I usually come here like once a month since it is so convenient and has great food and drinks. The place is pretty large and has amazing decor (giant fish tanks!). I've never had to wait for a table and the tables are pretty spread which is great. You can sit at the grill and they have chefs do cool shows such as large fires and throwing chopped veggies into people's mouths. I always get the Yaki Soba since I'm a sucker for noodles and it always comes out great. Also ask for the white cream sauce - not sure what it is but it definitely adds some creamy ranch flavor to my food! The drinks are also great. I had a mango mai thai last time I went and it was really yummy and pretty big. Also if you're lucky they will try to get rid of their beer and offer $1 pints of beer! read more

We usually eat here or get takeout a couple of times a month. This past Saturday we were with friends and experienced an unfortunate mishap. In our group of 6, I was the only one that didn't receive my dinner. The waitress had explained there was an issue and it would be out shortly. After waiting about 10 minutes and still no dinner, I found the manager and asked him to cancel my order. He was very pleasant and apologized and went to find out what happened. The waitress explained they had made the wrong item and she again apologized. The manger gave me a gift certificate and all this to say this manager understands customer service. read more

I will start with my experience when you first walk in. The people they have running the front desk are really more like teenagers on their phones and they do not make eye contact with customers. They seem preoccupied with themselves and whatever they want to talk about with each other. It's very offputting. The restaurant itself is a bit dingy. The food is average. Nothing outstanding. Sushi should be served as beautiful looking as it is tasty, but the dishes here come out of the kitchen looking thrown together. I would come back here, but with the knowledge of what I'm getting. It's an OK place, nothing special. I have not had their hibachi so I cannot comment on the quality of that part of the menu. read more

I came here just for some sushi and a beer, and left a very happy camper (watch out for the 20%+ tax on alcohol in Benton County!!). I got an octopus salad, which was very good. Then I got the jalapeno yellowtail, which was phenonmenal (14.95, but worth it!). The sauce was excellent. Lastly was the Tuna2Love roll, with spicy garlic ponzu. This was one of the few rolls I've eaten that had enough flavor in it by itself, no soy sauce/wasabi mix needed. it's nice on the inside, and the sushi bar has ample seating. I can't speak for the hibachi, but the sushi was great. Definitely a place I'd come back to if in the area again. read more

Shogun - Japanese Near Me - Bentonville, Arkansas

There are many Japanese restaurants in town now. But there is only one that you could go to and sit down and have fun enjoying with your company while being entertained while waiting for you food to be cook. You can always count on shogun to put on a good show put on by the chef at hibachi grill area. The chef is very funny, lively and very entertaining. As far as the food goes,it would have been nice if they have a different system so there won't be no cross-contamination among's seafood, fowl, beef and pork. However since the grill is heated to a perfect temperature to cook the food well, I guess it's acceptable and comforting to know that no bacteria will be left alive. As far as the food goes, they practically serve full course starting from either a soup or salad, carbohydrates that you can choose between steam rice or fried rice and chow mein,in different types of protein. I chose the steak and salmon, and they are served with vegetables also. The taste of the steak was pretty good and juicy. It was also a well seasoned in spite of not having been marinated or no dry rubbed applied since it was seasoned well with butter. The salmon was cooked perfectly also. My only complaint was the chef really use too much butter and soy sauce, So if you're conscious about your health especially if you're a hypertensive, this is a good warning. I took my girlfriend out for her birthday at Shogun in Bentonville, AR. We ordered the Filet Mignon steak with chicken which was about $10 more than "regular steak" with chicken. There was one other couple sitting at our grill. We noticed that the chef took our 2 filet mignon steaks and cooked and mixed it with the other couple's "regular steak," which he proceeded to divide equally between my girlfriend, myself, and the other couple. We mentioned it on the way out at the host stand because we didn't want to make a scene about it, and the person in charge said they would just talk to the chef about it. He made no effort to correct the situation by giving us a refund and charging us for just the "regular steak" menu price. We left unsatisfied. We were given a coupon instead of a refund, but personally I would not want to come back to the restaurant to redeem it after that experience. read more

It's a Shogun's. The chain restaurant quality of it makes me want to give it a lower rating, but it does everything well. They also have a beautiful dining area. We got sushi and a bento box. Everything was prepared well. The fish was on the smaller side in the quantity department. Oh and the Sweet tea was gross. So I had an trade me out with a coke. It's a decent restaurant if you got a mix bag of people. But if you want sushi then there are deffinently better places around. See Sushi House. But if you want people to cut up your food and feed you a bunch of weird crap they have that in the hibachi grill, but I'm not super interested in that. Great sushi chefs and they were custom make you a special roll if you want something different that isn't on the menu. Good atmosphere in the sushi bar because you can watch sports. This restaurant has a bit of an upscale feeling to it. I was only there for a short period during a quick lunch meeting. I am a consumer that eats at resuraunts 5- 7 times a week. I have never had the desire to post a negative review at a resturaunt until tonight. The sushi was decent at best. The steak and shrimp hibachi combo was not served hot and the Japanese noodles were actually wheat linguine (I am NOT kidding). Not very authentic or classy. Mostly this resuraunt is a way to market fine asian food without having fine asian food. To be objective though, the atmosphere is great and the waitress was tolerant to our unsatisfactory visit and tried to make the visit at least fun. She did forget to order a meal for one of the people in our party until after we were done eating. Japanese food is my favorite cuisine and this resturaunt should not be proud of thier establishment. The $50 I spent would have went further and the product would have higher quality at a Japanese fast food restaurant. read more

A completely cold bento box, uncooked mushrooms in lukewarm miso soup, lemon in low-budget sencha tea. That was lunch. Most of the menu is Korean, which is OK if it was billed as such. I hate to say it, but this just seems typical of Northwest Arkansas restaurant food in general. If I base my rating on actual good restaurant food, it deserves no more than one star, but if I base it on what I've encountered in restaurants in this area, it might be deserve a three. Wow, so disappointed in customer service at the bar. The Latino looking guy evidently heard me wrong or didn't hear me about getting Sushi. After 30 minuets of waiting he asked if I want a drink. I said no I am just wanting that sushi. He said I never ordered it. I know i did. Clearly remember saying the sushi chef choice. He even said good choice. But he was so busy doing his closing duties my order clearly didnt mater. I asked for my ticket and still tip $7 cash on a $20 ticket. He pushed back the tip money and said I don't want ur money. I said that's the guy I am. Still tip for bad service. I said I won't be back and he bowed his chest saying "are you threatening me" I say why would u take that as a threat? He said cuz if I wanna talk about it in 25 minuets when I get off we can! I just walk away and ask another server who the owner or manager is. She pointed. He was very friendly!!! Very apologetic to his bartender actions and offered free sushi. I'm not about getting free food for bad service so I refused.
