An afternoon visit to Santa Barbara as the plan and needing somewhere to eat at is when Shoreline Cafe was picked for a little lunch on the beach. I can see how this is probably a super hopping place in the summertime as it is situated right in the same on the ocean. Seeing as I went yesterday, it was in the winter time and not all the warm, actually a bit stormy but still awesome to be able to eat at and enjoy some of the nice ocean views and breeze. How the patio is situated we didn't have to worry about anything blowing off of our table so it was great. I ordered the grilled ahi tuna tacos. I can say that I have definitely had better tacos. The tacos come out deconstructed, yet I didn't think there were enough toppings to make four tacos out of. They gave me four corn tortilla shells. Now maybe I was only supposed to make two tacos, but really the filling was pretty skimpy. The fillings were mango salsa, black beans, and pico. Since the fillings were so minimal I just thought the tacos were pretty dry overall. The tuna was fine but nothing too exciting. It was a fun experience though and I would come back but to try something else on the menu. read more

We are locals and have been to this restaurant before. But that was before COVID. This time, not so good. Ordered shrimp and chips. The Shrimp tasted like a lot of batter and no shrimp. Asked for a different dish They brought a fish taco. Tiny pieces of some breaded fish. Operative word, some. Overall not good. The other funny thing is that they have a happy hour from 4-6. Shoreline has a unique dining experience. You can sit on the deck and still be able to see the beach and ocean or sit on the sand and see the ocean. You may have to wait for a little while if you choose to sit on the sand to dine. The seats on the deck are equally good if they are on the beach side. I had the Seafood soup and my friend had the Ahi poke both were decent for a restaurant on the beach. They seem to have a good selection of burgers and hot dogs too. read more

He is always friendly and welcoming to all the customers and is extremely fast and efficient in getting my order to me every day!! I am a frequent customer and I noticed that Rafa is an extremely hard worker. He is juggling his time between the take out window and making all the drinks (alchoholic and non-alchoholic... shakes, smoothies, ice cream sundaes and more) for the restaurant as well. Went on a Sunday morning with a group of 5 around 11. Seated fairly quickly unless you wanted a beachside table. the scenery and ambiance was great and might be the best part of the cafe! Having the breeze and beach while eating made it so much more enjoyable. The food was good, my friends all enjoyed their meals. I didn't enjoy my burrito as much since it had so much tomato/tomato juice inside however, I learned my lesson with what to order. They didn't offer us the brunch menu despite arriving before 11:30 so we didn't get to brunch. The bathrooms were low-key awful but they were gender neutral and available to the beach goers as well so maybe just a bad time when I went in. overall I enjoyed the place and the birthday girl enjoyed her meal so that was the main concern. the waitress was very nice, apologetic and immediately wanted to rectify my complaint and assure that I was satisfied with my burrito which is always reassuring and appreciated. left photos of the food we ordered :) read more

We rented a VRBO just a mile from Ledbetter Beach. Shoreline became our go to place. We went there for happy hour, breakfast, and lunch. Never disappointed. Great breakfast, wonderful margaritas, and a quirky and delicious fries with clam chowder. Good food but the service was beyond excellent. Great people. The first drink came out looking like half a Martini, so I mentioned something to the waitress, Haley, and she explained it was not a full drink due to the fact I had asked for no Vermouth. Surprising response and one I haven't heard before. Against my girlfriends' advice I asked Haley, our waitress, for another and to please make it a full Martini if possible. I went to Shoreline for the first time today and it was great! The hostess and waitress were both very friendly and gave us the option to sit on the deck or on the tables in the sand. We chose to sit on the deck (with ocean view) but if you do choose to sit in the sand, bring sandals/flip flops! The quesadilla was delicious and made with a bright red tortilla; it comes with a side of guacamole and fresh salsa. The tuna melt + sweet potato fries were very savory. Get the whole tuna melt sandwich (instead of half) since it's only a few bucks extra. Tip: mix the ketchup and cholula hot sauce for a spicy and tangy dip! read more

Really awesome service, amazing views, and the food is not bad either. When we came in, it was in around dinner time and the place was fairly busy, but the waiters were super attentive and quick. Also really friendly so kudos for that! They made good recommendations based on our preferences instead of just pointing out the most expensive thing on the menu which I really liked. The view is amazing. You get a panoramic view of the pacific, which is cool, and the beach is not set in a way that when it gets crowded it blocks your view. That's also pretty awesome. The food was ok in my opinion. We tried different fish tacos and I have to say the fish was really fresh, but I've had tastier tacos elsewhere. It wasn't bad or anything, just not very tasty. I'd still come here to kick it with friends just for food and drinks and if I'm hungry, I'll order food too. Definitely recommend coming here for a casual atmosphere and a chill hangout. read more

My family just had $18 burgers that were dry, with meat that tasted like a middle school cafeteria, and an onion slice. If you're going to charge higher prices, at least make the food decent. We love this place! Everything we've tried so far has been delicious. My favorite dish is the Huevos Rancheros w fresh fruit.
