Last minute decision to come here since it is my first time walking around Flushing, having a hard time picking where to go to even I have few places in the list. Originally, I wanted to go to Nanshan Hot Pot (it is the first place I walked by that is in my list) but we still walk around before making the decision. My mom wanted to come here after seeing people eating instead continue to looked for other restaurants. Came on a Friday around 6pm, no wait. The service was really good, food come out fast and time to time, the service will scoop the dirty bubble for the soup base to make the broth more cleaner.

Walked in on a Friday night with a party of 6 and they had a bunch of tables still open which was nice. We were able to get seated right away, and we ordered a Benz hotpot broth split with spicy, pork, and tomato broth. We ordered the ingredients via the iPad and everything came pretty quickly. There were a lot of servers who were very attentive and helped refill your water or helped you with anything you needed. The ingredients tasted good and the interior is nice and decorated, even though it's in the middle of the mall. Great food and experience overall!

Hot pot is one of my fav meals so I have a lot of thoughts. Overall experience was great! Ordering is on the iPad with photos. It's NOT all you can eat and the items are decently expensive but for good quality meat. They have a selection of tea drinks as well. The short rib beef is much higher quality. The other sliced beef is very fatty. The selection of items averages out. They have a few interesting items like liver, pig brain, winter melon, bamboo fungus etc. but they're missing a few staples like watercress, fuzhou fishball. We got the pork bone and tomato broths which were delicious! The tomato broth was nice and thick and didn't taste too sour. The pork bone broth was wholesome and not too salty. They have a pretty standard sauce bar selection. There are a few appetizer items at the sauce bar too. The interior is very extravagant and looks like you're in china. The music can be a little loud and it's noisy when it's packed. There's a bathroom in the restaurant which is handy because I've waited a long time in the tangram mall bathroom line. Service is quick and friendly. They skimmed the soup for us. Make sure to ask for aprons so you don't splash on your clothes! The benches lift up to store your jackets and bags so they don't smell afterward. We joined the waitlist online an hour before we were going to arrive. There were 36 parties ahead of us when we joined. I wouldn't choose this as my staple hot pot place but it would be nice for when friends are visiting or to treat someone to dinner!

Overall, this was a very good dining experience. The restaurant environment is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere is pleasant. As someone from Sichuan, I found the flavors to be quite authentic. The beef tripe (qian ceng du) was reasonably priced with a generous portion, and the spicy broth was excellent -- flavorful and well-balanced. Service was also attentive and friendly throughout the meal. However, there was a small but concerning incident toward the end of our meal. While eating, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on the roof of my mouth. I then realized that the chopsticks had cracked in the middle, creating a sharp splinter that caused a minor injury and bleeding. This was quite unexpected, as I have never experienced anything like this before. The manager responded promptly, provided ice water, and asked if I needed medical assistance or an ambulance, which I appreciated. A discount was also offered. Since the injury was not serious, I chose not to escalate the situation further. Overall, I still think this is a good restaurant in terms of food and service, and I would consider coming back. However, I strongly suggest that the restaurant improve quality control of their utensils to ensure customer safety. This could be much more serious if it happened to a child. Hope to see improvements in the future.

Food: The quality of the food is very good here. I like this location much better than the Manhattan location. The quality of the food seems better in Flushing compared to Manhattan. There is a sauce bar with many other snacks, including fruits, packaged snacks, pig ear, tripe and intestine in spicy oil and various desserts. The menu is à la carte and they offer a wide variety of hot pot items. The broth is also excellent especially the pork bone and tomato. Service: Service was excellent. Staff are constantly circling to check on the tables and clear empty dishes. Ambiance: The restaurant is very big with a variety of small and large tables. They also have private rooms with large tables inside. The decor is beautiful, and seating is comfortable and spacious. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Cuisine: 9 Service: 9 Decor: 8 Value: 7 Overall: 9 One of the best hot pot restaurants in Flushing, and basically all of NYC. I have tried this chain in other parts of the world too, including my recent trip to Düsseldorf, Germany. Though different location to location, it's always high quality fresh ingredients and attentive service in a beautiful space. At this Flushing outpost, my favorite broth is definitely their signature spicy broth. It lends an awesome flavor to everything cooked in it while getting spicier as the meal goes on. Individual items to order include their fresh tiger prawn, lamb, fatty beef, beef tongue, tofu skin, tofu skin knot, oyster mushroom, "white" silken fish tofu, napa cabage, corn, pork kidney, and goose intestine. I would skip the fish fillet and frozen tofu for next time. Prices are not cheap nowadays for hot pot in general. Expect to pay anywhere from $60-100 per person based on how much meat and seafood you order. Regardless, this place is worth the price because it's a very satisfying meal every time.

    Broths: pork bone, tomato, mala

I've been to the location in Manhattan a few times and recently had the chance to try the one in Flushing for a friend's birthday. This location inside Tangram mall is much more spacious, and everything is similarly intricately decorated. Food is fantastic as well - other than the yummy various meats and veggies we ordered, I have to mention in particular that the broths were fantastic. The pork bone broth is sooo flavourful - savoury without being too oily to drink -- and the mala broth is really spicy and adds the rich flavours to all the food we cooked in it. I was also a fan of the various side dishes, like the red bean soup and cold jelly desserts. Our servers were attentive and helpful, and I was very much amused by the birthday "song" for my friend that they all came out to sing together. It's not the cheapest option in the area, but I think you definitely get what you pay for here. Would love to come again.

Came here with my parents on a Sunday right when they opened and didn't have to wait a all. The inside is super clean and modern, with friendly and attentive staff. Love their unlimited appetizer/sauce/dessert bar. In terms of their hot pot, we got half tomato broth and half pork bone, both were absolutely delicious! I was especially impressed that the waitress would come by and skim the excess foam off the top of the tomato broth so we could see the food better. They have a selection of typical hot pot ingredients that you can order on an iPad - overall solid with nice presentation! I just wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger given the price point. We were able to keep our lunch under $100 for 3 people, but I could've eaten more.

Sauce station pic 2/2. Unlimited appetizers on the top.

Overall (4/5*): I usually prefer AYCE hot pot, which this place is not, but I do think this place is worth trying at least once. They have select unlimited appetizers which was a unique twist. I have no complaints regarding the hot pot itself. Everything was fresh, with good variety, and it was a pleasant dining experience. This place was on the pricier side. If you're looking for a good, no frills hot pot experience this is it. Reason why I gave 1 less star is because I think that all hot pot experiences are pretty similar past a certain point but have the opportunity to stand out with either pricing, a unique food offering, or just one thing that they do exceptionally well. I think that this place does everything well but nothing stood out to me. I'm not sure if I can justify coming back here for a third time, especially when there are other great places nearby, even on the same block as this place at a similar price point. Service (5/5*): I came here once before about a year ago and remember waiting a really long time for a table of 2. Some other reviews mention the long wait. However, this time for a party of 8 on Saturday at 7PM, we were seated within 10 minutes. No complaints about the wait-staff. All the food we ordered came out within 15 minutes and were placed on stools beside our table including extra chopsticks, napkins, cups, and lemon-water pitchers. Ambiance (4/5*): The restaurant had cozy lighting with warm tones. There was a traditional Chinese theme going on. Everything appeared clean. Tables were spaced far apart from others and had adequate leg room since benches were mobile and had compartments to store belongings. Casual dining experience. There was background chatter but nothing distinct or intrusive. However, I do wish there could've been a more private table. Food (4/5*): Soup bases were flavorful. Good variety of meats, seafood, and veggies. Everything that was ordered a la carte tasted fresh. No complaints except that a la carte options were on the pricier side. There was decent variety in the sauce station but I was surprised that they didn't have sesame oil. There were unlimited appetizers at the sauce station which I found myself preferring over the a la carte appetizers. Find comments on select food items below: - Crispy Deep Fried Pork (3/5*): Crispy but a little bland. This was a la carte pricing. I can't justify ordering given the price and option of unlimited select appetizers at the sauce station. - Red Bean Porridge (3/5*): Kind of disappointed by this. It was kind of watered down and luke-warm. Wish it was slightly sweeter or served hot as red bean porridge usually is. - Spicy Crispy Pig Ear (4/5*): Served cold, mildly spicy kick, salty and with a satisfying/addicting crunch from the cartilage. Would not say this was crispy though and would have preferred if it was served hot. I did quickly dip this into the hot pot which helped soften the meat. Would recommend at least trying this as this is unlimited/included in the dining experience. - Seedless Green Grapes (5/5*): Pleasantly surprised by this. They're grapes BUT they're really good. I ate like 4 bowls of these lol... They were unlimited, very juicy, sweet, and crunchy.

NOTE: My wife was born and raised in Chongqing, so she knows what real Sichuan cuisine is all about. Positives: The food is authentic and delicious. Look at the picture attached to this post. The pork bone portion HAS A REAL PORK BONE in the mix !!! Negatives: I can't think of any, other than my wife wanting to go there again, which limits my dining choices in the area.

This hotpot spot is located in Tangram mall and a great spot to grab some comforting hot pot with friends. This location specifically is open until 6am, and my friends and I came here at 4-5am. Service here was pretty fast (although note that there weren't many people because it was so late in the evening). All of their ingredients here were fresh and pretty good. Great hot pot spot, and I would definitely come back!

    Jonathan C.

Very clean mala hotpot with special sesame oil. The butter mala flavor is a must try. Very nice ambience and service!

    Alan S.

Above-average, ornately-decorated option for hotpot on the second floor of the Tangram mall. The tomato broth is one of the tastier vegetarian hotpot broths I've had, and even my omnivore dining mates seemed to prefer it over their options. The sauce and snack bar is not as expansive as some other spots, but has all the basics. For vegetarians, there's an ample selection of types of tofu, including my favorite these days xiang ling.

Starting off, the numbing szechuan chicken was my least favorite of the dishes - the pieces of chicken were really tiny and there were a lot of peppercorns. I wish they made the pieces of chicken slightly larger as it was irritating to slowly pick it out towards the end of finishing it. Now, what went well were the stone pot with the fish. Normally not a huge fan of fish, so if I can enjoy eating fish a place has done well in preparing it. The soup was really flavorful and everyone at my table enjoyed it. The sweet and sour pork was also nice. The breading was crispy and the sauce had a nice tangy flavor to it and the texture was interestingly satisfying. The grilled beef ribs and bao buns were one of my favorite. The beef rib was very tender and went well with the buns and condiments that were provided.

They have options for the flavor of the broth/grilled fish including mala spicy, spicy tofu (comes with soft tofu), garlic, tomato, and more. Their menu also includes appetizers and other entrees including crawfish and shrimp. The meat was tasteless, hard and overcooked. No fat ratio at all. The pig intestines were perfectly cooked. Love when it's crispy. We love finding a place that's been around that's actually a huge hit for us. We will be back. If you spend $120, they will gift you a huge carafe of passion fruit tea.

A perfect spot to grab both Cantonese and Sichuan food! The walnut shrimp is a must order…read more All the dishes that we ate were both visually exceptional and delicious! The walnut shrimp had jumbo shrimp and was perfectly sweet and crunchy. The fish fillet in chili oil had the perfect amount of spicy, which was so warming for the cold weather. The salmon and geoduck sashimi were really fresh. There are private rooms upstairs that have karaoke and mahjong. We were in the 888 room and it was super spacious. The service was great - the staff helps change plates frequently.

It's a 5 for me, I thought my meal was excellent, it's also a plus that they are open really late…read more The decor is more modern than I would expect but the food was exceptional. The food: Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetable- So I had this on two occasions, the first time it was mind-blowingly delicious, the second time while still good was a bit dry. Overall, a must order dish just for that chance for it to be amazing. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=y4Gd64K7mJgyhOG5LDugYA Fish Filet with pepper- This was incredibly complex and so flavorful. The fish had a wonderful silkiness and the flavor of the broth was outstanding. It kinda gave you like a warm chicken noodle broth vibe but it has a little bit of a kick. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=8fRdQqyoZboCP_r4euYHyA Mapo Tofu- This was one of the best versions of this dish I have had. It had the right texture of the tofu and the consistency of the sauce.
