We went to this place, put in our name and we're excited to go, when we showed up a, the manger came to tell us to seat our self. We said we put our name in but she said nastily they don't take reservations even though we literally talked to someone on the phone. Then she gave us a huge lecture how she is right and we need to leave. Very small and when we walked in and after she snapped at us we had to sit at a sandy old table in another room. This place is horrible. With there terrible warm sour smelling oysters. What a disappointment... Besides that my Pepsi was flat when I told the waitress the bartender didnt believe me. So he had his local bar groupie taste it which they claim it wasn't flat. Then to come find out the machine was broke. Horrible horrible service. Would NEVER spend a penny there. The manager had a horrible attitude with us the moment we walked in the door. Called and made a reservation for 6 and when we walked in she started being beyond rude to a member of my party and said that they did not take reservations. That is fine if you don't take reservations, you do NOT need to have an attitude and act like that towards a young girl. When I walked in I was promptly greeted. The bar was empty as it was off season. I started with a dozen raw oysters which were delicious and fresh. The cocktails were just right. I ordered a basket of shrimp and scallops but had them sautéed instead of fried with a side of crab legs. The shrimp and scallops were full of flavor and firm both served with cocktail, tarter and butter. Besides the bartender Stacey, my favorite part of the meal was the crab legs which she highly suggested. You're able to add these onto any entree or grab as an appetizer or part of the steam pot. They were meaty and flavorful. The service by Stacey was outstanding. She is a native to Myrtle and made the experience the best I could ask for. She made my vacation with her friendliness and open dialogue. The atmosphere has that divey meets sports bar vibe. It seems that most of my reviews are 4 stars, but it just so happened that they are. Most restaurants I go to are either from reviews I've read, suggested by colleagues or friends with opinions that I respect or it's luck of the draw. This is one of those "luck of the draw". After a long day on the tradeshow floor, we wanted to eat seafood! I mean, we're in Myrtle Beach, so of course we should! We were driving on Kings Hwy, saw this "dive" looking place, saw the words "oyster bar" and said "sold!!" There were 7 of us, and there were only 7 people in the place and def' a dive, so we found a corner table and started ordering food. We just made happy hour, so oysters, shrimp, mussels, wings were only 35c-45c each. Ordered drinks etc....and we had a great 'ol time! Jukebox music was playing, we sang along, made a lot of noise and were full! The only negative would be at the end when we couldn't find the server to pay the bill. She had a trainee, and even that was fine when she waited on us, but the Server I think was paying too much attention to another customer. After everything we ate, the bill was only $147! NOT BAD for 7 people, plus the Oysters were sooo fresh and the steamed shrimp was too die for! We could've eaten that all night. Great find! read more

You would think a raw bar would have great raw oysters, however, Shuckers is an exception. First the good. The waitstaff is very friendly. Also, alcohol and spirits are decently priced. That's where the good stops. The bad greatly outweighs the good. Let's start with the oysters. They have cracked shells EVERYWHERE inside. Half of my oysters had half of a shell on them. When I told my waitress about this, she simply got me an oyster shucker. Don't expect oysters on the half shell here. You'll more than likely get oysters on the 3/4 shell. Atmosphere is a bit loud, but I didn't mind it. TLDR; come for the drinks, not the oysters. read more

The raw oysters were tasty and fresh. The fried basket of fish was delicious. However, the Mayo or the crab in the crab cake that we had was... something was off. My husband and I shared it anyway figuring we were not used to it and as it turns out (drum roll please)... it was bad. We both got sick from it. Oh! My friends and I came from Kentucky for vacation and found Shuckers as it was close to where we stayed. The atmosphere is incredible and the happy hour specials are the best in town! They also make the best spicy Bloody Mary I think I've ever had! Josh was our server and he couldn't have been more accommodating if he tried. Not terrible, but really not good.Went here for a simple dinner with family and it was a bit of a let down. Portions were very small. Most food tasted as if it was just frozen food that had been heated up. Even the fries were bad, hard to mess up fries. Honestly, the water was even bad. Service was ok. Atmosphere was decent. We didn't try the oysters, but can't imagine they would have been good. I don't recommend this unless you like a side disappointment with your meal. read more

My boyfriend and I were wandering around looking for a place with food and drinks and stumbled upon this place. It was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. We started with tequila oyster shooters and they were great. The drinks were extremely cheap (and we weren't there at happy hour) and my cocktail was well made. I had the "seawich" which is a sandwich made with the fish of the day. It was grouper this time and it was spectacular-- fresh and well cooked.
