We're on a semi-annual plan. They visited recently and sprayed around the perimeter of our house, and used some localized treatment in a tree where they saw ants. We appreciate their eco/friendly and pet-safe practices (we let the spray dry and then our yard is safe for our dogs again). Also appreciate their responsiveness in setting up the visit by text, and then texting again when the tech is on the way to us. They had a bad answering service, so they fired them and now phones go unanswered. Bills are never sent. Customers are somehow supposed to intuit what they owe despite not knowing what services cost nor what services are performed. Appointments are scheduled via text message. There is no way to communicate if that works but often the technician doesn't show. Most of the time our technician is very kind and will let us know. But he's taking that on himself. He also lets me know my balance due. But, it is up to the service rep. We didn't always have such great, caring guys.

I contacted We Care when I heard scratching and gnawing in my living room wall (no droppings inside…read morethe house itself). I had read glowing reviews on Nextdoor.com. Tom came out and did a thorough inspection including conning hazmat gear and crawling around the crawl space under my house to see if he could find openings where the critters might have entered. Nothing there at all. So after examining the perimeter of my house and identifying a couple of possible entry points, he went up on the roof. There he found an opening near the roof vents, found both mouse and rat droppings. A few days later Alvin came to place a one-way trap...a rodent could exit but not re-enter. He also sealed other openings nearby so it had to go out the trap to get food and water. The plan was to return within a week. I actually heard a rodent go out the trap and try to re-enter but couldn't. The gnawing stopped right then. I still heard scratching, which stopped after 5 days. Alvin came back, removed the trap and fully sealed the opening, then moved the trap to another area. He'll return in a week to fully seal that area and hopefully exclusion will be complete. I was particularly impressed by both Tom and Alvin's deep knowledge about rodent behavior, and their enjoyment at sharing their wisdom. And I was also impressed by the thorough inspection that Tom gave as part of the free consultation. Problem hopefully solved permanently, but at least now I know where to turn. And knowing there is no sign of holes in the crawl space helps me feel much more secure. Thank you!

However, in the following 10 days, we noticed a few ants and called, he wasn't available for another week or more. The ants hadn't resurged in great numbers. Our backyard and front lawns have very large green spaces with lots of plants, trees and different types of foliage. We also get herds of deer at different times each day in our backyard and in the front lawns. Spidexx has been coming in every few days to help with keeping the 360 degrees outdoor space pest controlled and yet keeping it friendly for the deers so they don't get harmed or threatened. Got a cold call from a door-to-door guy trying to sell us their services very late on a Tuesday…read morenight. Upon opening the door at 8pm ! I told the young gentleman wearing a Spidex polo shirt that we aren't interested in whatever he is selling and that is very late to knock on people's doors. He ignored me completely and just started rambling of his scripted sales spiel. I had to very bluntly tell him to leave our premises before he finally left. This is very unprofessional behavior and pretty rude. I will not consider this company for any future pest control services. Teach your sales team some simple manners!
