Wow. This place rocks. Loved the buffalo wings, BBQ wings, and fried shrimp. The wings were meaty and the sauce was just right. They don't ask you mamby pamby questions like mild, medium, or hot. Noooo. You ask for hot wings, you get hot wings. You can see the red pepper oil pool at the bottom of your dish. Is that a good thing? You bet. Jumbo shrimp? Plump-O shrimp. These were huge, plump shrimp lightly breaded and fried to perfection. I ordered a 1/2 lb dinner and served with fresh cut fries, it was plenty. The fries were a bit soggy but still good. Cole slaw was great. They offer dinner combos as well as a la carte items. Prices were reasonable especially considering portion sizes were generous. Shwings is EXCELLENT! My boyfriend and I have been going to Shwings for about a year now and their food is amazing! We have ordered many of their soups, wing sauces, fish and sides and all are delicious! Their customer service is also great! We have had issues with very few of our orders, but everyone makes mistakes. They handle any issues quickly and apologetically. You feel that every person there cares about you as a customer and wants you to be completely satisfied every time you order. Just ate lunch at Schwings. I'm stuffed! First time there. I ordered the half pound fish-and-chips which consisted of breaded fish nuggets, French fries and coleslaw. Fish nuggets were delicious and flakey, fresh cut fries were done perfectly and although I'm not really a coleslaw guy I thought it also was excellent. Some of my friends had recommended the restaurant to me so I knew I had it try it. The buffalo wings are to die for as well as the fries! This gem was recommended by family of mine. Definitely worth the drive from my house. We were greeted as soon as we walked in (very nice touch) After looking over the menu I decided on the 6 piece boneless garlic Parmesan and 4 boneless of the Shwings buffalo sauce. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The garlic was not overpowering at all, it was a perfect blend of Parmesan cheese and garlic! The buffalo had a little kick to it which I enjoy when eating wings so I was very happy with those as well. The meal came with hand cut French fries that were tasty and plentiful. We parked right in front, with 2 little kids that's always a plus. Service was on point and very friendly. I came in with high expectations and they were met or exceeded! I usually take a picture of my dish but was off my game and forgot but I did get one of the flavors they offer. I plan on going back a few more times to try all of them. read more

Now i love Lawrences seafood mkt in chicago but this place was better. The batter used was lighter which let the flavor of the shrimp be the player. I must say the food is really good. I've had the shrimp both large and jumbo and the were both on point. It really doesn't matter if you just order the large cause you get more anyway. And I'm still not sharing lol. I also had the oysters that were good but got a little soggy on the ride. The scallops were good but I've definitely had better and the wings were good to. The eight of us took a road trip from St. Louis to Shwings last weekend and must say was not disappointed. It was fantastic. The food was incredible from the soup to the fries. We each had a soup which were great. I had the Tortilla soup which had a little kick but not tooo spicey. We all had the shrimp, wings, fries and cold slaw. Maybe order ahead and get takeout here. The service is comically bad. I've been here multiple times and it's always the same. The ladies who run the counter seem pretty well intentioned, but kindof struggle to take orders. It shouldn't be that tough. Last time I came here, it took a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge we showed up. I tried to order a wing combo with onion rings instead of fries. They said they don't do substitutions (although that is not posted anywhere), but after I walked her through the math she let me place my order. Then they had to confirm our very simple order before cooking it. This is actually a better experience than I've had here before though, so maybe they're getting better? The prices are a little high, but I'm fine paying more for a good local place. Problem is, most of the stuff is the same frozen food you get anywhere. And they charge for the normal ranch or blue cheese. The wings are middle-of-the-road. If you're going to come here, be prepared to laugh off mediocre service for mediocre food. read more

The food is great, but these slimy and raw fries need to be addressed. Normally when we go we ask for the fries well done, and this translates to them as a light golden brown which at other restaurants would be their normal fries... But the last couple times we've gone and asked for the fries well done, we have received fries that are translucent, slimy, floppy, and some are still a little raw. If we ever decide to go back, we will be checking everything before we leave.... And pay for sauces? What's that all about??? read more

Wow! We have been looking for a place with great fried catfish because we are tired of harolds prices and terrible service and our prayers have been answered! The catfish is delicious and not greasy. The only thing I wish is that the hit sauce was more pepper forward vinegar forward but it's still delicious. We also tried the chicken strips sweet heat is amazing shrimp with Cajun sauce is good too. So happy we found this place!
