I usually get my food to go but last night I went with neighbors and got a table. First of all, I don't have children never wanted children so when I go in to a restaurant I try to see where the screamers are and ask to be seated on the other side. FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN SHOULD ALL BE SEATED ON THE SAME SIDE. We get seated and I didn't notice Chucky over by the window. He starts to scream like the fat lady in an Opera. It was so horrible. My friends put pieces of napkin in their ears, I just plugged my ears with my fingers. Please, all restaurant owners, couldn't you just put families with kids all on one side? I don't blame the children, it's the parents that think their kids are so cute so free to express themselves that are to blame. Right now they are mini versions of YOU, and that is so sad. My burger was yummy btw, fish and chips were also awesome.

I usually order delivery but dined in fir father's day. Ribs are amazing especially paired with their tangy bbq sauce. Calamari is tender with crispy breading. Veggie sides are slightly undercooked which I prefer.onuon find are crispy n juicy. Tri tip is tender even if you order it well done. Service is smooth friendly and quick. Simple straight forward menu. Local gem.

Came here with a group of 8 including kids for Sunday lunch. Just note that they do charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more. Place was basically empty minus another occupied table. Our server was friendly and great. Parking is decent since it's located in a small plaza. I ordered the Baja fish tacos which came with 3 tacos, salsa and chips. The tacos were pretty good and you're given the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The price points are good given how big some of the portions were. I was surprised at how big the kids cheeseburgers and mac and cheese were. The kids definitely had leftovers for later. Great spot if you're in the San Pedro area. They also have happy hour specials and weekday specials (refer to my photos for details). The weekday specials are good for takeout and delivery too, which I don't see often at other restaurants.

Six of us are here and we were seated shortly after we arrived, but we did make a reservation prior to coming. Our server is ALEX. He is wonderful!! Very good! We ordered the onion rings for appetizers......DELICIOUS! tri-tip plate, fish plate, barbecue ribs plate also very, very delicious. Alex was an excellent servant. The ambience was really nice. You could hear music and the noise level was medium. I would highly recommend this restaurant thank you very much, Alex. we'll see you again.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch of Fish & Chips, price was reasonable, staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good, three pieces of fish, fries and slaw. Fish itself was perfectly cooked, batter coating was not too thick but could have used about 30 seconds more in the fryer to get it a little crispyer. Menu had a nice selection of items so most members of you group should be able to find something they want to eat. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Would stop in again when we are in the area.

The Shore Grill is a local restaurant just on the outskirts of Palos Verdes in a small strip mall at 25th and Western Ave. in San Pedro. Parking is good, which is important to me as I hate door dings on the car. The staff is welcoming and the ambiance is festive but not overly loud, even with bar service. The lighting is slightly on the dark side but enjoyable. The food is very good and their portions are large. I especially like the fish tacos, which are jam packed with fish, salsa and topped with a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were large enough for left overs as a take home lunch. So in conclusion, the food is very good, service is friendly and timely. The menu is varied ranging from a Caesar salad to a rib eye or ahi sandwich and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Been wanting to come to this place for a couple years now we finally bit the bullet and am I glad we did! Food is fresh chicken is freshly fried salad and greens were crisp and fresh. The waiter was kind enough to provide the salad and two bowls. The hamburger is a half pound is good beef on fresh Brioche bun . Then I got my tater tots which it hard to come by very good.. everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was on the ball and we enjoyed our evening out. We will be coming back.

My friends and I were in the neighborhood, and were looking for a place to have lunch. A member of our group suggested this place. Looking over the menu, we liked what we saw, and went with the suggestion. The place was busy, as it's a local favorite. There were 5 of us, with a 6th person arriving later. The host offered us a booth, which we politely declined, and, instead, waited for a section that would hold all 6 of us. After a few minutes, the host let us know our section was ready. He was nice enough to put together 3 tables end-to-end for us, complete with menus, and silverware. While a couple of us settled for ice water, one of my friends ordered an Old Fashioned, another an Iced Tea, and another ordered a beer. Our server(who was also our host) was quite nice, and attentive. He took all of our orders, and accommodated our requests for separate bills. I ordered the Shore Burger, with a side of BBQ Baked Beans. All of our orders arrived at the same time. While my beans were somewhat warm, my burger was lukewarm...but still juicy, and, delicious! They didn't splurge on the sauce, and, my burger didn't disintegrate while I was eating, which, while not that big a deal(the part about having your burger fall apart while you're eating), is a bit of an annoyance, and I was happy that my burger, aside from a few drips of burger juices, stayed intact. All in all, great service, great food. Definitely making this a go-to next time we're in town! My lone [minor] issue was the temperature of my burger. It could've been warmer, yet, it didn't taste like it had been sitting for an extended period of time, as it was, as I said, juicy, and, most importantly, delicious!

The space itself is nice. It used to be a Chicago ribs and it looks the same but more updated and modern. Food was mid...it's not terrible but it's not good. Reminded me of BWW or diner type of food. I was craving chicken strips so I tried them with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The strip themselves were decent but not what you would think of when you think of chicken strips. The breading was light which I liked and the meat was wide and thin. Mashed potatoes were super thick and gummy and the Mac and cheese was that plastic-ky cheese with no flavor. I would come back maybe for happy hour or for an appetizer. Not so much worth it for their 20+ dollar dinner plates imo.

Just picked up dinner from the "new" restaurant. Really good food, local biz, was still waiting for its liquor license before this mess started. I can only assume opening a new restaurant is hard enough, but to have this happen while you are standing it up has to be crushing. They deliver too! Stopped by after a hike with my mom and we loved the food! The cornbread was the best cornbread I've ever eaten. I also got the bbq half chicken with baked beans and asparagus as my sides. I typically do not like meat on the bone but the chicken was not gamey at all, was super juicy, and had the perfect amount of bbq sauce on it. My mom ate fish n chips which she loved. The location is convenient too, within a shopping center with easy parking. The ambiance was casual and comfortable. Prices and portions were great. We can't wait to return. Our server was Carlos and he was great, quick to serve us and checked in frequently. read more

I went to Shore Grill as they sent me an email for two rib dinners for $25 bucks. It used to be to be the best deal in town, but they have been cutting back on the offer since the new management took over. It used to be a full dinner, two ribs, two sides, and corn bread with each rack of ribs. Last time I went it was one side with each order and one corn bread. Today I ordered in the restaurant to go. I asked for the two rib dinner special, the waitress says you get two sided total. I ordered two mashed potatoes. Order comes up I get the bill and they are charging now $29.95. When I asked about the higher charge the waitress says I don't know, let me ask my manager. Manager comes over and says it's $25 for just the ribs, everything else is a La carts and I ordered mashed potatoes and cornbread as extras. Look at the attached receipts. That's not even what their computer printout says. They only have one charge and it's $29.95. So the manager is now lying to my face, if it was an a la carts up charge it would be a separate charge like the broccoli I ordered! Being intentionally deceptive is no way to run a business. Zero stars if I can, hope they enjoy that extra $4.95 as it cost you my business. read more

I had the worse experience at the Shore Grille, located in San Pedro, Ca. There was no wait to be seated and waited over 45 minutes for 4 Chicken Salads! I will never go back to Shore Grille again. The waitress offered no apology for the inconvenience or wait. read more

Ordered delivery through their website and after an hour and a half called in to check on my order. Was told the driver had just left with it and was on the way. Another 40 minutes went by and didn't hear anything. Had to cancel my order. If your going to have online orders, you should probably pay attention to them. Love the food here but just lost my business from here on out. read more

We've been to Shore Grille twice in the last couple of months. Once for BOGO ribs on Mondays and another time for BOGO tacos on Tuesdays. Both times the service was friendly and outstanding and the food was delicious with generous portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant. And they have outdoor dining! read more

Ordered two dinners online to be picked up at 4:30 p.m. My wife ordered the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The veggies were okay but the salmon did not taste fresh. I ordered the fish and chips. The coleslaw was decent but the fries were cold and tasteless. The fried fish also lacked flavor. A disappointing meal to say the least! This is exactly why I prefer to prepare dinner at home! read more

Love this place! The food, the quality, the service--it's great all around. Can't wait to try more items on the menu. I usually get the tri tip and the shrimp and am always happy with it. ***BEST CALAMARI I'VE EVER HAD*** If I didn't live an hour away, I'd eat here all the time and try more of their menu. Staff was very friendly and gave us plates for sharing takeout, too. The calamari was thick and super tender, with crispy breading that wasn't soggy at all. The seared ahi sandwich ingredients went together well. It was tasty, but the ahi itself was a bit salty. The mac & cheese was pretty plain; I'd probably try a different side. The Brussels sprouts were good, plentiful, and not oily or too vinegary. read more

Tri tip not even medium rare how I ordered it. It looks like they just threw it on the grill to warm it up and put grill marks on it and over cooked and warm. Corn bread over baked. Ribs are just okay. The only good thing was the Mac & cheese and tater tots. read more

The best service. Their tomato soup was amazing!!!!! And their macaroni is the BEST macaroni i've ever had in my entire life. I was shocked. Been here several times as well as had food delivered. No complaints about the food, always good and consistent. This review is about service only. Juan was our server. It was not a busy night, but Juan seemed to be in a hurry. He did not properly greet us, asked us for our drink and food order right away. Never brought the water we asked for or checked on us after we received our meal. We had to flagged him down for the water and the corn bread that was supposed to come with our meals. Maybe he had something more on his mind. Just saying. read more

They are getting 5 stars for their salads alone. They are super fresh every time. Fresh salads in San Pedro are hard to find and this is my favorite place to get a salad!... I tried the pretzel and it is to die for!... It comes with a mild queso and a mustard dip... I look forward to trying all their food... They gave me a perfect fresh salad everyday for a week... Their take out operation very Covid-safe. Minimal contact, social distanced and with masks. Parking can be a little squishy in this lot, give yourself time. I had grilled mahi tacos and my girlfriend had fried- we both loved our tacos- what's not to love? Fresh, straight forward, and tasty. They have home made chips! read more

I've always walked by this place with my friends on our weekend/early morning walks....so i figured why not try it for take out! Placed a pick up order for dinner for my family: a regular burger, a bbq bacon burger, and fried shrimp tacos. From order to pick up took me 20 minutes (coming from work), but the online order said it would've taken 15minutes. The burgers came with one side, we picked tots and waffle fries. They were all packaged separately, which helped to keep the crisp in them. Hubby and daughter said they were good hefty burgers with a fat patty - let's just say it was all gone in 10 minutes. The tacos were REALLY good, like far better than I expected fried shrimp tacos to be. I really liked that spicy crema on it, too. Just enough heat to make my lips tingle. 3, 4-shrimp tacos came with a bag of homemade chips and salsa. I was VERY happy with my meal, as was my family. :) read more

Recently stopped by with my husband to grab a bite to eat. He ordered a burger and i wasn't too hungry so ordered steamed broccoli and baked beans. I was so disappointed to see the broccoli they served...there were black spots on the broccoli. When the server came by I told him the broccoli was bad, he smirked...not sure if it was because he hoped he would get away with it or was just amused I would speak up and tell him about the poor state of the broccoli. I told him to please take it off the bill, which he did. Imho, the server is the last line of defense regarding the quality of the food and he never should have served it...he could have told me the they were out of broccoli but necer should have served food that had gone bad. read more

I had the mahi-mahi fish tacos and my wife had the magi magi plate. Both were delicious. The food was spiced perfectly and her mahi plate was superb! We finished off with a delicious brownie ala mode. What a treat. I strongly recommend you give this place a try. We will be back! read more

Carlos is such a great addition to this establishment!!! Had great recommendations on the menu, attentive and entertaining. We asked him to add the beef sliders to the menu because the burger is too big for us little people. He is always helpful and keeps the drinks flowing. Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.

There were a few things that really stood out and made me very happy that I gave it a try. First, the red sauce in the salsa bar: very legit! Spicy, but very flavorful! I also tried the green chili/tomatillo sauce, which was also very good and good counter point to the unctuous marinated chicken. And they don't go cheap on the meat. Secondly, the corn tortillas were made in house and were hefty! Very tasty and held together where other tacos need two of the thin store-bought variety to have a hope to stand together. Very good. If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. The same was true for the rice: simply well made, not over done with a ton of ingredients. It was well made: the individual grains didn't stick together. And it was unctuous without being overbearing. If I had to guess, I would say that they used broth and chicken fat. Simply good, and a complement to rest of the meal. Now to my theory. It makes sense that the masa would be light on the salt because it is the same masa that they use for pupusas, and the filling for pupusas (I just like that word) is savory and well seasoned. My husband's order came out correctly, but mine was served with a sirloin steak instead of the marinated steak bites--and yes, there is a difference. The steak was rubbery and difficult to eat. It honestly felt more like a frozen TV dinner than a freshly prepared meal. Throughout the meal, our waitress never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or offer condiments or coffee creamer. I had to flag down the busboy for help. At this point, the busboys deserve recognition because they were far more attentive than our server. It also seems like the service is much better when the owners are there. I'm really disappointed with both the food and the service. To top it off, our bill came to $54, plus an additional card fee. It's disappointing because we know this restaurant is capable of providing a great experience--we've had one before. I hope management sees this review and takes it as an opportunity to improve because this restaurant has a lot of potential, but experiences like this make it difficult to want to return.

Had a solid experience at Shore Grille in San Pedro on Sunday night, around 6:20pm. It's a great casual spot that checks a lot of boxes for comfort food, cold beer, and a laid-back vibe. Let's start with the food, it was really good across the board. We tried the grilled chicken club sandwich, the pork sandwich, and the breaded chicken plate (X2). The chicken plate, in particular, was huge and came with two sides and a piece of cornbread that had just the right balance of sweet and savory. Between the table, we sampled the sides, broccoli, baked beans, waffle fries, and mac n' cheese. They were all tasty, no bad choices here! Someone in the kitchen cares about getting the flavors right. They've also got a nice selection of draft beers, which is always a win in my book. Plenty of options for IPA lovers and casual drinkers alike, all served nice and cold. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a pint without feeling rushed. They even have a happy hour, see my pictures. Another big plus: TVs everywhere, so if you're into watching sports while you eat, you're in luck. We caught the Yankees beat the Dodgers (boooo!) during our visit. Despite the result, it was fun to have the game on in the background while we enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly but slow. Shoutout to Alejandro, you're a nice guy, but we did feel the lag. Hopefully just an off day because everything else made up for it.
