I usually get my food to go but last night I went with neighbors and got a table. First of all, I don't have children never wanted children so when I go in to a restaurant I try to see where the screamers are and ask to be seated on the other side. FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN SHOULD ALL BE SEATED ON THE SAME SIDE. We get seated and I didn't notice Chucky over by the window. He starts to scream like the fat lady in an Opera. It was so horrible. My friends put pieces of napkin in their ears, I just plugged my ears with my fingers. Please, all restaurant owners, couldn't you just put families with kids all on one side? I don't blame the children, it's the parents that think their kids are so cute so free to express themselves that are to blame. Right now they are mini versions of YOU, and that is so sad. My burger was yummy btw, fish and chips were also awesome.

I usually order delivery but dined in fir father's day. Ribs are amazing especially paired with their tangy bbq sauce. Calamari is tender with crispy breading. Veggie sides are slightly undercooked which I prefer.onuon find are crispy n juicy. Tri tip is tender even if you order it well done. Service is smooth friendly and quick. Simple straight forward menu. Local gem.

Came here with a group of 8 including kids for Sunday lunch. Just note that they do charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more. Place was basically empty minus another occupied table. Our server was friendly and great. Parking is decent since it's located in a small plaza. I ordered the Baja fish tacos which came with 3 tacos, salsa and chips. The tacos were pretty good and you're given the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The price points are good given how big some of the portions were. I was surprised at how big the kids cheeseburgers and mac and cheese were. The kids definitely had leftovers for later. Great spot if you're in the San Pedro area. They also have happy hour specials and weekday specials (refer to my photos for details). The weekday specials are good for takeout and delivery too, which I don't see often at other restaurants.

Six of us are here and we were seated shortly after we arrived, but we did make a reservation prior to coming. Our server is ALEX. He is wonderful!! Very good! We ordered the onion rings for appetizers......DELICIOUS! tri-tip plate, fish plate, barbecue ribs plate also very, very delicious. Alex was an excellent servant. The ambience was really nice. You could hear music and the noise level was medium. I would highly recommend this restaurant thank you very much, Alex. we'll see you again.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch of Fish & Chips, price was reasonable, staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good, three pieces of fish, fries and slaw. Fish itself was perfectly cooked, batter coating was not too thick but could have used about 30 seconds more in the fryer to get it a little crispyer. Menu had a nice selection of items so most members of you group should be able to find something they want to eat. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Would stop in again when we are in the area.

The Shore Grill is a local restaurant just on the outskirts of Palos Verdes in a small strip mall at 25th and Western Ave. in San Pedro. Parking is good, which is important to me as I hate door dings on the car. The staff is welcoming and the ambiance is festive but not overly loud, even with bar service. The lighting is slightly on the dark side but enjoyable. The food is very good and their portions are large. I especially like the fish tacos, which are jam packed with fish, salsa and topped with a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were large enough for left overs as a take home lunch. So in conclusion, the food is very good, service is friendly and timely. The menu is varied ranging from a Caesar salad to a rib eye or ahi sandwich and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Been wanting to come to this place for a couple years now we finally bit the bullet and am I glad we did! Food is fresh chicken is freshly fried salad and greens were crisp and fresh. The waiter was kind enough to provide the salad and two bowls. The hamburger is a half pound is good beef on fresh Brioche bun . Then I got my tater tots which it hard to come by very good.. everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was on the ball and we enjoyed our evening out. We will be coming back.

My friends and I were in the neighborhood, and were looking for a place to have lunch. A member of our group suggested this place. Looking over the menu, we liked what we saw, and went with the suggestion. The place was busy, as it's a local favorite. There were 5 of us, with a 6th person arriving later. The host offered us a booth, which we politely declined, and, instead, waited for a section that would hold all 6 of us. After a few minutes, the host let us know our section was ready. He was nice enough to put together 3 tables end-to-end for us, complete with menus, and silverware. While a couple of us settled for ice water, one of my friends ordered an Old Fashioned, another an Iced Tea, and another ordered a beer. Our server(who was also our host) was quite nice, and attentive. He took all of our orders, and accommodated our requests for separate bills. I ordered the Shore Burger, with a side of BBQ Baked Beans. All of our orders arrived at the same time. While my beans were somewhat warm, my burger was lukewarm...but still juicy, and, delicious! They didn't splurge on the sauce, and, my burger didn't disintegrate while I was eating, which, while not that big a deal(the part about having your burger fall apart while you're eating), is a bit of an annoyance, and I was happy that my burger, aside from a few drips of burger juices, stayed intact. All in all, great service, great food. Definitely making this a go-to next time we're in town! My lone [minor] issue was the temperature of my burger. It could've been warmer, yet, it didn't taste like it had been sitting for an extended period of time, as it was, as I said, juicy, and, most importantly, delicious!

The space itself is nice. It used to be a Chicago ribs and it looks the same but more updated and modern. Food was mid...it's not terrible but it's not good. Reminded me of BWW or diner type of food. I was craving chicken strips so I tried them with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The strip themselves were decent but not what you would think of when you think of chicken strips. The breading was light which I liked and the meat was wide and thin. Mashed potatoes were super thick and gummy and the Mac and cheese was that plastic-ky cheese with no flavor. I would come back maybe for happy hour or for an appetizer. Not so much worth it for their 20+ dollar dinner plates imo.

This place was awesome! I ordered tri tip dinner to start things off as appetizer. It was tender and juicy! Such a Big portion! We ordered the Brussels sprouts and they were very flavorful and they have bacon! We also ordered the Mahi Mahi, salmon, Caesar salad,strawberry salad. I took my mom here and we both loved it! I had the Chicken Club sandwich with a side of broccoli and mom had the BBQ Combo - chicken and half rack of baby back ribs. I'm sorry to say I've only eaten here via Uber Eats. Their sliced steak and fried chicken salad are really wonderful. The dishes are delicious and plentiful. I would really like to stop by in person and have some of these dishes hot off the grill, but they are quite tasty even after delivery! read more

We found our new favorite restaurant in San Pedro! The variety and quality of the food is excellent! The staff is attentive and super-friendly! And most importantly they have a FULL BAR!!! I wonder if everybody knows about this??? They should consider installing a large neon sign reading "Cocktails" outside the space and see how fast business grows! Ordered "take out" ... got home and started to eat ... the FULL ORDER of ribs were dry ... not like those at Chicago Ribs. I threw out half of the slab AND at $27.95 for a full slab I felt like "I had been taken to the cleaners." The "World Famous Onion Rings" were barely battered and fell apart on the plate ... This place has so much hospitality, the hostess was ready to greet us as soon as we walked in, we sat down took our order down and done so with a smile on her face. I ordered a burger but i requested it to be lettuce wrapped, without hesitation she said no prob. Let me tell you guys, this burger was the best burger I have ever had: sirloin, flat meat, rib eye combination. I could not stop eating it, I don't even think I came up for air. I would have taken a picture of it but I devoured. When we come back, which we will .....I will definitely update this review. 100% recommend!!! read more

I really wanted to be a great experience but I was ignored most of the time even speaking Spanish to our waiter was a no go even though he clearly spoke better Spanish than English and he refused to speak to me in Spanish the food is ok but the service was just plain terrible. They came to ask us if we wanted another drink when we were done but everyone around us got a good service maybe they are regulars here not sure. I felt like I needed to be whiter than I'm already are to have better service. Not coming back and definitely not recommending this place. read more

Love love love the Fried chicken salad! Only minus is most of the time it's made with love and care but few times it hardly had any toppings. Other than that nice place and everyone is friendly. Will always come back! Other food items are delis it's too, shrimp tacos and steak and asparagus .. probably everything. lol read more

Great fish tacos at Shore Grill! Even better on Taco Tuesday for buy one get one free taco orders. Fish is deliciously seasoned and lightly battered and fried. Fresh pico with jalapeños add just the right amount of kick. I opted for the less spicy cilantro dressing but a sriracha based option was also available. Tacos come with a great side of chips and salsa as well. read more

Over Due. Not a Fan of the Fish n Chips. Too much batter and really no seasoning - flavorless. good amount of food, however the meal was not appealing and tasteless. The day we visited the restaurant was empty other than the staff. Nice interior and located in a small center with other small retail and restaurant. Located on the Shore side of San Pedro, CA. I have not had the interest of eating at Shore Grille since this visit. Server was okay- everything he says is great on the menu. read more

Decently varied menu. The food was pretty good, but the portion sizes were on the skimpy side. BBQ dinner for two w/ two deserts was around $80. For that kind of money I would be expecting a bit more. That said, I think its worth a try from a quality standpoint. read more

As I was driving by, I decided to try this place, and I'm glad I did. The food was excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked, lots of flavour. The roasted brussel sprouts were easily my favourite part of my experience here. I'd definitely recommend them. The staff was incredible. Super friendly and helpful to me. But more importantly, the staff seemed like they were happy working as a team. The restaurant itself was very clean and well laid out. I will surely be back. read more

Do you know what makes a real good burger? Consistency!! Food should be hot not lukewarm. The last time I had the same burger it was a do over too and was nice juicy and hot, but it was a do over. This time it bordered on cold again. The crisscross fries were swapped for tater tots. Tater tots are for breakfast not with a burger. I also bought an Asian chicken salad. It was fresh but the dressing didn't taste like a dressing it was thick with cornstarch, and not close to a true Asian dressing. I am disappointed especially bc even my grandkids didn't eat much of the food. Burgers are on the pricey side so I would like to enjoy it. Too bad not this time. Just returned from a week up in Tahoe. Hubby drives. I plan the stops. Was so excited to find a Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips in Reno. We are fish and chips aficionados. Had to stop. Even drove the long way so we could stop there. Why am I going on about Gordon Ramsay? This is a Shore Grill review. Well. After a few bites, hubby looks at me and says, "Shore Grill is better. " We've been having this conversation for a while. Go up to Ventura, get fish and chips at fancy restaurant in harbor. Shore Grill better. Go up coast to Monterey, Shore Grill better. Santa Barbara. Shore Grill better. Lake Arrowhead. Worst fish and chips. So. Yeah. Shore Grill. Hands down. I even tried to tell hubby maybe it's cause Ramsay's was different, its "classic British" style. He said, "No, part of batter was gummy. Batter has to be crispy. Fish has to be tender and juicy."Which we get consistently at Shore Grill. So if you like fish and chips, Shore Grill is the best! Their guacamole and salsa and chips are amazing too. Their shrimp tacos are perfect. I usually drown my tacos in salsa but not their shrimp tacos. They come packed with fried shrimp and flavor. No need to add salsa. Their buffalo cauliflower is sooooo good. And when I go with my girlfriend, we get the perfect girl lunch; Caesar salad and the bbq chicken flatbread. So proud our neighborhood restaurant kicked Gordon Ramsay's um, nether regions. read more

Went with friends to try out Shore Grille in San Pedro tonight. We had heard good things and wanted to see for ourselves how this new restaurant stacked up. When we arrived the restaurant was busy (good sign!) but we were seated quickly without a reservation. Even though it had only been open a couple of weeks and was crowded, the service was spot on. Attentive but not overbearing and all our requests were promptly met with a smile. At our table we had wings, edamame and buffalo cauliflower appetizers. Each was deliciously prepared, unique and flavorful. Not standard, bland bar fare like you find at so many affordable restaurants these days. We had fish tacos, a fried chicken salad and chicken & waffles as entrees. They were all large portions with great flavors again. The menu is very diverse with something for everyone from salads to fish to BBQ and burgers. Can't wait to go back and try more of it. read more

We live in the South Shores area and had never eaten at the Shore Grill. Our neighbors gave us a gift certificate for the holidays, so we decided to try it for dinner tonight. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the ambiance was. There were many guests, including a party and it was delightful. Our waiter, Carlos, had a wonderful personality and helped us through the menu, since this was our first time. The food was fresh, tangy and delicious. I like shore grill so much I say it would make it into my top 10 favorite restaurants. For all of those foodies out there I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service is good too I haven't had a bad experience with anyone yet. The ambiance is like any other restaurant it could be better but come on who's complaining about ambiance when the food is good. You won't even notice the ambiance. The chicken tenders are pretty good so are the tacos. If you were to go I would recommend to go on taco Tuesday because you have to buy one taco entree for 17.99 and get one free! Best fish tacos in town!!! They use top quality mahi for the grilled option and you get three very generous tacos AND homemade chips and salsa. If you go on Tuesdays you get two for one on their taco plates...there is also a fried fish option and a shrimp option. The service is efficient and friendly and the place can get pretty crowded! Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.

If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. Had a solid experience at Shore Grille in San Pedro on Sunday night, around 6:20pm. It's a great casual spot that checks a lot of boxes for comfort food, cold beer, and a laid-back vibe. Let's start with the food, it was really good across the board. We tried the grilled chicken club sandwich, the pork sandwich, and the breaded chicken plate (X2). The chicken plate, in particular, was huge and came with two sides and a piece of cornbread that had just the right balance of sweet and savory. Between the table, we sampled the sides, broccoli, baked beans, waffle fries, and mac n' cheese. They were all tasty, no bad choices here! Someone in the kitchen cares about getting the flavors right. They've also got a nice selection of draft beers, which is always a win in my book. Plenty of options for IPA lovers and casual drinkers alike, all served nice and cold. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a pint without feeling rushed. They even have a happy hour, see my pictures. Another big plus: TVs everywhere, so if you're into watching sports while you eat, you're in luck. We caught the Yankees beat the Dodgers (boooo!) during our visit. Despite the result, it was fun to have the game on in the background while we enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly but slow. One exciting addition is their new cocktail menu, which adds a fun twist to your dining experience. However, during my visit, the service was a bit slow despite the restaurant not being busy. The Shore Grille is hands down one of the best spots around! I came in not knowing what to expect, but their ribs completely blew me away. Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor -- they practically fall off the bone. The portions were generous, and the staff was super friendly and attentive, especially Carlos, what a great guy. If you're a rib lover, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for another rack soon! read more
