Fish tacos, steamed shrimp, hush puppies, and French fries!

Food was amazing! The Shrimp was top notch and they weren't stingy on the butter like most places! Fries were delicious. I had the fish tacos with mango salsa, so good with the sweet and salty flavors combined!! Yum, will be back!!!!! -The cook was nice and friendly as well!!

We drove past Shrimp Landing on our way to Fort Island Gulf beach. After spending some time at the beach we decided to get some lunch. We found Shrimp Landing on Yelp and the reviews sounded good. We ended up getting the last parking spot in front of the food truck area. The parking lot was packed. It's basically a food truck/trailer set up. There were plenty of picnic tables set up. They did have some gluten free options. We got the 1 pound of old bay cooked peel and eat shrimp. The 1 pound price was a better deal than the 1/2 pound. Everything came out quickly. The shrimp was really plump and tasty. The worker even brought out some ice water in a dish for our puppy. We really enjoyed the fresh air and watching the pelicans. The bathroom was even super clean. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Got the one pound shrimp basket that came with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Usually when you get a lot of shrimp it's because they aren't good, today that wasn't the case. Not only was there a sh!tlo@d of shrimp but they were exactly what I want in a fried shrimp. The sides were excellent as well which only added to the experience. Had the exact same meal the day before at Crab Plantation, and it was thoroughly disappointing so if you're in the market for shrimp, don't go there. And yeah I know "why did you get shrimp at a place called Crab Plant", because I was hungry and wanted shrimp and they had shrimp. Staff was friendly and food came out relatively fast considering how busy it was. Will definitely be back for more shrimp at Shrimp Landing. Here's a photo that I remembered to take after eating half the shrimp. Only downside is the no see ums, so if you're there in the evening maybe throw some bug spray on. Enjoy.

This is a great new spot that you can get to by boat or car. It is a food truck outside a marina. The staff are friendly and the service is great. There are picnic tables with and without umbrellas you can sit at. It's always great to have a view of the water and see boats passing by. We tried the fish tacos $15 and fries $4. Food came out fast and fresh! We will be back!

LAWD HAVE MERCY! Today I noticed this place on my way to Fort Island Gulf Beach for the first time with my elderly father. I knew immediately I wanted to go there for a late lunch. We were able to get a parking spot right in front. There is a menu on a board and you order at the truck. You are given a timer that will buzz when your food is ready. Clean picnic tables next to the water. Some in sun some in shade. Staff very friendly. Clean bathrooms. You can go for an air boat ride and also charter a boat I believe. They will cook up what you catch fishing. Now the food. SLAMMING. Very reasonable for the amount of food they give you. I had a pound of the blackened shrimp w/ crunchy French fries and really good slaw. & 2 of the best hush puppies I've ever had. Also delicious cocktail sauce that I did not need but had to have because you can tell it's house made. My father had the blackened grouper sandwich. Came with fries and a hush puppy. He loved it. I tried the fish very succulent, cooked to perfection.

My husband and I came here after paddleboarding to Three Sisters Springs. We had worked up an appetite after two hours of paddling and were craving some seafood. I had this place bookmarked since they have fresh seafood and it's right on the water. When you pull up and walk toward the location, you see the fisherman and your companies docking with their fresh catches and cleaning the fish. The restaurant itself is technically a food trailer outside of the market, near the docks. They have a ton of outdoor seating right on the river and restrooms a few steps away. For lunch, my husband ordered the snapper sandwich and I got the fried shrimp basket. The service was friendly and the food was prepared promptly. My shrimp were fresh and came with a side of cole slaw, fries, and a hush puppy. My husband also got fries and a hush puppy with his order. Everything was cooler perfectly and the portions were huge. It's definitely not a "fancy" place for dining, but the freshness is unmatched. We will definitely be returning next time we're in the area!

Exactly what you expect from a true seafood fresh from the water joint. It's a good truck but quality of a sit down place. See the photos. They plan to expand the eating area as it's right on the water and worth the few extra minutes from town. Highly recommend the seasoned shrimp, Clams, smoked wings, and blackened grouper !

Great spot for a relaxing lunch. Picnic tables, pelicans and good food - can't ask for more much more. Youngest got a combo basket of oyster, clams and snapper. He liked the snapper best. My snapper tacos (grilled) were spot on. Hubby enjoyed his clam strips and oldest liked the grouper sandwich. Just wish the baskets came with more than one hush puppy - the bite shared with me was spectacular!

Overall a great place. Will definitely be coming back. I didn't see the menu online so I took photos to share. Ordered: 1 full rack of ribs right off the smoker - they were excellent. They only have these on weekends but we lucked out and they had them today for the New Year. Also ordered the fish combo with grouper, snapper and sheep's head fish. You can have it grilled, blackened or fried. We opted for grilled. The fish was fresh and tasted great. Our only concern was that we Asked for the fish grilled without salt but it still has salted seasoning.

We stopped here after swimming with manatees in crystal river because our guide had made the recommendation. We had a group of about 6 of us so we tried a few different items. My fiancé and I shared the fried snapper with french fries and the brisket mac and cheese. The fried snapper and fries were absolutely delicious! Out of everything we tasted, that was by far the winner of our lunch. The brisket on the mac and cheese was really tender and delicious too. I never thought I'd say this, but the actual mac and cheese had way too much cheese for our liking and the cheese was pretty solid and not creamy. My parents had the brisket sandwich, which they said was pretty good. As we were finishing eating the owner told us that you can go fishing out on the river and come back and the food truck will cook up your fresh fish. I would definitely love to come back to do that! Overall, our experience was good and we would come back, mostly for the fried fish (or shrimp next time)!

steamed shrimp 1lb $23. And Thursday special fried shrimp basket with fries and slaw $11.

Great food and service. Food made fresh to order. They offer daily specials. And they offer to cook what you catch.

I got the Seafood Alfredo (from the dinner menu) and it was FABULOUS!!! Chock-full of seafood. Perfectly cooked fettuccine. And great Alfredo sauce. Im a bit of an Alfredo sauce skeptic because I make a great one at one, but this was even better than mine! My garden salad had a house-made ranch dressing which I love that they didnt skimp on. AND they bring their fabulous onion straws out to nibble on beforehand! Kudos Peck's! Exceeded my expectations. P.S. As I was leaving a pod of 5 dolphins were feeding in the inlet among the mangroves. So great atmosphere too! P.S.S. First of all, the drive out there can take some time, especially if you get stuck behind a driver who seemed to almost stop at every hairpin turn...not just slow down but crawl to almost a stop. There aren't a lot of spots where you can legally pass so we just had to hope they get off the road or take a turn before we get to our destination. As luck would have it, they turned right into Peck's Old Port Cove. Doh! Upon entering, we requested outdoor seating and the hostess gave us a couple of menus and two sets of silverware and instructed to head out and find a table we liked. We secured a table right by the water. After reading reviews and checking out the menu, my wife and I both ordered the almond crusted fish with lobster cream sauce and with fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a hurry and the views and refreshing breeze more than made up for it. While waiting for our food, we were served some complimentary fried string onions to munch on. The fish was prepared well. Flaky white fish (which we were told was farm-raised swai, aka basa which Google indicated is related to catfish but didn't taste like it) in a nice almond breading and a sauce that perfectly complemented the fish. The cole slow and hush puppies were also good. My wife and I thought the portions were generous and we wouldn't be able to finish it...but we ended up part of the clean plate club as we ate all of it. We're so glad we made it out here...good food and good ambience. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $46. NOTE: We drove out to Ozello Community Park after reading that it's a worthwhile visit. Nope! Save yourself the time...nothing to see there.

Our server, Grace, was fantastic--super friendly and constantly checking in on us, refilling waters and making sure everything was perfect. We ordered the four-person seafood boil, and wow--it did not disappoint. It comes with shrimp, mussels, corn, crab, potatoes, sausage, crawfish, onion, and garlic. There was a ton of food; we ate an unbelievable amount and still had leftovers, which says a lot considering I'm a 6'5" guy. The dark horse of the boil was honestly the onions. After soaking up all those Cajun juices, they were absolutely to die for. The wait can be a bit hefty, but they're pretty efficient, and it is 100% worth it. I'm thinking management must have changed because wow the staff has been better. We both ordered the same thing which we loved from our last trip 2 years ago, the Royal Red Alfredo. We get our dish and it is clearly not what we ordered last time but figure we haven't seen our waitress for 10 minutes and she never even checked on us. We had been out all day so we're starving. Oh, worth mentioning...it was my Birthday. Didnt even get a "Happy Birthday" after mentioning it to our waitress. My mother had to get a refill from the bar. The more we eat the more we realize this wasn't what we ordered, but rather the Shrimp Scampi variant. We call for the manager who argues with us over what an Alfredo sauce is which clearly it is not...he swears it is and that it has separated into God knows what as all we see is a soppy mess of butter and garlic. I show him a picture from Yelp of another customer's Alfredo from the restaurant we are CURRENTLY sitting in and told this is an old picture...We both realize we're getting gaslit as we know what an alfredo sauce is and had the exact dish so we know what it looks like. We agreed that we ate the food and will pay the price for the scampi dish they served us which is $2 cheaper than what we actually ordered. They refused to lower the bill so we left and paid without tipping. I've never had an experience quite like this where the manager will not even work with you. Not even an apology...we will never be back here again. You can judge for yourself if that looks like Alfredo to you. If you want straight seafood, this place might be alright, but the service we received was absolutely terrible.

This used to be one of our Favorite Seafood restaurants. Not anymore…read more Let me be very clear. The food has changed completely from the original recipes from the original owners. It's not the same quality or tastes. Let us go down memory lane here & revisit our last conversation, we had with you all there, last visits. You told us the story that the new owner was so dedicated to keeping the recipes the same, that they offered the one person a higher salary to stay on, because they were the ONLY person that knew how to make the original Clam Chowder, that everyone loved. You told us to our faces, my husband & I, that he was the only person that knew how to make the Clam chowder & you KNEW that you all had a LOYAL CUSTOMER BASE & FOLLOWING that loved your food & you were NEVER going to change the recipes. You told us you offered the man a bigger salary to stay on. You assured us the new owner wasn't going to change the recipes, just give the place "a makeover." We drove hours to get to Dan's on Saturday. We get there & there is a new sign out-front, its super cute, the building is painted very cute, looks like a super cute little Maine lobster shack in New England somewhere you would visit on Vacation. Now, the Local Florida vibes & charm, all gone. Asked for Tabasco & you don't even have any. In a southern Seafood Restaurant. Insanity. We order our usual Haddock sammy's, fries & Fried oyster app. The fried oysters batter is different, it's sweet. The two sauces on the side are different. Tastes like bottled Miracle whip & sweet cocktail sauce with no horseradish at all. Both sauces are HORRIBLE. The haddock batter is different. It's sweet & doesn't stick to the fish. (see photos) It's just falling apart all over the place b4 we could even attempt to eat them. Both our Sammy's a complete sweet mess, and not in a good way. The fries are some kind of GIANT hand cut fries that are undercooked. The bun, is a cheap bun like from walmart. No side of cole slaw nothing. I'm also not sure why your Haddock sandwiches and fries are $25 bucks each, double the price as "Gaby's" in Clearwater, Florida. I have posted many photos of their Haddock Sandwich's also, and not only are theirs half the price at $12.99, theirs are twice as big served on a cornmeal crusted bun WITH cole slaw. Math doesn't add up. Your haddock is overpriced and/or you cannot do simple math. OuiOui. Now that you have wrecked the food we will be eating The Haddock sammy's at Gaby's in Clearwater, Florida from now on. I have now taken you off all my Favorite restaurants lists & added "Dan's" to the "Worst food of our lives lists." Congratulations on your gentrification of what used to be one of our favorite seafood restaurants. You wrecked it, the food sucks. But, great paint job, it looks so cute. Will never return.
