I usually get my food to go but last night I went with neighbors and got a table. First of all, I don't have children never wanted children so when I go in to a restaurant I try to see where the screamers are and ask to be seated on the other side. FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN SHOULD ALL BE SEATED ON THE SAME SIDE. We get seated and I didn't notice Chucky over by the window. He starts to scream like the fat lady in an Opera. It was so horrible. My friends put pieces of napkin in their ears, I just plugged my ears with my fingers. Please, all restaurant owners, couldn't you just put families with kids all on one side? I don't blame the children, it's the parents that think their kids are so cute so free to express themselves that are to blame. Right now they are mini versions of YOU, and that is so sad. My burger was yummy btw, fish and chips were also awesome.

I usually order delivery but dined in fir father's day. Ribs are amazing especially paired with their tangy bbq sauce. Calamari is tender with crispy breading. Veggie sides are slightly undercooked which I prefer.onuon find are crispy n juicy. Tri tip is tender even if you order it well done. Service is smooth friendly and quick. Simple straight forward menu. Local gem.

Came here with a group of 8 including kids for Sunday lunch. Just note that they do charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more. Place was basically empty minus another occupied table. Our server was friendly and great. Parking is decent since it's located in a small plaza. I ordered the Baja fish tacos which came with 3 tacos, salsa and chips. The tacos were pretty good and you're given the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The price points are good given how big some of the portions were. I was surprised at how big the kids cheeseburgers and mac and cheese were. The kids definitely had leftovers for later. Great spot if you're in the San Pedro area. They also have happy hour specials and weekday specials (refer to my photos for details). The weekday specials are good for takeout and delivery too, which I don't see often at other restaurants.

Six of us are here and we were seated shortly after we arrived, but we did make a reservation prior to coming. Our server is ALEX. He is wonderful!! Very good! We ordered the onion rings for appetizers......DELICIOUS! tri-tip plate, fish plate, barbecue ribs plate also very, very delicious. Alex was an excellent servant. The ambience was really nice. You could hear music and the noise level was medium. I would highly recommend this restaurant thank you very much, Alex. we'll see you again.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch of Fish & Chips, price was reasonable, staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good, three pieces of fish, fries and slaw. Fish itself was perfectly cooked, batter coating was not too thick but could have used about 30 seconds more in the fryer to get it a little crispyer. Menu had a nice selection of items so most members of you group should be able to find something they want to eat. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Would stop in again when we are in the area.

The Shore Grill is a local restaurant just on the outskirts of Palos Verdes in a small strip mall at 25th and Western Ave. in San Pedro. Parking is good, which is important to me as I hate door dings on the car. The staff is welcoming and the ambiance is festive but not overly loud, even with bar service. The lighting is slightly on the dark side but enjoyable. The food is very good and their portions are large. I especially like the fish tacos, which are jam packed with fish, salsa and topped with a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were large enough for left overs as a take home lunch. So in conclusion, the food is very good, service is friendly and timely. The menu is varied ranging from a Caesar salad to a rib eye or ahi sandwich and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try if you're in the area.

My friends and I were in the neighborhood, and were looking for a place to have lunch. A member of our group suggested this place. Looking over the menu, we liked what we saw, and went with the suggestion. The place was busy, as it's a local favorite. There were 5 of us, with a 6th person arriving later. The host offered us a booth, which we politely declined, and, instead, waited for a section that would hold all 6 of us. After a few minutes, the host let us know our section was ready. He was nice enough to put together 3 tables end-to-end for us, complete with menus, and silverware. While a couple of us settled for ice water, one of my friends ordered an Old Fashioned, another an Iced Tea, and another ordered a beer. Our server(who was also our host) was quite nice, and attentive. He took all of our orders, and accommodated our requests for separate bills. I ordered the Shore Burger, with a side of BBQ Baked Beans. All of our orders arrived at the same time. While my beans were somewhat warm, my burger was lukewarm...but still juicy, and, delicious! They didn't splurge on the sauce, and, my burger didn't disintegrate while I was eating, which, while not that big a deal(the part about having your burger fall apart while you're eating), is a bit of an annoyance, and I was happy that my burger, aside from a few drips of burger juices, stayed intact. All in all, great service, great food. Definitely making this a go-to next time we're in town! My lone [minor] issue was the temperature of my burger. It could've been warmer, yet, it didn't taste like it had been sitting for an extended period of time, as it was, as I said, juicy, and, most importantly, delicious!

Been wanting to come to this place for a couple years now we finally bit the bullet and am I glad we did! Food is fresh chicken is freshly fried salad and greens were crisp and fresh. The waiter was kind enough to provide the salad and two bowls. The hamburger is a half pound is good beef on fresh Brioche bun . Then I got my tater tots which it hard to come by very good.. everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was on the ball and we enjoyed our evening out. We will be coming back.

The space itself is nice. It used to be a Chicago ribs and it looks the same but more updated and modern. Food was mid...it's not terrible but it's not good. Reminded me of BWW or diner type of food. I was craving chicken strips so I tried them with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The strip themselves were decent but not what you would think of when you think of chicken strips. The breading was light which I liked and the meat was wide and thin. Mashed potatoes were super thick and gummy and the Mac and cheese was that plastic-ky cheese with no flavor. I would come back maybe for happy hour or for an appetizer. Not so much worth it for their 20+ dollar dinner plates imo.

I ordered the fish tacos. They were ok. They put the slaw on the bottom so the tortilla get soft fast and starts breaking. We ordered take out and only lives 5-7 mins away. I will give it a try again and do a sit in. read more

I'm giving it three stars because I believe they have a little work to do, namely the baby back ribs. I'm not sure if I got what was left over from the dinner crowd,because my ribs were not falling off the bone tender. As a matter of fact I had to work a little to get some of the meat off of the bone. The back of the ribs were well done almost burnt. Aside from the ribs I had their hot wings, tri-tip, cole slaw and waffle fries. The wings were hot and delicious, by hot I mean from the fire, the cole slaw nice and creamy, the tri-tip tender and tasty and the fries were fresh and hot. Overall it was a good experience, friendly staff and a clean environment. I will go back and hopefully give it a better rating. read more

Given I liked Chicago Ribs, I was hoping this place would be comparable in price and quality. I was very disappointed. I ordered the fish and chips, the batter was over caked and full of grease. My fries were soggy and the coleslaw tasted like it was out of a jar. My daughter ordered the chicken strip meal. The portion was large and the chicken well cooked, but lacked any seasoning and still had pieces of bone attached to the boneless strips. Finally my oldest daughter got a Cobb salad. The lettuce was old and looked wilted. Needless to say, it wasn't a great dinning experience. Our wait staff was very pleasant, but not attentive. After we placed our order, We didn't see our server again till I asked for him. I wish he would've checked on us sooner, so I could've sent the meal back for a second attempt, but by the time he came over, I was no longer hungry. He thanked me for the feedback and took my meal off the bill. I understand they've just opened and have to get the kinks out, but I'm not sure if they're getting a second chance from me. read more

We ate at the Shore Grille last night. Wasn't sure exactly what to expect but the food was bomb. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was delicious. I had the the chicken strips. They were kinda like the old recipe from Chicago for Ribs, but better!!!! The strips were bigger and fluffier. The tater tots and asparagus were great sides as well. Everyone (party of 7) said their food was great. My husband had the tri trip and he said it was really good. And the desserts were freaking amazing. We had the chocolate chip ice cream with vanilla ice cream and brownie with ice cream. The cookie was in its own pot thing, warm with ice cream and the brownie was a good size portion, warm with chocolate and caramel sauce. The staff was friendly. Francisco was our sever and he was funny and knowledgeable about the menu. Our drinks were always refilled!!! The only thing I would change is having the staff wear name tags. I like to know someone's name if I need to get their attention. But that's just me. read more

We were surprised when Chicago Ribs closed. Someone told us that the new restaurant had ribs. We were pleasantly surprise. We went on a Monday. It was crowded but we immediately got a booth. So glad this place is open. Their foods delicious. The fried calamari is crunchy and tender. Their bbq chicken salad comes with onions rings to die for. My husband and I always enjoyed going to Chicago for Ribs and were disappointed when it closed. We thought we would try out Shore Grill who took over the location. I ordered the wings and they were exactly the same as Chicago for ribs. There are a few new items on the menu, such as fish tacos and chicken and waffles with Sriracha maple syrup. This place deserves praise in that it worked very hard to make it through the pandemic. They have great food, catering to different tastes and wants. Their staff is friendly, hard working and very courteous, especially the manager/owner. The three stars are for the pathetic attempt at delivering food. We have ordered twice, the second time was to give it a second chance; still waited over an hour and a half! It's a good place to go in person, order and pick up, but don't order and wait on your food. read more

This was our first time getting food from Shore Grille. We were dying for Chicago for Ribs' baby back ribs and had heard that Shore Grille was still making them. Wow! We each ordered a half rack of the ribs. They were absolutely scrumptious and so tender that we didn't even have to use a knife. Our sides were garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and cornbread. Everything was delicious. You get a lot of food. The only thing that could've made this better is if we could've eaten in the restaurant. read more

Great BBQ. Good selection. Lots of side choices including garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Good eat in service, clean restaurant and pleasant servers. For at home, they deliver themselves, so no jumped up charges for a delivery service. read more

This was the first time for my wage and I to visit. She ordered the fish and chips but added asparagus in stead of the cole slaw. I ordered the BBQ chicken wing diner with tater tots and also the asparagus. The wife enjoyed her dinner and I have to say that I was very disappointed in mine. The tater tots and asparagus was very tasty but the chicken wings were the downfall to the meal. First off the chicken did have a nice crispiness to them but in getting them that crispy they were over cooked to the point that they were extremely dry. As a result I was only able to eat 4 of the 10 and they weren't even worth the to go box to take them home. To sum up the whole outing I would have to say that it will be a while before I try this out again, maybe due to new owners and establishment it needs time to mold together. read more

I came here expecting a good meal because it had a pretty high rating. I decided to pick up food because of my Covid concerns. The food wasn't ready at the promised time and everything seemed like it was a mess. I was very disappointed at the quality of the food. The rack of ribs were very dry and didn't even eat a quarter of the rack! And it was $29.95! SUPER MARKET RIBS ARE WAY WAY WAY BETTER. I also got the buffalo cauliflower and it came soggy as mushy on the inside. I don't know if it was prepared like this or maybe the steam made it like this. My kids love chicken strips anywhere they go, but only took one bite of their tenders. The rest of the food went to the dogs, and luckily they ate it. Overall, I would not recommend this over priced, bad tasting restaurant to anyone! read more

Stopped by today after a talk with the owner and the service was outstanding! Food was delicious as always and we even got a free dessert to make up for our not so great experience last time. Our server was Carlos and he was phenomenal and made sure we got taken care of. He even apologized on his behalf for our experience last time which was so nice of him to do. Went on a Tuesday and got BOGO tacos. Had the shrimp and fish tacos. They were both delicious but if you're looking for more meat, definitely get the shrimp tacos. Husband had ribs with beans and cornbread; he enjoyed everything. read more

Spent $50 on takeout and ordered the tri tip bbq sandwich, fish and chips, Buffalo wings, and mashed potatoes and honestly the only thing we enjoyed were the fries and mashed potatoes. The fish had no seasoning omg, none at all it needed salt and flavor so badly! The sandwich wasn't bad, but the bbq sauce was not good and too sweet. Over all will maybe give it another try, but wasn't satisfied. read more

After the quarantine, it was so refreshing to see some restaurants open and this is one of them. Understandably short of staff, service was still excellent. Fish tacos was great, and so was almost everything. The salsa needs more flavoring and a little extra more sauce for the chips. Love the distance seating and great comfortable booth seating. Will certainly go back again and may become one of our favorite spot! read more

Went without a reservation for lunch. Group of 9. Fast friendly service. They didn't even flinch when we asked for separate checks. Everything was delish. I had the enormous Chinese Chicken Salad...Filled with so many crunchy, yummy ingredients. A couple of us split the panko crusted, tasty calamari strips. So good!!! Tender and served with two dipping sauces. My nice had gone previously and highly recommended the Tomato basil soup and patty melt. Food and service is always good but my favorite thing is the fish tacos with the crispy thick chips. So yummy, I think about them probably once a week (and had them last night). Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.

Secondly, the corn tortillas were made in house and were hefty! Very tasty and held together where other tacos need two of the thin store-bought variety to have a hope to stand together. Very good. If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. And it was unctuous without being overbearing. If I had to guess, I would say that they used broth and chicken fat. Simply good, and a complement to rest of the meal. Now to my theory. When we first came here, we met Mona, one of the owners, and she was fantastic. My husband and I came in today and sat in the last booth on the far right side of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy, so I expected decent service, but that wasn't the case. Our waitress never introduced herself, avoided making eye contact, and didn't seem very attentive. We both ordered the marinated steak bites and eggs. My husband's order came out correctly, but mine was served with a sirloin steak instead of the marinated steak bites--and yes, there is a difference. The steak was rubbery and difficult to eat. It honestly felt more like a frozen TV dinner than a freshly prepared meal. Throughout the meal, our waitress never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or offer condiments or coffee creamer. I had to flag down the busboy for help. At this point, the busboys deserve recognition because they were far more attentive than our server. It also seems like the service is much better when the owners are there. I'm really disappointed with both the food and the service. To top it off, our bill came to $54, plus an additional card fee. It's disappointing because we know this restaurant is capable of providing a great experience--we've had one before. I hope management sees this review and takes it as an opportunity to improve because this restaurant has a lot of potential, but experiences like this make it difficult to want to return.

Had a solid experience at Shore Grille in San Pedro on Sunday night, around 6:20pm. It's a great casual spot that checks a lot of boxes for comfort food, cold beer, and a laid-back vibe. Let's start with the food, it was really good across the board. We tried the grilled chicken club sandwich, the pork sandwich, and the breaded chicken plate (X2). The chicken plate, in particular, was huge and came with two sides and a piece of cornbread that had just the right balance of sweet and savory. Between the table, we sampled the sides, broccoli, baked beans, waffle fries, and mac n' cheese. They were all tasty, no bad choices here! Someone in the kitchen cares about getting the flavors right. They've also got a nice selection of draft beers, which is always a win in my book. Plenty of options for IPA lovers and casual drinkers alike, all served nice and cold. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a pint without feeling rushed. They even have a happy hour, see my pictures. Another big plus: TVs everywhere, so if you're into watching sports while you eat, you're in luck. We caught the Yankees beat the Dodgers (boooo!) during our visit. Despite the result, it was fun to have the game on in the background while we enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly but slow. Shoutout to Alejandro, you're a nice guy, but we did feel the lag. Hopefully just an off day because everything else made up for it. Shore Grille has all around good service. You don't have to wait as long as other restaurants for your food and their workers are friendly. I also like all the food options they have. read more
