Okay first of all this replaced the old Pho57 and THANK GOD, this place is so much better than Pho. The menu was very simple and easy to ordered, and we all got our foods really quickly. The food itself was okay, my ramen didn't taste too great, not much better than ramen packs you'd buy in the store but the bowl as a whole was good enough. I went to the bathroom and they didn't have paper towels in the dispenser and they didn't even have a garbage? And in the middle of eating THE FIRE ALARM WENT OFF!! It was loud and painful to my ears but they fixed it in a minute but the fire alarm itself was just hanging on by a few cords and it didn't feel very safe. Overall this place is fine, it's good in the Mansfield standards seeing as they don't have any genuine Japanese cuisine around but nothing too special. read more

This place is disturbing. We walked in in NOVEMBER and they had the Republican National Convention (from the summer) playing on the TVS. They also had changed half id the sushi specials to be named "Trump 2024." Very creepy and cult-like. Won't be returning. read more

Go across the street to Fujiyama. It's not that much more expensive, and whoever is cooking at this place,  doesn't deserve to wash dishes at Fujiyama. I think the best thing in everything we ordered was the pickled cuke in Salmon Sunset. The rolls are passable, but everything is extremely bland. The seaweed salad was bland. The vegetarian Ramen was only edible after adding our own sakt, soy sauce, hot sauce and sesame oil to it. It's a good thing this was all take out and could be doctored up. Also, I ordered and paid for 2 eggs in each Ramen and got half of an egg in each. NOT coming back. read more

Ate for the first time at this newer sushi and ramen restaurant in what was formerly an Arby's last night. The food was good, we had an edamame appetizer, a mixed sushi plate and a house poke bowl. Fish was very fresh, and portions were generous. Plates were very nicely decorated and presented. Service was a mixed bag, a very nice Asian man (Owner?) took our actual order, he was great, could not do enough to help us. The other servers were young folks who clearly had no training in restaurant service, were improperly dressed for work, but were eager to please. Expect to need to clearly ask for exactly what you want here, at least until these servers get trained. I never received the miso soup they said came with the sushi order. The restaurant was clearly a somewhat redecorated Arby's with a former take out window. It was comfortable enough, and the place was spotlessly clean. I will be ordering takeout from here regularly, quality of the food was great. read more

This place was fun to try for sure! I was super excited and very hungry. Inside it was different than I expected, defeinetly smaller and more cramped, but not extremely cramped. The service was very quick and cordial. However, the fire alarm did start to go off at one point because it was broke, which was very interesting. The bathrooms were nice, but poorly stocked as of the soap. Finally, the food! I am a sucker for Asian food, and it was great, but not the best I've ever had. The mushrooms and broccoli were great, but the rice a little bland. The chicken was really good, but sometimes the texture was a little bit different. All in all, very good. I probably would not return, but I would recommend. read more

Great sushi and appetizers. Service was excellent. Especially enjoyed their signature rolls. We enjoyed the quiet, no drama atmosphere.

Just gotta dispute the review comparing this place directly to a previous Arby's- it was a pho restaurant before shokudo moved in. Shokudo has VERY good ramen. The tamaki is expensive relative to the portions received and nothing too memorable. Sushi is not their specialty either imo, it was fine but not great compared to what you can get elsewhere in the area. read more

Yesterday family ordered takeout from Shokudo. Our food was good. The menu has a ramen, a variety of sushi and rolls, rice plates and poke bowls. Even though it was pricey it's a good place for dine in and take Japanese food. read more

First time last time ... Poor quality food and very expensive. The pork that came with my bowl was literally shaped bacon fat with some kind of food coloring. The fish cake looked like a piece of Easter candy white with pink center. I had to ask the waitress what they were as they were unrecognizable. All this for almost $20! read more

Finally got in for dinner. This place is great! The food is fantastic, fresh fish, wonderful service.

I read some of the other reviews and the one guy that had a bad experience is not the norm. I have been going two and three times a week for three months. To me its that good. The staff is very friendly and I can't get enough of the sushi and Ramen. read more
