Donna our guide was fantastic. We went snorkeling at night. It was scary at first, but Donna kept us safe and oriented. She pointed out things we would have missed like shrimp and eels. We saw a reef shark and a turtle. This was the highlight of our trip to Maui.

This was the highlight of our Maui trip! Our guide Joey completely put us at ease and despite being terrified first time snorkelers and non-swimmers, we were venturing out from the shores of Kapalua bay and into the ocean in no time. A must do for even non swimmers! Since we were both terrified of the ocean, Joey started us out in full gear - wet suits, fins, snorkels, pool noodles and other floatation devices. My partner who had never floated in his life and thought will just stay on the beach and watch was swimming and having fun in the ocean in the first 10 minutes itself. This was a huge achievement for him! By the end, Joey had me swimming freestyle on my own without the aid of even a pool noodle. He taught me how to kick to move faster and how to use my arms to turn and so much more. We felt like we got a free swimming lesson! It was amazing finding a whole other world of sea turtles, urchins, coral reefs and shoals of fish underneath. Joey was so kind and encouraging - he not only made the entire 1 on 1 tour fun but also educational. We learnt a lot about the hunting, eating and sleeping patterns of the various sea life which made it all even more fascinating! Sadly I only have crappy pictures to show for it. (Lesson learnt: take a good camera for your underwater adventures here!).

I highly recommend going with this company! We looked at doing a group snorkel which ranged from 4-6 hours long with a huge group. But my BF decided to call this place instead. I'm glad he did! We had a wonderful experience with Westin our guide on our private snorkeling tour for an hour. It was much better and felt more intimate rather than going on a huge boat tour. Westin picked us from our hotel and drove us to the beach. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a few choices on location depending on what we wanted to see and how experienced we were. He took us to a great location. Once there he walked us down to the shore to check out the water to see if this is where we wanted to snorkel. Then we went back to the van to get fitted with our gear. He explained how the masks should fit and how to adjust it in the water when it gets loose. I'm not the best swimmer so he provided me with a fun noodle to stay afloat and he will carry for you if you decide you don't need it anymore in the water. He also has a waterproof camera, and he was able to capture some amazing shots. He dove down to take up close photos of the sea life and he captured great photos of my bf and I. He air dropped the photos onto our phone as soon as the tour was over. We didn't have to wait to get our photos. It was the best experience! I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to go snorkeling in Maui. Westin was an excellent guide with tons of knowledge and experience. He's a certified scuba instructor and gave us great information. I would use this company again when we come back to Maui!

Spike was our guide and he was great!! This was our first attempt at snorkeling and it was a great experience. My son was weary of going out but Spike assured him he would take good care of him and he did.

This is one of the best Snorkeling trip I had in my three trips to Hawaii. Weston knows his stuff really well and very friendly in setting up the entire session. He knows some of the beet local places where I saw at-least 6 different turtles in span of one hour. Considering I don't know swimming well, he made is very easy for me so that I focus on viewing the coral, fishes and turtles. I highly recommend this tour !! As a bonus, he also shares 60+ pictures instantly to me after the trip. He also gave me snorkel gears at extremely reasonable price. Great tour and awesome experience. I am already planning to do one more trip again with him. Cheers

What a wonderful experience. William was our guide...he picked us up at our resort and drove us to the best Snorkel spot. We must of seen 20 sea turtles. He explained to us what kinds of fish were swimming about and even dove down to collect some awesome seashells for us to keep! He was knowledgeable and very friendly. He even recommended some fun food spots for us to try. This is definitely worth the cost and I would do it again in a heart beat.

This was an absolutely phenomenal experience. We are on our honeymoon and I am terrified of the water. My husband and I both wanted to try snorkeling and see the Sea Turtles. Shoreline Snorkel helped us achieve both. I can NOT swim, but our guide Weston made me feel comfortable enough to go out. He stayed with me the whole time and we got to see the turtles!!! This was an amazing experience and we cannot recommend them more highly.

We loved Shoreline Snorkel. We took the three beach adventure. We were first time snorkelers and a mix group of swimmers and non swimmers plus some seniors. Weston was fully prepared to ease our fears. He got all the equipment and lots of flotations devices. Weston and Donna split us into two groups of swimmers and non swimmers. They took care of each group separately based on their needs and comfort level. We also had senior citizens in our group. Austin was very calm with them and slowly transitioned the non swimmers from shallow to deeper waters. He explained all the sea life that we saw under water. We had never seen such amazing life unclose before. They took our pictures underwater using their own camera. We saw so many sea turtles and got wonderful pictures with them too. Thanks to that, we have some amazing memories of our 1st time snorkeling experience. It's because of Weston and Donna that we are looking forward to many more such snorkeling experiences. They made our 1st time snorkeling experience amazing. We highly recommend them. They will dedicate whole day to just your group and make sure to make this an awesome experience for your whole group.

Finding the spot initially was a little confusing, we were the last ones to show up! You are given a number based on when you arrive and you choose a seat on the boat. There is a captain and a naturalist on board who talks about the whales. If you're sitting in the back of the boat, you really can't hear what's being said so sit at the front or in the middle. We circled around and got to see a baby whale breech the water! Such magnificent animals. When a microphone was lowered in the water, we could hear the whales "singing." Did you know it's only the males that do this? The time goes by reallllly fast, so just enjoy being out there.

We booked the 7 AM tour, which lasted about 2.5 hours, and it was absolutely worth waking up early for. The check-in location can be a little confusing to find, but the locals around the area are super helpful--just ask someone nearby and they'll point you in the right direction. The weather was perfect that morning, and we were lucky enough to see several whales. The highlight of the tour was a close encounter with two whales that came incredibly close to the boat--it almost felt like they were curious and checking us out. It was such a surreal and unforgettable moment. We also learned so many interesting and unique facts about whales throughout the tour. A special shout-out to Captain Kelly and our whale guru Cassy--they made the entire experience so fun, engaging, and informative. It honestly felt like we were out on the ocean with friends rather than on a tour. If you're considering a whale watching tour, I can't recommend Ultimate Whale Watch enough. Originally we…read morewere supposed to stay in Lahaina, but because of the rebuilding of the area, we stayed a little further south. I wish I did stay in the area because the whole area is a vibe. It's a little more touristy with resorts and shopping areas, but once you get on the beach you forget all that. Some of our group was already here and gave us specific instructions on where to park. We parked in a paid parking garage and had to walk between hotels to find the entrance to the beach. This particular stretch is in front of the Sheraton Maui Resort. This beach was awesome! Don't get confused like I did and think this was a black sand beach. Black Rock refers to the giant black lava rock going from the beach into the ocean. It's a very popular cliff diving area. In my opinion, you got to have some athletic ability to do the cliff diving. There's two ways to get to the peak of the rock to jump. There's a path from the shore, but you have to do a little climbing with a very sketch path to the top. The other option is to swim in the ocean towards the end of the rock where you have a little ladder to get you up, but you still have to get to the top of the rock. My friends and I decided to do the swim out which in itself was a challenge. One I got close, I decided to be the photographer in the water for when my friends jumped. We hung out in the water for awhile before swimming back to shore. The beach is perfect for lounging around, with soft white sand and crystal clear water. I brought my snorkel and goggles to really appreciate what's under the sea. We stayed out here way longer than we planned because time flies when you are having fun. On my next trip to Maui, I would totally consider staying right on this beach. I will most definitely be back!

For us, we prefer the Sunset Cocktail cruise as it's the perfect amount of food and drinks. This last trip, we took the whole family for the express snorkel trip. It's a shorter trip, which worked perfectly for the younger kids and didn't tie up a big amount of island time. Captain Nick and his crew was all about making sure all had a great time while keeping safety at the top of mind. They guaranteed we'd see turtles... we did! Immediately. I accused them of being remote controlled because they were there right on cue! I'm not a big snorkel guy, but I had a blast. We'll keep returning to Sea Maui. Greatest crew on Maui !!

On our vacation to Maui last week, we took trips out to the sea with Sea Maui twice. Our first trip…read moreout was an adults-only family excursion while the kids hung out with their grandma and auntie. The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

We spoke with Lenny Verrastro and he ended up selling us on a Snorkeling cruise instead. He raved on about how it was a 4 1/2 hr cruise with two seperate new dive spots that they've only been going to for about 2 weeks and that we would have 1 1/2 hrs at each spot to snorkel. We got there and went out, the crew was great and friendly. After an hour and half boat ride we got to the first spot and we're able to go snorkel. After about an hour and half I went back on the boat to get ready for the next spot. I heard one of the crew announce 20 more minutes and then we will be heading back. I asked about the second spot and the informed me that they dont do two spots, only one. I asked about what I had been sold by Lenny that we would be going to two spots and they said this boat (the Quicksilver) does not do two spots, they never have and that Lenny must have got confused with their other boat the Calipso. This was very dissapointing as I had not taken any pictures at this spot thinking that I would have a chance at the next spot. In order to have pictures, we ended up having to purchase pictures from the photographer on board which was extremely overpriced. When we got back to the landing, I went into the Boss Frogs there and let them know what had happened. They said there was nothing they could do and gave me a number to call. The next day I called Lenny to ask about what happened. I explained that we only went to one spot (which was neither of the 2 he said we would go to) and that when I asked the crew they said that he must have been mistaken because they only go to one spot. He apologized and then proceed to tell me that the crew was wrong and he doesn't know why they would tell me that and they were supposed to go to two spots. After a bit of conversation not getting anywhere, I ended the call and called the number given by the Boss Frogs at the landing. The number was for the boats reservations. I spoke to them and explained again what had happened to which they also explained that the Quicksilver only goes to one spot and their other two boats both make two stops. She said the Lenny must have been confused and there was nothing they could do, I would have to call Lenny back. I didn't feel that I would get anywhere calling him back so I came here to warn everyone to stay away from Boss Frogs for your boat tours and especially do not book anything through Lenny. The boats were great and the crew was awesome, I would recommend them. You can call the boat reservation line directly at 808-661-9937. **Follow Up** Within 2 hours of my yelp review I received a reply on Yelp, an email from Boss Frogs business manager and a call back from Lenny all apologizing for the misinformation and they processed a partial refund.
