All that is left of a full order of the best shrimp ever
    Lisa L.

Fabulous shrimp!! Suggest you order the garlic bread to sop the juice. They open at 10:30am; we arrived at noon & they were already out of oysters, fish & mullet. Our choices were shrimp, shrimp & garlic bread with a side of shrimp. Wednesday is steak day. Get there early. When you arrive send someone in your party to snag seats while you wait, wait, wait in a long line to order. If you don't see any seats just lurk around someone who appears to be finishing. You can bring your dog too.

Definitely a local spot. You don't grasp the size or ambiance until you walk in. Smoked Mullet dip and mussels. Worth the stop.

Ask the Community - Cedar Key Fish & Oyster

Has anyone ever got oysters here? I have never seen them for sale here.

No the retail store has been closed for over a year. Only the restaurant ( the freezer) is open.

It's where you can buy fresh seafood right off the fishing boats, as well as the best smoked mullet dip possible.

Outside remains the same with limited seating but we prefer eating inside. Even though it was busy we found a table right away. Our waitress came over and took our drink orders and left us to look over their menu per our request. The guys were very interested in one of their breakfast specials and ended up ordering it. Called a Tot Bowl the dish had tater tots, sausage, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers and onion and American Cheese with Sausage Gravy and two eggs. Two pieces of toast of your choice is included - both chose Rye toast which they loved. Only difference between the two plates were how their eggs were cooked. My Hubby loves over easy eggs while my brother prefers scrambled. They both stated that they loved their breakfast with my brother commenting next time he visits he would love to go to Kim's again. I of course chose something different. I had a bowl of their Stone Ground Grits with two scrambled eggs and ham on rye toast. Both the grits and the breakfast sandwich were delicious and filled me up. The guys are hoping next time we go the Tot Bowl special will be available. A great, friendly, affordable, cozy breakfast diner!

The gravy may have come from a can. I am unaware as I was not in the kitchen cooking, but it was just not a good meal at all. I'm sorry I spent the money to build my own skillet for disappointment.

I got the Seafood Alfredo (from the dinner menu) and it was FABULOUS!!! Chock-full of seafood. Perfectly cooked fettuccine. And great Alfredo sauce. Im a bit of an Alfredo sauce skeptic because I make a great one at one, but this was even better than mine! My garden salad had a house-made ranch dressing which I love that they didnt skimp on. AND they bring their fabulous onion straws out to nibble on beforehand! Kudos Peck's! Exceeded my expectations. P.S. As I was leaving a pod of 5 dolphins were feeding in the inlet among the mangroves. So great atmosphere too! P.S.S. The drive down Ozello Rd to get here in very old Florida scenic and lush vegetation too!

First of all, the drive out there can take some time, especially if you get stuck behind a driver who seemed to almost stop at every hairpin turn...not just slow down but crawl to almost a stop. There aren't a lot of spots where you can legally pass so we just had to hope they get off the road or take a turn before we get to our destination. As luck would have it, they turned right into Peck's Old Port Cove. Doh! Upon entering, we requested outdoor seating and the hostess gave us a couple of menus and two sets of silverware and instructed to head out and find a table we liked. We secured a table right by the water. After reading reviews and checking out the menu, my wife and I both ordered the almond crusted fish with lobster cream sauce and with fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a hurry and the views and refreshing breeze more than made up for it. While waiting for our food, we were served some complimentary fried string onions to munch on. The fish was prepared well. Flaky white fish (which we were told was farm-raised swai, aka basa which Google indicated is related to catfish but didn't taste like it) in a nice almond breading and a sauce that perfectly complemented the fish. The cole slow and hush puppies were also good. My wife and I thought the portions were generous and we wouldn't be able to finish it...but we ended up part of the clean plate club as we ate all of it. We're so glad we made it out here...good food and good ambience. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $46. NOTE: We drove out to Ozello Community Park after reading that it's a worthwhile visit. Nope! Save yourself the time...nothing to see there.
