I've been doing home improvements and was referred to Showcase Mouldings in Escondido. Although I'm chipping away at it. Craig at Showcase have always gone far and beyond what I'd expect given to someone who's buying bits and pieces a hundred feet at a time. I could not find replacement moulding for an exterior door with a full length window. The outside plastic moulding around the window had cracked and started to curl off the door. A new door was in excess of $1000. I had let this go for a while until it recently got worse. I finally called Showcase Moulding and spoke with Darcy. She was very helpful and said they had the moulding. I headed out there this morning to pick it up. Craig located the shape that I needed and cut some pieces for me. DO NOT GO HERE!! Probably the biggest jerk we have ever encountered at a business. My wife and I dropped by to inquire about some moulding corners and were treated with utmost rudeness and contempt. We thought we could get some expert advice and all we got was a demeaning attitude that smacked of, You're to stupid to understand and comprehend my expertise. Zero stars if it were possible!! My handman is doing a shiplap wall and casing out a window for me. He asked me to go to Showcase and pick out the materials for the project. Since I am totally unfamilair with woodwork nomenclature, I was dreading the experience However, Craig helped me with every detail and made sure I had exactly what I needed. Not only that, when he gave me the total price, I thought there must have been a mistake. Another handman had quoted me over $500 for materials! I had installed French doors and was looking for trim moulding. I needed something between 1-3/4 and 2-1/4" in width to fit my opening. I went to the traditional home centers, Home Depot, Lowes, and Dixie Lumber. All of them carry almost the exact same inventory in standard sized of 1-5/8. 1-9/16, then 2-1/4 or 2-1/2" material. So I thought I was going to have to build in some trim or use a totally different material that would not look attractive on the doors. I finally looked up mouldings online for Escondido, Poway, and San Marcos. I drove to the nearest one which is the one I am reviewing today. When I drove in I thought they weren't open because the parking low was empty. It is located no more than 1000 Yards down the street from Dixie Lumber. When I walked in I was amazed to see all the different types, sizes, shapes and substrates, i.e. wood, pressed material, plastic that were available. I found 2 different styles in 2" material and just finished framing the doors. My wife is excited and I am relieved that I didn't have to trim out the framing. They were extremely helpful, immediately got the stock out of the backroom, cut it to my size and then wrapped it up and brought it out to my car. I highly recommend that if you are looking for moulding, don't waste a lot of time at the home centers and take a quick look at this store first. You won't be disappointed and the pricing was equally as good as the home centers. read more

Prices are no better than other molding stores. Staff can be friendly or make unjust comments. Purchased product that was defective and they allowed it to get out the door. Had to wait for replacement to be shipped in. I picked it up and never received an apology for having to go out of my way. It should have been delivered to me. read more
