I usually get my food to go but last night I went with neighbors and got a table. First of all, I don't have children never wanted children so when I go in to a restaurant I try to see where the screamers are and ask to be seated on the other side. FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN SHOULD ALL BE SEATED ON THE SAME SIDE. We get seated and I didn't notice Chucky over by the window. He starts to scream like the fat lady in an Opera. It was so horrible. My friends put pieces of napkin in their ears, I just plugged my ears with my fingers. Please, all restaurant owners, couldn't you just put families with kids all on one side? I don't blame the children, it's the parents that think their kids are so cute so free to express themselves that are to blame. Right now they are mini versions of YOU, and that is so sad. My burger was yummy btw, fish and chips were also awesome.

I usually order delivery but dined in fir father's day. Ribs are amazing especially paired with their tangy bbq sauce. Calamari is tender with crispy breading. Veggie sides are slightly undercooked which I prefer.onuon find are crispy n juicy. Tri tip is tender even if you order it well done. Service is smooth friendly and quick. Simple straight forward menu. Local gem.

Light beer should be a crispy 38°F or less. This thang was sweatin

Came here with a group of 8 including kids for Sunday lunch. Just note that they do charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more. Place was basically empty minus another occupied table. Our server was friendly and great. Parking is decent since it's located in a small plaza. I ordered the Baja fish tacos which came with 3 tacos, salsa and chips. The tacos were pretty good and you're given the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The price points are good given how big some of the portions were. I was surprised at how big the kids cheeseburgers and mac and cheese were. The kids definitely had leftovers for later. Great spot if you're in the San Pedro area. They also have happy hour specials and weekday specials (refer to my photos for details). The weekday specials are good for takeout and delivery too, which I don't see often at other restaurants.

Six of us are here and we were seated shortly after we arrived, but we did make a reservation prior to coming. Our server is ALEX. He is wonderful!! Very good! We ordered the onion rings for appetizers......DELICIOUS! tri-tip plate, fish plate, barbecue ribs plate also very, very delicious. Alex was an excellent servant. The ambience was really nice. You could hear music and the noise level was medium. I would highly recommend this restaurant thank you very much, Alex. we'll see you again.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch of Fish & Chips, price was reasonable, staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good, three pieces of fish, fries and slaw. Fish itself was perfectly cooked, batter coating was not too thick but could have used about 30 seconds more in the fryer to get it a little crispyer. Menu had a nice selection of items so most members of you group should be able to find something they want to eat. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Would stop in again when we are in the area.

The Shore Grill is a local restaurant just on the outskirts of Palos Verdes in a small strip mall at 25th and Western Ave. in San Pedro. Parking is good, which is important to me as I hate door dings on the car. The staff is welcoming and the ambiance is festive but not overly loud, even with bar service. The lighting is slightly on the dark side but enjoyable. The food is very good and their portions are large. I especially like the fish tacos, which are jam packed with fish, salsa and topped with a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were large enough for left overs as a take home lunch. So in conclusion, the food is very good, service is friendly and timely. The menu is varied ranging from a Caesar salad to a rib eye or ahi sandwich and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Been wanting to come to this place for a couple years now we finally bit the bullet and am I glad we did! Food is fresh chicken is freshly fried salad and greens were crisp and fresh. The waiter was kind enough to provide the salad and two bowls. The hamburger is a half pound is good beef on fresh Brioche bun . Then I got my tater tots which it hard to come by very good.. everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was on the ball and we enjoyed our evening out. We will be coming back.

My friends and I were in the neighborhood, and were looking for a place to have lunch. A member of our group suggested this place. Looking over the menu, we liked what we saw, and went with the suggestion. The place was busy, as it's a local favorite. There were 5 of us, with a 6th person arriving later. The host offered us a booth, which we politely declined, and, instead, waited for a section that would hold all 6 of us. After a few minutes, the host let us know our section was ready. He was nice enough to put together 3 tables end-to-end for us, complete with menus, and silverware. While a couple of us settled for ice water, one of my friends ordered an Old Fashioned, another an Iced Tea, and another ordered a beer. Our server(who was also our host) was quite nice, and attentive. He took all of our orders, and accommodated our requests for separate bills. I ordered the Shore Burger, with a side of BBQ Baked Beans. All of our orders arrived at the same time. While my beans were somewhat warm, my burger was lukewarm...but still juicy, and, delicious! They didn't splurge on the sauce, and, my burger didn't disintegrate while I was eating, which, while not that big a deal(the part about having your burger fall apart while you're eating), is a bit of an annoyance, and I was happy that my burger, aside from a few drips of burger juices, stayed intact. All in all, great service, great food. Definitely making this a go-to next time we're in town! My lone [minor] issue was the temperature of my burger. It could've been warmer, yet, it didn't taste like it had been sitting for an extended period of time, as it was, as I said, juicy, and, most importantly, delicious!

The space itself is nice. It used to be a Chicago ribs and it looks the same but more updated and modern. Food was mid...it's not terrible but it's not good. Reminded me of BWW or diner type of food. I was craving chicken strips so I tried them with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The strip themselves were decent but not what you would think of when you think of chicken strips. The breading was light which I liked and the meat was wide and thin. Mashed potatoes were super thick and gummy and the Mac and cheese was that plastic-ky cheese with no flavor. I would come back maybe for happy hour or for an appetizer. Not so much worth it for their 20+ dollar dinner plates imo.

Husband and I came here and were very satisfied. There food was the highlight of our trip which was in Long Beach and it certainly was unexpected to have such a good experience. The waiter was friendly and personable. The menu is large enough to cater anyone. We had onion rings for appetizer and they were made to perfection. The chicken was lightly breaded but seasoned properly. The chicken was comparable to an authentic southern soul food chicken. Everything seemed home made. The mashed potatoes, corn bread, waffles, probably even the butter. Everything was delicious. I will be recommending this to everyone who comes through. This place should have a line outside the door every night. I thank them again for such a good place to eat. In this economy many restaurants try to cheapen their food and they seemed to be consistently providing quality. read more

We arrived about 7PM the restaurant was completely full. We asked for a booth for a table for two. We started with some Diet Coke & Blue Moon Beer. Our appetizers arrived quickly but very hot . The fried calamari was fresh and the cocktail sauce perfect along w/it. The chicken wings had a nice spicy flavor served along w/blue cheese and celery. We both had the rib eye steak and mashed potatoes & asparagus., mine was Med rare w/a blue cheese crumble and my friends was Med well w/grilled mushrooms. They both were served w/a side of homemade mashed potatoes and asparagus & a homemade bbq sauce. We both shared the grilled Brussel sprouts pan grilled in a balsamic glaze. Everything was fresh and so amazing. We finished off w/a apple tart a la mode. Our server Carlos was very attentive as was our busboy. We wanted for not. A truly amazing experience ! I just had the most delicious seared ahi tuna salad at this restaurant. I finished everything on the plate! To top off the meal, the server handed us a warm towelette to wipe our hands. The BBQ pork ribs are wonderful and my husband definitely enjoyed the mango wheat beer. This place is surely a gem in San Pedro!! read more

Great find. First visit but now a new long time customer. Service and food is excellent. I asked for a recommendation from our server Carlos and I ordered the Mahi-mahi plate. All I can say is wow .....a great recommendation it's truly a five star meal. My wife ordered the fish tacos and also requested the Mahi-mahi and was excellent as well. Took my mom and my Mom's friend to Shore Grille last night! What a great experience! Walked in the door felt very welcomed! The menu great variety, decisions decisions! I ordered the Tri tip roast, so much flavor, great portion! My mom ordered the chicken, she said the chicken was moist very good. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Came on a Saturday at around 5ish and were seated right away. The food was tasttyyy. My boyfriend and I shared the BBQ combo (pick 2 bbq entrees served with cornbread and 2 sides of your choice). We order the bby back ribs and grilled bbq shrimp with baked beans and mash potatoes 10/10 recommend AND the shrimp tacos (fresh, shrimp fried to perfection, flavorful). The food and service was so good we ordered desert, the rockslide brownie. OhMyGoodness. Amazing. Had a great first time experience and hoping we get the same (not sure if it gets better than this) experience. Compliments to the staff and chef(s). read more

Did takeout for our first experience with them. Thoughtfully packaged: pulled pork was sent separate from the bread for the pulled pork sandwich. So we didn't get a soggy mess. BBQ chicken was good. Great cornbread. We definitely are fans! read more

I would of probably given it five starsIf it was inside. It's a little strange eating on the side walk or the side of the building, not the same as dinning inside. Finally, I had a chance to try it today and it was the best rib that I ever had! You can't really taste the meat because of the heavy sauce for many other BBQ places, but Shore Grilles uses light sauce and you can taste the meat and the charcoal, and of course, they have extra sauce on the side. I am super excited that Shore Grille is in my neighborhood. read more

We got the Chinese chicken salad and Caesar salad. So fresh and delicious! The lettuce was super crunchy and fresh the chicken very juicy. The staff is always so nice and welcoming!! Sunday we took our out of town guests there for dinner but was disappointed in the baby back ribs. The barbque sauce seemed to be watered down and it didn't even cover the ribs, making the ribs a little tasteless. The cornbread pieces were smaller and they no longer brought out warm hand wipes to clean with. My husband and I were a little embarrassed after talking up the Shore Grill baby back ribs. read more

The Old Chicago Ribs is now the Shore Grill. Same manager same wait staff the menus pretty much the same they added a few things the food is good the prices are reasonable and the wait staff is excellent. I love supporting local San Pedro businesses. They have plenty of TVs on the wall it looks like the updated it a little bit but Chicago Ribs was already in good shape. They still have the TVs in the bar to watch your favorite sporting events. There's plenty of Booth seating and table seating. They can accommodate larger groups as well. There is parking in front of and behind. So there is using ample parking in even though it can't get crowded you can always find a spot read more

The Shore Grill was great! I had the buffalo cauliflower and onion rings for an appetizer. Delicious! Make sure you have someone to share it with because it's a lot. There were 6 of us sharing. 2 of us ordered the fish tacos, I ordered the shrimp tacos and 2 of us ordered patty melts. One in our party ordered soup due to a dental procedure. We shared food and everything was good. For dessert, we had apple tart a La mode, a pizza okie and a brownie a la mode. It was a party in your mouth! We will be back! read more

Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.

I also tried the green chili/tomatillo sauce, which was also very good and good counter point to the unctuous marinated chicken. And they don't go cheap on the meat. Secondly, the corn tortillas were made in house and were hefty! Very tasty and held together where other tacos need two of the thin store-bought variety to have a hope to stand together. Very good. If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. The same was true for the rice: simply well made, not over done with a ton of ingredients. It was well made: the individual grains didn't stick together. And it was unctuous without being overbearing. If I had to guess, I would say that they used broth and chicken fat. Simply good, and a complement to rest of the meal. Now to my theory. It makes sense that the masa would be light on the salt because it is the same masa that they use for pupusas, and the filling for pupusas (I just like that word) is savory and well seasoned. Throughout the meal, our waitress never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or offer condiments or coffee creamer. I had to flag down the busboy for help. At this point, the busboys deserve recognition because they were far more attentive than our server. It also seems like the service is much better when the owners are there. I'm really disappointed with both the food and the service. To top it off, our bill came to $54, plus an additional card fee. It's disappointing because we know this restaurant is capable of providing a great experience--we've had one before. I hope management sees this review and takes it as an opportunity to improve because this restaurant has a lot of potential, but experiences like this make it difficult to want to return.

Had a solid experience at Shore Grille in San Pedro on Sunday night, around 6:20pm. It's a great casual spot that checks a lot of boxes for comfort food, cold beer, and a laid-back vibe. Let's start with the food, it was really good across the board. We tried the grilled chicken club sandwich, the pork sandwich, and the breaded chicken plate (X2). The chicken plate, in particular, was huge and came with two sides and a piece of cornbread that had just the right balance of sweet and savory. Between the table, we sampled the sides, broccoli, baked beans, waffle fries, and mac n' cheese. They were all tasty, no bad choices here! Someone in the kitchen cares about getting the flavors right. They've also got a nice selection of draft beers, which is always a win in my book. Plenty of options for IPA lovers and casual drinkers alike, all served nice and cold. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a pint without feeling rushed. They even have a happy hour, see my pictures. Another big plus: TVs everywhere, so if you're into watching sports while you eat, you're in luck. We caught the Yankees beat the Dodgers (boooo!) during our visit. Despite the result, it was fun to have the game on in the background while we enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly but slow.
