I usually get my food to go but last night I went with neighbors and got a table. First of all, I don't have children never wanted children so when I go in to a restaurant I try to see where the screamers are and ask to be seated on the other side. FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN SHOULD ALL BE SEATED ON THE SAME SIDE. We get seated and I didn't notice Chucky over by the window. He starts to scream like the fat lady in an Opera. It was so horrible. My friends put pieces of napkin in their ears, I just plugged my ears with my fingers. Please, all restaurant owners, couldn't you just put families with kids all on one side? I don't blame the children, it's the parents that think their kids are so cute so free to express themselves that are to blame. Right now they are mini versions of YOU, and that is so sad. My burger was yummy btw, fish and chips were also awesome.

I usually order delivery but dined in fir father's day. Ribs are amazing especially paired with their tangy bbq sauce. Calamari is tender with crispy breading. Veggie sides are slightly undercooked which I prefer.onuon find are crispy n juicy. Tri tip is tender even if you order it well done. Service is smooth friendly and quick. Simple straight forward menu. Local gem.

Light beer should be a crispy 38°F or less. This thang was sweatin

Came here with a group of 8 including kids for Sunday lunch. Just note that they do charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more. Place was basically empty minus another occupied table. Our server was friendly and great. Parking is decent since it's located in a small plaza. I ordered the Baja fish tacos which came with 3 tacos, salsa and chips. The tacos were pretty good and you're given the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The price points are good given how big some of the portions were. I was surprised at how big the kids cheeseburgers and mac and cheese were. The kids definitely had leftovers for later. Great spot if you're in the San Pedro area. They also have happy hour specials and weekday specials (refer to my photos for details). The weekday specials are good for takeout and delivery too, which I don't see often at other restaurants.

Six of us are here and we were seated shortly after we arrived, but we did make a reservation prior to coming. Our server is ALEX. He is wonderful!! Very good! We ordered the onion rings for appetizers......DELICIOUS! tri-tip plate, fish plate, barbecue ribs plate also very, very delicious. Alex was an excellent servant. The ambience was really nice. You could hear music and the noise level was medium. I would highly recommend this restaurant thank you very much, Alex. we'll see you again.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch of Fish & Chips, price was reasonable, staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good, three pieces of fish, fries and slaw. Fish itself was perfectly cooked, batter coating was not too thick but could have used about 30 seconds more in the fryer to get it a little crispyer. Menu had a nice selection of items so most members of you group should be able to find something they want to eat. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Would stop in again when we are in the area.

The Shore Grill is a local restaurant just on the outskirts of Palos Verdes in a small strip mall at 25th and Western Ave. in San Pedro. Parking is good, which is important to me as I hate door dings on the car. The staff is welcoming and the ambiance is festive but not overly loud, even with bar service. The lighting is slightly on the dark side but enjoyable. The food is very good and their portions are large. I especially like the fish tacos, which are jam packed with fish, salsa and topped with a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were large enough for left overs as a take home lunch. So in conclusion, the food is very good, service is friendly and timely. The menu is varied ranging from a Caesar salad to a rib eye or ahi sandwich and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Been wanting to come to this place for a couple years now we finally bit the bullet and am I glad we did! Food is fresh chicken is freshly fried salad and greens were crisp and fresh. The waiter was kind enough to provide the salad and two bowls. The hamburger is a half pound is good beef on fresh Brioche bun . Then I got my tater tots which it hard to come by very good.. everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was on the ball and we enjoyed our evening out. We will be coming back.

My friends and I were in the neighborhood, and were looking for a place to have lunch. A member of our group suggested this place. Looking over the menu, we liked what we saw, and went with the suggestion. The place was busy, as it's a local favorite. There were 5 of us, with a 6th person arriving later. The host offered us a booth, which we politely declined, and, instead, waited for a section that would hold all 6 of us. After a few minutes, the host let us know our section was ready. He was nice enough to put together 3 tables end-to-end for us, complete with menus, and silverware. While a couple of us settled for ice water, one of my friends ordered an Old Fashioned, another an Iced Tea, and another ordered a beer. Our server(who was also our host) was quite nice, and attentive. He took all of our orders, and accommodated our requests for separate bills. I ordered the Shore Burger, with a side of BBQ Baked Beans. All of our orders arrived at the same time. While my beans were somewhat warm, my burger was lukewarm...but still juicy, and, delicious! They didn't splurge on the sauce, and, my burger didn't disintegrate while I was eating, which, while not that big a deal(the part about having your burger fall apart while you're eating), is a bit of an annoyance, and I was happy that my burger, aside from a few drips of burger juices, stayed intact. All in all, great service, great food. Definitely making this a go-to next time we're in town! My lone [minor] issue was the temperature of my burger. It could've been warmer, yet, it didn't taste like it had been sitting for an extended period of time, as it was, as I said, juicy, and, most importantly, delicious!

The space itself is nice. It used to be a Chicago ribs and it looks the same but more updated and modern. Food was mid...it's not terrible but it's not good. Reminded me of BWW or diner type of food. I was craving chicken strips so I tried them with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The strip themselves were decent but not what you would think of when you think of chicken strips. The breading was light which I liked and the meat was wide and thin. Mashed potatoes were super thick and gummy and the Mac and cheese was that plastic-ky cheese with no flavor. I would come back maybe for happy hour or for an appetizer. Not so much worth it for their 20+ dollar dinner plates imo.

We have enjoyed several meals there as well as done take out. I can't say enough wonderful things about the restaurant and staff. What a treasure in the neighborhood. Food looks good in pictures. Ordered a steak and ribs. The steak was chewy and really cold, sides were also cold. The ribs were decent, came with two sides. I chose the baked beans and mashed potatoes. The beans tasted like they were straight out of a can and I kept finding small rocks in my potatoes. Definitely regret choosing this place for dinner. I DONT RECOMEND to anyone. read more

We have ordered take out twice and each time it was delicious. Ordered the fish taco meal. One of the best fish tacos I have ever had. Had the cod fried in Panko with corn tortillas. Fresh and absolutely delicious. The homemade tortilla chips were terrific. Not oily at all. Ordered the waffle fries and usually fries to go get soggy- not these. They were as fresh as if we had eaten there. Take out order was ready on time both times we ordered. They also offer on site outdoor dining. Not typically a meat-eating family but we tried it and it certainly didn't disappoint. Requested all food w/o sauces which gifted us to really taste the quality of the food: shrimp on skewer, baby back ribs, tri tip roast, and sides of steamed veggies. Wow what a great experience! We came here after our hike in PV. I would highly recommend. Staff was super friendly, clean and food was a 10/10. We ordered the shrimp tacos (I asked for the grilled) and my fiancé ordered the bbq chicken salad. They even offered us a hot wipe after our meal. That was a very nice touch. This was absolutely amazing! They transformed the dark Chicago Ribs into a sophisticated beachy vibe with an improved menu. I had the coconut shrimp without coleslaw and they offered a substitute so I got cheesy bread. All of the food we had was so delicious. This was a few weeks ago but I still remember how crispy the shrimp was and how cheesy the bread was, and the nacho dip we got! They kept some early bird menu specials from Chicago which was a nice touch in remembrance. read more

We waited a long time to get our food and then when we got it it was dried out like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The onion rings were stale and burgers were dry. We had a delicious family dinner at Shore Grille tonight. We started with the chips and guacamole and the Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly and topped with bacon while the chips and guacamole was a very generous serving for the 4 of us. The table ordered the fish tacos, lasagna skillet, Caesar salad and Best Grilled Cheese for our little one. Everyone loved what they ordered. We topped it off with the chocolate chip skillet for dessert...it was AMAZING! Highly recommend the new Shore Grille. Just what the neighborhood needs. read more

I finally got to eat their tasty food. I had the ribeye medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Super juicy and tender along with a side off grilled asparagus. My wife had the coconut shrimp and she is really particular about her shrimp. She loved it! She also enjoyed the crispy waffle fries. We ordered a side of Brussels sprouts that were also delicious. The staff is really friendly and the service was great. I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to try the other items on the menu. I know that they are working on their beer and wine license. Just to be fair, I don't rate restaurants on their Covid 19 protocols. For me, it's food and service only. With that said let's get started. The service was fine attentive and timely. However, the food was not good. This place replaced the old Chicago Ribs but kept the same BBQ recipes WHY??? If Chicago Ribs went out of business why would u keep the same recipes. The food was boring and flat. The chicken was old and the sides were tasteless. Cornbread was good but man cannot live on bread alone. ;-(. Y'all had a real opportunity to bring good BBQ and sides to Pedro. You failed on every turn. read more

We had a early dinner the another day. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Club sandwich with fries, and wife ordered a Cobb salad.THE BOMB! The club sandwich! So tastie! The Cobb salad ( with fresh greens) was great! The bleu cheese dressing was excellent. I gotta try the bleu cheese with some hot wings. So all you regular customer. So.. great food. Every time we eat here it's really of good quality. I've never had a meal here that has disappointed. If you're a potato person the tots are delicious. I was looking for a great spot to eat in San Pedro with quality food and decent service on yelp and this place was highly recommended. The lay out is very chill with a casual vibe and the customer service is 5 star worthy. I really suggest the tri-tip roast with asparagus and mash potatoes. It's to die for. The beer is also the best, try the blue moon with oranges. If you have room for dessert try the apple tart a la mode. It hit the spot. Definitely coming back. read more

Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.

Secondly, the corn tortillas were made in house and were hefty! Very tasty and held together where other tacos need two of the thin store-bought variety to have a hope to stand together. Very good. If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. The same was true for the rice: simply well made, not over done with a ton of ingredients. It was well made: the individual grains didn't stick together. And it was unctuous without being overbearing. If I had to guess, I would say that they used broth and chicken fat. Simply good, and a complement to rest of the meal. Now to my theory. It makes sense that the masa would be light on the salt because it is the same masa that they use for pupusas, and the filling for pupusas (I just like that word) is savory and well seasoned. Throughout the meal, our waitress never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or offer condiments or coffee creamer. I had to flag down the busboy for help. At this point, the busboys deserve recognition because they were far more attentive than our server. It also seems like the service is much better when the owners are there. I'm really disappointed with both the food and the service. To top it off, our bill came to $54, plus an additional card fee. It's disappointing because we know this restaurant is capable of providing a great experience--we've had one before. Had a solid experience at Shore Grille in San Pedro on Sunday night, around 6:20pm. It's a great casual spot that checks a lot of boxes for comfort food, cold beer, and a laid-back vibe. Let's start with the food, it was really good across the board. We tried the grilled chicken club sandwich, the pork sandwich, and the breaded chicken plate (X2). The chicken plate, in particular, was huge and came with two sides and a piece of cornbread that had just the right balance of sweet and savory. Between the table, we sampled the sides, broccoli, baked beans, waffle fries, and mac n' cheese. They were all tasty, no bad choices here! Someone in the kitchen cares about getting the flavors right. They've also got a nice selection of draft beers, which is always a win in my book. Plenty of options for IPA lovers and casual drinkers alike, all served nice and cold. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a pint without feeling rushed. They even have a happy hour, see my pictures. Another big plus: TVs everywhere, so if you're into watching sports while you eat, you're in luck. We caught the Yankees beat the Dodgers (boooo!) during our visit. Despite the result, it was fun to have the game on in the background while we enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly but slow.
