Fantastic find for seafood and happy hour! Steamed or raw oysters for $.75 served with cocktail sauce, drawn butter, fresh horseradish and saltines. Spiced shrimp and mussels for $.65. Can't speak to the mussels because we didn't make it past the shrimp and oysters. Definitely not skimpy. Happy hour runs from 4-6 daily with an all you can eat oyster roast on Saturday afternoon. Drink specials and other appetizer specials as well. Friendly wait staff and an open air eating area. Shuckers will be a must stop on all return visits! read more

Came here for HH with friends while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. Decent oysters, shrimp, and small snacks and great HH deals. The drinks were subpar but expected at this divey type of bar. Our waiter was awesome. He was so friendly and told us all about his job. Definitely had us laughing. He even bought us all shots, which was so sweet of him. read more

I was in the mood for some good sea food and checked it out on yelp. Shuckers Raw Bar was close to our hotel and thought we'd give it a try. It looks like a hole in the wall, but the food is worth it. Especially during their happy hour 4-6. The server wore her mask the whole time while taking care of us. She had to ask some customers to relocate to another table to try to keep Social distancing. Everyone at the establishment were all understanding and no issues arise. While driving around the coast on a quick weekend getaway playing softball, we got a little hungry. Yelped multiple places. I just happen to run across "happy hour". Why not! Always down for happy hour, right?????? We got 2 dozen raw oysters, 2 dozen fried oysters, 2 dozen fried shrimp and 1 dozen mussels with 3 beers and two shots. There were only 2 of us. So I was skeptical because of the low star rating but let me tell you... this place was heaven sent! I was on a mission for some oysters and drinks while on vacation and after trying 2 other establishments with higher ratings (that did not have anymore oysters!) I finally decided to drop in here. I must say I was NOT disappointed. Very pleasantly surprised and my oyster craving was absolutely satisfied and without breaking my honeys pockets. I tried the raw oysters along with the baked oyster trio. Very very good... although the blackened baked trio was not my favorite they were all satisfying. The drinks were delicious and we had a nice relaxing evening on the patio. It's not a very romantic spot but definitely good for a happy hour or getting trashed to blow off some steam. After unsuccessfully trying to find anywhere in Murrells Inlet with less than a 2 hour wait, my partner and I stopped here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. Doesn't look like much on the outside, inside has a local dive feel to it. We split hush puppies and the steam pot and let me tell you, it was more than enough for two. Hush puppies were great and the steam pot was perfect with the exception of a couple oysters we couldn't open no matter how hard we tried. Definitely will remember this place for future trips as somewhere for good food and a good price without the crazy wait. read more

Came here for the happy hour oyster special. It was OK. The waitress gave more than what we ordered because some of them were so tiny they were barely in the shell. She tried to make up for that by doubling the quantity. I don't know what kind of oysters they were but they were not very flavorful. Visiting from Portland, Oregon and was dying for some fresh oysters. This place totally delivers. It's a dive bar and the waitress made that abundantly clear when I asked what wines they had by the glass. She was great. Her name was Sophia and such terrific service. The fresh oysters were delicious. I had the sautéed scallops, which were a little over seasoned for me, but good and my sister did a fried combo plate that had oysters, clams, grouper - all really fresh and good. Food was pretty good. I don't recommend getting the crab and shrimp dip, it's pretty greasy. The fish bits were awesome, no heavy fried, it's mostly fish and tastes really tender. We got a a dozen and a half raw oysters for the oyster happy hour, very fresh! We also ordered the steam pot with crab legs added and the sautéed captain platter. The steam pot is really good. Perfectly cooked but the cream sauce on everything does make it very messy. The sautéed platter was really good too! read more

I'm not sure if this place even means to still be in business, particularly as a restaurant. It is a dive bar-ish place, but it literally stinks inside like stale vomit. The waitress was rushing us to order our meal from the moment we sat down. She did not re-fill drinks or offer additional beers, she disappeared totally for nearly forty minutes after our order was placed. The food order was incorrect, the salad was made with very brown wilted basically rotten salad mix, and the shrimp might as well have been made of rubber. I made the mistake of ordering raw oysters in marginal season, so I won't hold the size of the oysters against them, but the amount of shell and sand in them was a little excessive for a "raw bar." When I politely pointed out the salad and incorrect entree, the waitress walked away without saying a word. The manager(?) came by later to offer to take the one entree off the tab, but replaced it with pre-set gratuity in excess of the value of the entree on a party of five. Despite the terrible food and service, I would have tipped the waitress generously, but find the included gratuity incredibly insulting. This place is a classic myrtle beach spot, but it is now overpriced trash. I now know why there's a red lobster at the beach, the local spots are awful. read more

Skip it! I ordered the seafood basket, fried fish and scallops. They were the worst I've ever had. Fish breading was slimy not crunchy. Hush puppies were horrible. It's crazy, come to Myrtle Beach every couple of weeks and this is the first time we have been here. My wife and I are big raw and steamed seafood eaters. The place looks like a dive bar but the food and service are great! LJ, our server, was pleasant, attentive, and careful to follow Covid guidelines. We both had seafood baskets - oysters and scallops for me, oysters and shrimp for him. The seafood tasted fresh and was perfectly prepared, and came with coleslaw and delicious fresh-cut fries. Waiting for my friend to get finished from work, I decided to have dinner because I was hungry. I waited 8 minutes to be seated, and because I was alone they sat me at the bar. I ordered a ceasar salad with the grilled shrimp, and waited over 25 minutes to be served. I have 2 beers on draft while waiting, and was ignored by my waitress and ignored by the bartender as well. the patrons sitting near me ordered my drink when she took their order however. the food was good but the ceasar dressing I requested on the side was a tiny, small cup and I had to request 2 more of the side serving cups to adequately cover my salad and the shrimp. For over $30. to get a dinner on the run, it was over priced and lousy service. Won't be back. read more

OMG... horrendous birthday dinner, no wonder why on a Friday night this is the only place in town without a wait out the door. Cate & I went here for the Oyster special for 65 cents each! Decent quality...nothing exceptional but tasty. The happy hour special here is the main attraction from 4p-6p. You get the .65 cent oysters, .55 cent shrimp and mussels. We split a cheeseburger which was huge and delicious. read more

Just got onto MB and finished eating here. A couple quick points...the clam chowder must have drugs in it because it's insanely addictive....the oysters are fresh and tasty. I had grilled tuna sandwich and my wife have fish tacos.my 5 year old had chicken and fries and even his reveiw is 5 stars. horrible nasty manager with a horrible and nasty attitude. I called and made a reservation and put our name in for 6 people and when we arrived the manager talked down to me and said with a snippy attitude that "they don't take reservations" and that "no one at the restaurant would have taken a reservation from me." after sitting and arguing with the nasty manager we were forced to sit outside on a dirty, sandy table and then told that we will not be served if we are not "nice to her." we got up and left because of an immature and all around miserable manager.
