This is a Mom and Pop shop in downtown Wylie that sells assorted items such as home decor, wax melts, lotions and soaps, and assorted other items. In addition, they are a coffee shop - hence the name. Recently I have tried their summer drinks which include the key lime freeze and a peach freeze. I have also had various flavors of their coffee, all very good. They sell pastries which can be seen at the case where you order your drinks. Super sweet staff and owner. Cozy, old fashioned feel. Coffee is great and so are the homemade scones! They really put care into all the things they do and offer great service. Such a unique place! The drinks are incredible. I highly recommend the Snickers latte. I also love their take home coffee, favorite is the Snickeroo. I love brewing it at home & it's perfect black or with a dash of cream & sugar. The store has that charming antique store vibe to it. You could live in Grapevine and it is worth the drive to share a cup of coffee with a friend here. Shoemaker is indescribable. I only use their ground coffee at my house. Their hot lattes are so unique. I talk about this place all the time. I had a coworker in Richardson ( 25 min away) decide to test it against Starbucks one day. Well, now she does all her graduate work studying there and sends me a picture each weekend saying " I thought the ---- was delicious last weekend but wow this --- is fantastic too!" I really hate writing bad reviews but this latte deserves a bad review. I have work as a barista and visited close to a hundred different craft coffee shops so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. The main problem with this latte is the lack of training and knowledge the young lady has about coffee. Just look at this photo, it looks and tastes like a cafe au lait. Lattes have a layer of micro foam on top around 1/8 inch or so. When I asked about the layer of foam the young lady said when people want foam they ask for a cappuccino. I honestly didn't feel like educating her about the correct way of making a latte because that's not my job! read more

I finally stopped by Shoemaker & Hardt after breakfast across the street. It is a country store with a coffee shop inside. The young lady that waited on me was such a breath of fresh air. Usually, young people are rushed and lack good customer service skills...not this one fortunately. I ordered the drink she said was her favorite, paid and walked around the store as I waited. The wait was pretty long but I didn't mind as I looked around the store. Shoemaker & Hardt carry everything from eclectic home decor to candles to greeting cards to marbles...a little bit of everything. Although limited, there are a couple of places to sit throughout the store to catchup with friends. I enjoyed my snicker latte and will definitely be back as I adored the atmosphere. read more

Lovely little shop in downtown Wylie with delicious coffee drinks and fun things to look at while you wait. I had the iced chai tea, and the counter server asked me if I wanted it sweetened (yes) with sugar, equal, or sweet-n-low (pink stuff ALWAYS) and how many packets. The tea arrived sweetened just how I like it, and I didn't have to open a single packet! I have a free token for a coffee drink to share, and while we were there many regulars redeemed their frequent-drinker cards for free drinks and picked up more points for future purchases. Unfortunately I am not in Wylie often enough to participate, but their program seemed to be very popular with their regulars. read more

Service means providing accurate information on any platform a customer uses. I don't get a lot of free time alone with my wife, so date night is a big deal. I checked Google and it said this place was open until 10pm Saturday night. When we arrived, the door was open, open sign on, but the young lady inside said " we closed at nine." Really cool eclectic store/atmosphere. Not great for working in, as it's too cluttered, unless you like the. The flavored lattes are excellent, particularly the Pumpkin Spice Latte (best in DFW)! Pretty cozy little shop of unique items and crafts for sale. Has the feel of a general store. I was thinking more of a coffeeshop (Starbucks) but the actual coffee serving area is small compared to the size of the store. They do have pastries, I stopped in for a late lunch, but they do not have wraps or sandwiches. The staff was very helpful on the items available for sale and what was happening in Wylie. Parking is limited since it is located on the main street of Wylie Square. read more
