Coconut shrimp, lobster roll, Reuben sandwich

Wow what a great restaurant! Fast service and the food was amazing! Great spot to grab a quick bite and eat outside on the picnic tables! Will be back wow amazing food!!

Chips were soggy but the haddock Reuben was very good.

This looked like a good," locals" place with moderate prices, laid back, beachy ambiance (although our server did not smile once), & both indoor & large outdoor dining spaces. We hoped that we could enjoy good lobster rolls but sadly, that was not to be. Both sisters felt that the lobster tasted soggy, yes, soggy & lacked flavor, to the point where we wondered if it had been previously frozen. The third sister, on the other hand, had a really good tasting & filling haddock "Reuben" sandwich. We all shared the very large portion of fries, which were crispy & good. We enjoyed the fresh air, the sun, the fries & haddock; too bad about the soggy tasting lobster roll.

Ct style, it was ok, the mayo style is better

If you are heading to shore beach, this is a good spot to walk down and grab some lunch to bring back to the beach. If you want a reasonably priced lobster roll, they got you, if you want a sandwich, they got you. If your looking for something fancy, go to short sands and eat at one of the many restaurants in town you're at the wrong beach. This is a nice alternative when you don't want to pack and worry about lunch and maximize your beach time.

Decided to take a ride and ended up in York Beach. Normal crowds were definitely not there so it was a nice day to walk around. We didn't see any restaurants that called to us in the beach area but as we were driving away passed Shore Road Market and decided to stop. A lobster roll (either Maine for mayo or Connecticut for butter) is only $10.99 which is a fantastic price. The menu has a lot to offer. We got two Maine lobster rolls and a bowl of haddock chowder for $7. Ordering was easy with everyone wearing masks and then you select a picnic table outside (which was so nice on a June day!) and they bring the food to you. There is a station outside with plastic silverware, napkins and a range of condiments. Our food only took about ten minutes. The lobster rolls were great. The size was good and they included some huge chunks of lobster. Heavenly. They came with home made chips and pickles. Nice and tart pickles. The chips were good and we actually dipped them into the haddock chowder. The haddock chowder was a huge portion. My only complaint was it didn't seem to have a lot of haddock as it was mostly thick broth and potatoes. I liked it but it was a bit different than haddock chowder I normally get. Very friendly service, plenty of outdoor seating and nice prices on all the menu items. We'll definitely stop in again!

Best lobster roll for the price of $9.99. Full of lobster meat on a butter bun and served with homemade potato chips. So delicious! This establishment had a small market inside and a huge menu. There was seating inside as well. The cashier was a sweet elderly man. Definitely worth the stop if you ever get their way.

The Shore Road Restaurant and Market in York, Maine is a gem you won't want to miss! There, you can casually sit outside on picnic tables across from the ocean and indulge in favorites like clam chowder, lobster rolls, whole lobster, crab cakes and more! The service is outstanding and quality of the food will exceed your highest expectations.

All for $9.95 - one of the cheapest lobster rolls in town!

This place is actually a little general store that also serves some fried foods. At $9.99, it's the best priced lobster roll on York Beach. Now granted it's not that big but it does come with homemade thick cut potato chips and a pickle. If you need a quick, cheap lobster roll for lunch, check out the Shore Road Market.

We ordered lobster roll, lobster Reuben and fries take out today. I like lobster Reuben but the kids love lobster roll, so we back again take two more lobster roll. They grilled fries teased really good.

Stopped in on our ride from New Hampshire to Maine for the 9.99 lobster rolls! We split one and it was served with homemade chips. We got it with butter instead of mayo based. It was very delicious and lots of lobster in the roll. Can't beat it for the price! They had ample seating inside. Don't let the convenience store/ restaurant scare you away!

At the time of this posting, their website was still under construction and they will be offering DoorDash delivery. There are picnic tables in front of the trailer. After an appointment nearby, I stopped by the Trapped in York Maine food trailer. I decided to order a Small Trapped Meal ($24 plus tax) with a Small Lobster Roll, bag of Cape Cod Sea Salt Chips, watermelon cubes, 2 homemade Maine spice cookies, and a fresh lemonade. My order was prepared to order in about 8 minutes. I enjoyed my food outside. The Lobster Roll (3 oz of knuckle & claw meat in mayo) on a toasted New England hot dog roll. The watermelon and chips were good sides for the Maine style lobster roll. The 2 homemade sweet Maine spice cookies were soft and chewy. The iced lemonade was refreshing, as I enjoyed the rest in the ride after finishing my meal.

I was excited to find out that they are in fact open on Sundays- so Yelp is wrong about that. I got the large which is 6 oz on a hot buttered brioche roll, which can be served cold with just mayo, or warm with butter. I opted for the latter. It was DELICIOUS - more tail than claw- which made me extra happy!! The service was outstanding, I believe the owner was there- but the young lady was also quite sweet. They answered all my questions, both on the phone, and in person. I also ordered the haddock and fries for tomorrow- but of course I tried it. So tender and flaky!! Their fries are hand cut, and have both sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. So good! Lunch is going to be great tomorrow! The place is a yellow food truck, so seating is casual at picnic tables. It is quite lovely! I was hungry- so I had already taken a few bits of my lobster roll- sorry about that haha

They serve various size of lobsters as well as cook them for you. However they do not provide place to eat or utensils so they function more as a market than a restaurant. They have sort of a parking lot where you can park. There are few works on the back hanging around and 2 younger staff that take care of orders. Lobster has quite few size options and some explanations for terms they use. We weren't sure what to get but figure we wanted larger size lobsters. SLX which is the largest ones were $14 per pound. They can also let you pick them live as well but we chose 2 lb ones. They charge $1.5 to boil but it's a-lot of work to boil properly so it's worth it. We waited about 20-25minutes or so and they also chilled it so that we can take it home to eat. Luckily we had ice box with some ice packs so it kept the lobster fresh until getting home. Once we got home we opened the bag to eat the lobster. It's a huge lobster with large claws. We got a large bowl and separate plate to eat. It was a massive task to crack the claws as one of the claw was huge and very tough. We ended up using a hammer and dull knife to crack them open. The meat was tender and sweet. One of the best maine lobster we had. Overall the place provides fresh maine lobster for good price. Only issue is that they don't serve it so you will need to plan to take it home and have tools to crack them open. They also only take cash. If i were to come back i would give them a call a head of time to have the lobster prepared to go and pick them up which seems to be what other people were doing.
