I usually get my food to go but last night I went with neighbors and got a table. First of all, I don't have children never wanted children so when I go in to a restaurant I try to see where the screamers are and ask to be seated on the other side. FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN SHOULD ALL BE SEATED ON THE SAME SIDE. We get seated and I didn't notice Chucky over by the window. He starts to scream like the fat lady in an Opera. It was so horrible. My friends put pieces of napkin in their ears, I just plugged my ears with my fingers. Please, all restaurant owners, couldn't you just put families with kids all on one side? I don't blame the children, it's the parents that think their kids are so cute so free to express themselves that are to blame. Right now they are mini versions of YOU, and that is so sad. My burger was yummy btw, fish and chips were also awesome.

I usually order delivery but dined in fir father's day. Ribs are amazing especially paired with their tangy bbq sauce. Calamari is tender with crispy breading. Veggie sides are slightly undercooked which I prefer.onuon find are crispy n juicy. Tri tip is tender even if you order it well done. Service is smooth friendly and quick. Simple straight forward menu. Local gem.

Came here with a group of 8 including kids for Sunday lunch. Just note that they do charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more. Place was basically empty minus another occupied table. Our server was friendly and great. Parking is decent since it's located in a small plaza. I ordered the Baja fish tacos which came with 3 tacos, salsa and chips. The tacos were pretty good and you're given the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The price points are good given how big some of the portions were. I was surprised at how big the kids cheeseburgers and mac and cheese were. The kids definitely had leftovers for later. Great spot if you're in the San Pedro area. They also have happy hour specials and weekday specials (refer to my photos for details). The weekday specials are good for takeout and delivery too, which I don't see often at other restaurants.

Six of us are here and we were seated shortly after we arrived, but we did make a reservation prior to coming. Our server is ALEX. He is wonderful!! Very good! We ordered the onion rings for appetizers......DELICIOUS! tri-tip plate, fish plate, barbecue ribs plate also very, very delicious. Alex was an excellent servant. The ambience was really nice. You could hear music and the noise level was medium. I would highly recommend this restaurant thank you very much, Alex. we'll see you again.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch of Fish & Chips, price was reasonable, staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good, three pieces of fish, fries and slaw. Fish itself was perfectly cooked, batter coating was not too thick but could have used about 30 seconds more in the fryer to get it a little crispyer. Menu had a nice selection of items so most members of you group should be able to find something they want to eat. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Would stop in again when we are in the area.

The Shore Grill is a local restaurant just on the outskirts of Palos Verdes in a small strip mall at 25th and Western Ave. in San Pedro. Parking is good, which is important to me as I hate door dings on the car. The staff is welcoming and the ambiance is festive but not overly loud, even with bar service. The lighting is slightly on the dark side but enjoyable. The food is very good and their portions are large. I especially like the fish tacos, which are jam packed with fish, salsa and topped with a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were large enough for left overs as a take home lunch. So in conclusion, the food is very good, service is friendly and timely. The menu is varied ranging from a Caesar salad to a rib eye or ahi sandwich and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Been wanting to come to this place for a couple years now we finally bit the bullet and am I glad we did! Food is fresh chicken is freshly fried salad and greens were crisp and fresh. The waiter was kind enough to provide the salad and two bowls. The hamburger is a half pound is good beef on fresh Brioche bun . Then I got my tater tots which it hard to come by very good.. everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was on the ball and we enjoyed our evening out. We will be coming back.

My friends and I were in the neighborhood, and were looking for a place to have lunch. A member of our group suggested this place. Looking over the menu, we liked what we saw, and went with the suggestion. The place was busy, as it's a local favorite. There were 5 of us, with a 6th person arriving later. The host offered us a booth, which we politely declined, and, instead, waited for a section that would hold all 6 of us. After a few minutes, the host let us know our section was ready. He was nice enough to put together 3 tables end-to-end for us, complete with menus, and silverware. While a couple of us settled for ice water, one of my friends ordered an Old Fashioned, another an Iced Tea, and another ordered a beer. Our server(who was also our host) was quite nice, and attentive. He took all of our orders, and accommodated our requests for separate bills. I ordered the Shore Burger, with a side of BBQ Baked Beans. All of our orders arrived at the same time. While my beans were somewhat warm, my burger was lukewarm...but still juicy, and, delicious! They didn't splurge on the sauce, and, my burger didn't disintegrate while I was eating, which, while not that big a deal(the part about having your burger fall apart while you're eating), is a bit of an annoyance, and I was happy that my burger, aside from a few drips of burger juices, stayed intact. All in all, great service, great food. Definitely making this a go-to next time we're in town! My lone [minor] issue was the temperature of my burger. It could've been warmer, yet, it didn't taste like it had been sitting for an extended period of time, as it was, as I said, juicy, and, most importantly, delicious!

The space itself is nice. It used to be a Chicago ribs and it looks the same but more updated and modern. Food was mid...it's not terrible but it's not good. Reminded me of BWW or diner type of food. I was craving chicken strips so I tried them with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The strip themselves were decent but not what you would think of when you think of chicken strips. The breading was light which I liked and the meat was wide and thin. Mashed potatoes were super thick and gummy and the Mac and cheese was that plastic-ky cheese with no flavor. I would come back maybe for happy hour or for an appetizer. Not so much worth it for their 20+ dollar dinner plates imo.

We were handed a gift certificate and decided to order 1 night when I did not feel like cooking...imagine that! LOL We opted for the delivery option, even though we have been burned in the past by other places with cold food, poor packaging etc. Imagine our glee over receiving Hot food, properly put together, in a wonderful reusable brown bag with handles! Oh yeah, the food? Well it was scrumptious to perfection The burger was amazing and no soggy bun! The pulled pork was separated in the box from the grilled french roll, with extra containers of barbeque sauce, and the Onion Rings were awesome. worth traveling to the next city for!! Shore Grille... I can only imagine what the in-house dining would be like. Being on the more cautionary side of things today, I'll wait a bit. Delivery is still a very good option considering how delicious and fresh everything was and this was the way we went. We went with... The 10oz. Prime Flat Iron Steak, as stated on the menu "grilled to your liking" and yes we liked it very much. Just right. So savory. Served with grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Very traditional and a spot on example for a well balanced flavor experience. The Shore Grille Burger with a whopping half pound beef patty and of course all the add-on's and as juicy as the burger was, it wasn't greasy... and it was very juicy. Just the way I like it. We lightly sweetened the pot with the Roasted Brussels Sprouts (with applewood smoked bacon and sweet sriracha glaze), which was not too sweet or overpowering. You know how other places seem to think you gotta drowned the flavor of the brussels sprouts like syrup on pancakes, making so all you taste is is sugar town. Why even bother getting them? Not these. These were correctly seasoned and prepared. Great side if your watching those calories... uh well maybe just watching the calories. Almost felt like we were at the steak house but at home. I could get use to this. read more

Shocked at the good reviews. I'm giving it at least 2 stars because the establishment is nice and the servers and waiters were nice. Food took a long time to come out. Ordered the fish and chips. The waffle fries were stale. Tasted like they were forgotten under a heat lamp. The fish had no flavor. Even dipping them into the tartar sauce didn't save them. Just tasted like deep fried sticks of nothing. My wife's side of mac and cheese was very average. This place was disappointing because we brought family from out of town, and we could tell that they didn't like the food either. It was awkward, like we all knew the food was terrible but we had to act like we didn't notice. read more

I really like the food at shore Grill. I feel the prices are fair and the food is always fresh and good quality. I especially like that they are using cardboard "to go" containers instead of plastic, which is a big plus in my opinion. I highly recommend ShoreGrill. read more

Our first time at Shore Grille. Had lunch in the outside patio with heaters. I ordered Mahi Mahi Grilled and my wife The Mushroom Burger. We also split the Guacamole and chips. The food was terrific and the service top notch. It opened just before COVID and has made it thou the lockdown. Highly recommend. The owner Carlos introduced himself at our table to make sure we enjoyed our food and service. We will be back soon again read more

My husband and I went to try out Shore Grille for dinner tonight. I had read the reviews before deciding to go and the reviews sounded too good to be true so we had too try it out! WELL IT IS ALL TRUE!! As soon as we opened the door we were greeted by a very friendly and warm welcome! We received our water within seconds of them asking us. We ordered the Brussel Sprouts and Buffalo Cauliflower which were off the charts delicious, fresh and hot!!! A must must have!! I had the bbq chicken and my husband had the fish tacos! Everything came out quick, delicious, hot and did I say delicious?! The service was impeccable and the place was packed! We left at 6:30pm on a Monday night and there wasn't an empty seat in the place!! This is definitely our new go to place from now on!! read more

The food is very tasty, the place is very clean and the service is amazing. It was cold outside and Lilia offered a heater for my 5 month old baby, he was so happy and comfortable that he fell asleep. My husband love the shrimp tacos and I love the Asian chicken salad. Last night I had a hankerin' for some chicken, so I headed out to Smart and Final Iris on 25th Street. There, I usually can get the tastiest, juiciest rotisserie chicken for 8 bucks. But I thought I'd try something different: a restaurant meal. I had seen the Shore Grille right across the street from S&F so I went there instead. The server was there right away and I ordered the 1/2 barbecue chicken with the garlic mashed potatoes and the mac and cheese sides. The meal was served quickly and I dug in........ The chicken was coated with a tasty BBQ sauce, but it was dry. Almost as if it had been prepared for the lunch crowd and had been sitting around waiting for dinner time, but now it was nearly 7 PM. Or, maybe it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. WHO KNOWS? I ate the potatoes and the mac and cheese, both of which were quite good, but the chicken was lousy. I thought about complaining to the server about the dried out chicken, but I know that never works and I didn't have the time. I was hungry. After picking at it for a few minutes I called the server and told him to get my check and a box. I paid my check and put the box of left over chicken in my car and drove across the street and bought a whole rotisserie chicken and went home and ate my fill of what I've bought many times......a deliciously prepared whole juicy chicken. The chicken in the box is in my refrig. Maybe I'll feed it to my cat over the next few days, but this chicken is not for me. I was disappointed (obviously) in the Shore Grille and won't be back. read more

Shore Grill was opened by brothers Edgar and Carlos, long time employees of Chicago for Ribs. Food and service were excellent. The bbq recipe is a hand me down from Chicago for Ribs but there is so much more on the menu to choose from if bbq isn't your thing. We had the patty melt and the grilled mahi mahi, both tasty and well portioned! I am looking forward to trying something else on my next visit! read more

My wife and I decided to try out the new Shore Grill tonight. We were happy and very satisfied. The service was prompt and courteous. And the food was delicious. I had the shrimp tacos and my wife had the bbq chicken. For sides we had the buffalo cauliflower and roasted brussel sprouts. Both were hot, well prepared and very tasty. They currently don't have a liquor license (said a couple of months) but the they said we could bring a bottle of wine in to enjoy next time. read more

What a great find Shore Grille was! There were 4 in our group and we each tried something different. We had the giant pretzel appetizer, the tomato bisque soup, the clam chowder, the Cobb salad, fish & chips and a patty melt. All the dishes were so good , especially the soups, which were full of flavor. Attentive service, even though they were busy and the servers were hopping. This is a great place to come with friends, because they have something on the menu for everyone. I wished I lived closer so I could come here more often, but I will come back for sure anytime I'm in the LA area! read more

I am so happy to say the barbecue chicken meal is still perfect here!!! The chicken melts in your mouth! The sauce is the perfection! Looked good from far but far from good. Best part was the mashed potatoes. Was busy in there. Steak was under cooked. Asked for medium rare and got rare. No seasoning on the steak. Has to add salt and pepper myself. read more

Absolutely loved this place! We originally went to the Fish Market but it was way too crowded and found this place. The ribs were juicy and melted right off the bone, the shrimp was crispy and they were a decent size, sides were flavorful. The buffalo wings/cauliflower were really good. Service was great and they were very attentive. Had outdoor seating that was spaced out nicely during these times. read more

I highly recommend trying the fried fish tacos, based on the yelp reviews my husband and I decided to share plates, he ordered the patty melt. Both plates were so delicious and fulfilling, the quality and service was perfect after a great hike near by. Love the staff here, especially Luis. He's the most friendly face you'll see as soon as you walk through the door. The food is great. My fav is the grilled salmon. No proof of vaccination required. They don't discriminate and that just makes me want to support them even more. (Note: I am fully vaccinated.) read more

I don't give out very many 5-star reviews but I love this place. Very friendly and attentive staff. Every item on the menu was freshly made and top notch. I had the baby back ribs and tri tip bbq combo plate which came with corn break (to die for); my mother-in-law and daughter both had the fish tacos which they loved. I live in NV but can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. read more

Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.

Secondly, the corn tortillas were made in house and were hefty! Very tasty and held together where other tacos need two of the thin store-bought variety to have a hope to stand together. Very good. If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. The same was true for the rice: simply well made, not over done with a ton of ingredients. It was well made: the individual grains didn't stick together. And it was unctuous without being overbearing. If I had to guess, I would say that they used broth and chicken fat. Simply good, and a complement to rest of the meal. Now to my theory. It makes sense that the masa would be light on the salt because it is the same masa that they use for pupusas, and the filling for pupusas (I just like that word) is savory and well seasoned. Throughout the meal, our waitress never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or offer condiments or coffee creamer. I had to flag down the busboy for help. At this point, the busboys deserve recognition because they were far more attentive than our server. It also seems like the service is much better when the owners are there. I'm really disappointed with both the food and the service. To top it off, our bill came to $54, plus an additional card fee. It's disappointing because we know this restaurant is capable of providing a great experience--we've had one before. Had a solid experience at Shore Grille in San Pedro on Sunday night, around 6:20pm. It's a great casual spot that checks a lot of boxes for comfort food, cold beer, and a laid-back vibe. Let's start with the food, it was really good across the board. We tried the grilled chicken club sandwich, the pork sandwich, and the breaded chicken plate (X2). The chicken plate, in particular, was huge and came with two sides and a piece of cornbread that had just the right balance of sweet and savory. Between the table, we sampled the sides, broccoli, baked beans, waffle fries, and mac n' cheese. They were all tasty, no bad choices here! Someone in the kitchen cares about getting the flavors right. They've also got a nice selection of draft beers, which is always a win in my book. Plenty of options for IPA lovers and casual drinkers alike, all served nice and cold. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a pint without feeling rushed. They even have a happy hour, see my pictures. Another big plus: TVs everywhere, so if you're into watching sports while you eat, you're in luck. We caught the Yankees beat the Dodgers (boooo!) during our visit. Despite the result, it was fun to have the game on in the background while we enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly but slow.
