The food was good, the service was slow, the ambiance was really nice. Give one a sense of the coastal restaurants. The lobster roll was in a typical New England split top bun which I was very happy. The lobster was on point. My husband had the shrimp po boy. He said it was tasty. He was happy that it wasn't too spicy. He loved the roll crispy on the outside and soft in. The potato salad with real bacon sprinkled on top. Everything is better with bacon . Coke slaw is served as well nothing to note on that. The hush puppies were amazingly flavorful and addictive. It's pricey but lobster in the south is expensive. The other local fish items are comparable. When we asked what time they closed, the bartender said 9:00, and then apologized for the kitchen being closed already. Took my motorcycle out for a ride and decided to treat myself on my day off. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal including half a dozen oysters and a breakwater burger. Bar seating was very enjoyable, space is small and tight but helps the small town feel. My husband and I have eaten here for several years. Every time we eat there our food is well prepared and delicious. We've had fried shrimp, oysters, and fish, steamed oysters, grilled oysters, low country boil, and boiled shrimp. Everything is delicious. The servers are friendly and helpful. Went to this restaurant Saturday night to enjoy a few beers and food with my friends. But the night slowly turned into a long dreaded one. We started the night with one beer and a shot then we ordered appetizers and food. It took almost an hour for the appetizers to come out to us and about 2 hours for the main meal. Ordered the steamboat, crab and wings. Overall, the food was good. Crab legs had good seasoning. The steampot lacked flavor for me, but they have a shaker with Old Bay on the table. The raw oysters weren't cold enough and weren't great. The fried shrimp and oysters in the poboy was good though. The steam/boil bucket wasn't overly hot like were used to for a boil but everything in it was fine. It doesn't come with potatoes or anything extra it's just the seafood. Ordered fried shrimp and oysters for takeout. The shrimp were like jelly - 100% undercooked. They smelled extremely fishy - like they should have been discarded by the restaurant and not served. We've come here on multiple occasions and the experience has been great each time. Always start with a half dozen oysters, and we've tried the seafood trio, calamari, steam pot, shrimp and grits, shuckin pot, and 1lb crab legs. We've been coming here for over a year now. Our parents introduced it to us. Our oldest just turned 21 and she requested Shuckin Shack for her family celebration. We had a large party of 14. Our waitress was amazing, catering to our every needs, making sure we were taken care of and they went above and beyond. They continue to be a great place for food, especially seafood, and the service has been exceptional. The manager even put a larger sparkler candle in the middle of her cake making it a bang when the cake came out and offered her a free shot for her 21st. Wow it was an eventful evening at this place. Started out great with a very nice server , Unfortunately an early party of 6 still had to wait an hour on our food. When we got it , Everyone had Cold Crab Legs rubbery and skinny and no forks to get meat out, Cold Corn, potatoes , sausage , room temp Shrimp , OVER fried Chicken Wings , AND A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER!!!She actually asked us when we ask to see her , if we were the Problem table, and when told her about our food she then asked us what was she supposed to do , "stick her finger in it to check it "?!! SERIOUSLY ? She also asked if we wanted her to recook our food that had taken an hour to get and we said no just take it off our bill. She goes away and here comes someone from behind the bar and tosses 2 $100 bills on table and said to pay for it with that in a loud voice !! What the heck , and we said no and she insist and leaves it on the table and walks away !!We all were a bit stunned at the rude way she came over and tossed money on our table. Then returns behind the bar. The manager never returns . So when we got our bills with all of the food that was sent back STILL on there even tho it was sent back . Six of us met at your Shuckin Shack, 03/08/2022 at 5:00 p.m. in Easley. We wanted to celebrate one of my sisters' birthday. None of us had ever eaten there so we thought we'd give it a try. I was so excited to be in a restaurant that served fresh seafood. It was a chilly, rainy afternoon. When we were seated, all we could feel is the cold a/c and ceiling fans blowing on us. We all were literally shivering, even with jackets on. We asked our waitress to please turn off that cold air. She turned off the ceiling fan. That was only a tiny bit better. We placed our orders and had to wait over an hour for our food. What was meant to be eaten hot was cold! My steamed seafood was rubbery. Almost everyone at our table complained about everything being cold and for the price we were paying for cold food. The waitress went to the kitchen and someone else came out. I could tell by the way she walked (almost stomping) to our table, it was not going to be good. The first thing the lady from the kitchen greeted us in a hateful tone is " So, I hear this is the trouble table." How unprofessional is that? My sisters began again about the cold food and having to wait over an hour for it. It went back and forth and the lady asked if we wanted it recooked. I chuckled and said I didn't after waiting for it over and hour the first time. Then she proceeded to ask us "what was she supposed to do? Touch our food with her hands to see if it was warm?' She then threw 2-$100 bills on the table and told us "to pay for our food with THAT!" "What, you need more?" I have never in my entire life been so shocked. That was an unbelievable display by a restaurant employee. Our bill for the food was just over $132.00. We paid the bill with her money and left. I am sorry for the waitress because we were in such a hurry to get the heck out of there, we forgot to make sure she was compensated properly. I can honestly tell you that I personally will never step foot inside another Shucking Shack anywhere ever again. I am still in shock over her behavior even 2 days later. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT for a small birthday celebration. I wish this had been a wonderful review but it's not. By the way, I had! to give it a star rating to be able to post my review. read more
