began. They have never been worn and the staff said it had been too long despite the mall being closed almost entirely last several months and the county being on mandatory SIP. We didn't have a receipt but offered to show credit card receipts or find a resolution. If that's their policy, it's poor and not up to speed with their competition, especially during these trying times and given that we didn't have an option which shutdown. Worst off, the cashier was absolutely condescending and rude, and hasn't the slightest bit of class nor received any customer service training. My boyfriend bought me adidas shoes to surprise me. The shoes were super nice and he knew I wanted them. He explained to them my shoe size was a 7 and he wanted the equivalent to that in a kids size. They give him a 6. A six in kids is an 8 in women. Apparently working at a shoe store doesn't require you knowing the right shoe size. The quality of the workers has slowly declined and it's just bad representation of the company. It's extremely disappointing having to go back and try and return them or exchange them at least but a little bit of dirt you can just wipe off doesn't mean they'll let you return them. I walk in passing an employee at the door who didn't great me at all, then I walk over to the shoes and found some I liked, so I start looking around for someone to help me with no one paying attention. I don't normally shop at shoe palace, but I heard from a friend that they had a really good converse selection, so I came by one day. There is an awesome selection of shoes on all the walls. It took me a second to find the converse. Once I found a few pairs I liked, I was approached by an employee who helped me tremendously. Noor helped me get the right size for me, and she helped me decide between two different colors. She has a really great positive attitude and made me feel so welcome in the store. Recently I was at Oakridge Mall at the Little Shoe Palace and all I have to say is wow. I've been going to the bigger shoe palace for a couple years now but decided to check out the new remodeled little shoe palace and was shocked how good the service was. The manager Yousif and his sales team were happy to help me get sizing and give recommendations. I originally was there to browse around and ended up walking away with 2 pairs of shoes. The team was constantly keeping the store clean and attending all customers while I was there. I will for sure be returning to buy more shoes. read more

I can understand why this Shoe Palace location in Oakridge Mall has 2 1/2 stars! We've been shopping at Shoe Palace for many many years at the Oakridge Shopping Mall, and today was the first time I had a very bad experience. Standing and waiting for 15min many of their employees just walked right past us like we weren't there. I stopped an employee walking towards the inventory room, asked him for a pair of shoes for my son, so as we were still waiting for him, I had stopped another employee that was walking to the inventory room and asked him for another shoe. (I mind you that 10-15 min had passed and the first guy hadn't come back...that's why I asked 2nd person to help - since he's already waking to inventory room) A few min after waiting for a very long time, a nice young lady asked if we've been helped, I said yes. Finally the first guy comes out and he said very rudely, "don't ask another person to help you when you already have someone else helping you...you're taking up staff by doing that"...I then asked him if he was the manager, he says yes, then I asked him for his name? He said BRENDEN (I think that's how you spell it). I then said to him "You are RUDE!..we've been waiting for a LONG WHILE! The manager then turns to my son (without any concerns and with a huge lack of customer service) and tells him that your shoe is out of stock but here's another one that's similar. My son tells me that he doesn't like them. Manager leaves us without hesitation... Still waiting for the 2nd guy to bring out the other shoe, and then which he walks right pass us and at the same time that nice girl asks me again if we still need help, I said uuuuh I think that guy that walked passed us was helping us, and coincidentally the manager BRENDEN passes by and hears everything and says the other guy is helping another person then asks me which shoe my son wants, then comes out with the shoes and disappears. So now at the register, I was greeted by that same gal, I ask her if the employees gets some kind of credit for helping customers? She just smiled...I didn't wait for her response and I quickly said..if so, please put this sale in your name, cause you were the only ONE person here that actually helped us "BY ASKING IF WE NEED ANY HELP?!" She then asks me my name, then I asked her name...her name is Lani (I think that's how name is spelt), she shook my hand and said thank you! Wow!! Omg!! This whole time I'm thinking bad customer service! I had to ask for help after 15min of waiting! Manager Brenden was very rude, he should've approached me in a different way of talking to me sincerely, the 2nd guy blew me off and never got us my sons shoes!! I would've been ok with the manager telling me in a professional manner- like - hey for the future, please have just one person help you, the reason is we are under staffed and are busy on weekends, this also allows more employees on the floor to help other customers, please understand. Bought the shoes $180 I try them on tell them they're a bit tight and that I have wide feet but I was told they'd break in. I attempted to play 30 mins with them they were so uncomfortable in an attempt to return them I was just told no straight out. I've forgotten why I don't shop at shoe palace now I remember why. These are performance shoes how am I to test them just walking around? So now I'm out $180 dollars for shoes I won't wear. I get having the no return policy on the receipt is a cool way to get around things but performance shoes when sold should be told blatantly about the policy. This place has all the typical elements of a mall shoe store. Theres always the music, and the guy with fancy shoes that comes up to you and wants "to hook you up." Kudos to this store for not only having the brand of shoe I want but also the style I want. My only real comment is the guy that helped me was pretty pushy towards me buying shoes. I honestly think he asked me if I want to buy them the second I finished tying them up. I don't remember how many times I was asked if I wanted to buy them, but it was a lot, in a short amount of time. Im usually pretty relaxed about buying shoes and when my mind is set on buying them I usually will regardless of how it feels. Good thing my gf was there to tell me to try all the sizes, and with both feet. I defintely had the guy working hard getting me shoes in the back. Customer service takes on a entirely new form here. As I walk in and start looking at shoes, the first employee walks up and says, "What's up dog?" and attempts to give me the multi-step hand shake. I tell him I'm just looking and he starts helping two young men (I'm 47). They are speaking about the weekend plans by using offensive terms and words. I suddenly feel like I'm stuck in the middle of the ghetto. I wait for the employee to finish his conversation by facing him patiently, so I can ask him how much a shoe on the top shelf is. They never speak about shoes. He never returns my gaze. I wait for about 5 minutes (not a big deal) and the other employee approaches me. I ask him how much the shoes on the top shelf are. As he walks by me towards the shoes, he slaps my chest three times. I'm stunned (no touchy!) at this point, but realize this is his way of "being friendly". He gets the shoe down, by using another shoe to knock it down. After telling me the price and learning that they are cheaper at Nordstrom, I thank him for his help and start to turn to walk out. He says to me in a slightly frustrated voice, "How am I supposed to get this shoe back up there?" I really don't expect much customer service, and a little common respect goes a long way with me. A simple, "let me know if you need anything" is all that's necessary most of the time. The employees here have no idea how to treat anyone over 25 years old. OBVIOUSLY the employees here work on commission & since this store is kind of like that ghetto club you've been to but never will again- they have no shame in tryin' to hustle you. I have no problem being greeted, but when I shop, I'm thorough, thoughtful, & like some peace to debate the purchase. The employees here pounce on you the second they see your iris hit a shoe & ask you if you want to try it on. If you do, before you can even finish lacing it up they are pressuring you to say you'll buy it. I hate these types of stores because it is such an uncomfortable way to shop & I think the prices are high. However, my boyfriend likes a certain brand of shoe that they carry a lot of styles in, so we often come here. Lucky for the employee who forced his way on us, we already came prepared to buy. My boyfriend doesn't shop. He knows what he wants and he only goes in to buy it, but regardless, the employee could've given us a bit of breathing room! Lucky for my boyfriend, I was there to make sure he backed off a bit so he could have some time to try on different sizes, try on both shoes, & walk in them to make sure they were a good fit.
