Cheese enchiladas with rice and beans
    Meg P.

The service was amazing, very clean restaurant. Nice vibes felt very authentic and relaxing. The chips were a little stale, enchilada sauce was sweet... which was not something I've ever experienced before.. but I'm not a fan. Chile Relleno was incredible according to my mom. Good place to go for a quick bite to eat!

We were hungry for Mexican food and, of course, Yelp helped us find this restaurant. We always order the same thing when trying a new Mexican restaurant. Both my husband and I had a chili relleno with a ground beef enchilada and I had a chicken enchilada. The chips were nice and hot but needed salt, and the salsa had no spice at all. The bean dip was pretty good. There was a choice of black beans or refried beans. We really liked the chili relleno as well as the enchiladas. He really liked the sauce but I wasn't crazy about it. The service was amazing. A manager as well as the server checked on us a couple times. I didn't take any pictures of the food, but I did take a picture of one of the chairs, because it had a giraffe.. All the chairs were different and beautiful. As we were leaving I noticed this sign and wondered why this information wasn't posted in the menu or even on each table.

Always a good go to restaurant for tasty and filling Mexican food and drinks. Tried the 3 different enchiladas this time and they were all very tasty. The habanero salsa was nice and hot too. Always have had great service too. Very nice people working here.

Chile relleno combo is my favorite.

My go to place for chile relleno when I want a sit down meal. Service is great - friendly staff and I love the interior because of the great booths and relaxing feel. The only problem with my last visit is that the salsa had no heat and didn't taste like the usual. May have been just an off day.

I always like coming here. Today, I decided to try the guava margarita... amazing! I had tajin mix around the room instead of straight salt. It was so much tastier. I ordered the pick 3 enchiladas, and I ordered the shredded beef, plain cheese, and chili rellenos. There was also a peanut enchilada sauce that covered the plate. Our server was incredible. He came around and made sure everything was tasty and got. He also brought another drink when mine was empty. Can't wait to come back to try another margarita flavor.

If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant that the kids will also enjoy them look no further! Great atmosphere, squeaky clean bathrooms and amazing food accompanied by superb customer service. There is a lot of parking since this place is located inside a strip shopping mall. We ordered a few alcoholic beverages and they were on point! The kids enjoyed the Horchata. We had Fish and Shrimp Tacos and the White Bass was delicious. We also had a burrito for my daughter and she devoured it. The enchiladas were just like from my moms kitchen. For appetizer had queso fundido with chorizo the flavor was a bomb in your mouth! Seriously our new go to spot when we come visit Reno. Paloma's we're good, camarones a la diabla were the perfect spice level.

    A horribly ran Mexican restaurant

Wow! I wish I could leave 0 stars. This place needs new management. The menu says complimentary chips, beans and salsa. When we finished the chips, they took the empty basket, salsa and beans we didn't finish. Knowing he would charge for more salsa when our food arrived I wouldn't have let him take the salsa in the first place. When asked why he did that he became very rude and tried to justify what he did saying it was my fault I didn't know. Horrible service all around. I Was so mad I didn't even finish my food before leaving the cash to cover just the bill and no tip. As a food service worker he said I should know better. I will spread the word that this place sucks. Don't waste your time or money at this establishment.

    Cadillac margarita and peach Margherita

Tacos Tuesday...Not a good deal. We felt cheated... I have not checked this restaurant out since they change the name (10 years) My wife was looking for a Tuesday dinner special and this place popped up that had two dollar tacos on Tuesday. We do a lot of Mexican restaurants and I didn't I have a great experience here 10 years ago here, so I thought why not give it a go. I brought my wife and three of my boys. When we walked in, the first thing I noticed is there was one other table. We pretty much had this giant restaurant to our self. My wife ordered a peach margarita, I got my usual Cadillac margarita on the rocks no salt. I asked about the Taco special, the guy said they were street tacos. He said they are smaller than normal. I've been to Mexico many times and I've been to sooo many Mexican restaurants, I was excited as I love a good street taco. The server (also bartender and owner) explained to me we had a choice of Carne Asada, pastor, carnitas or chicken. What we ordered: Cadillac margarita on the rocks no salt Peach margarita Five tacos Pastor Five tacos Carne Asada Five chicken tacos Five tacos Carnitas The drinks arrived pretty quickly, and were good. The Cadillac margarita did not have the signature Grand Marnier float on top. I'm not sure what type of tequila he used, but it was just an average Margherita compared to the ones I've been drinking lately. When the food arrives, we noticed that the tacos had very little meat on them. I mentioned that The tacos or short on meat and the guy said they're street tacos. I said I had plenty of street tacos and they've never been short on meat especially for two dollars. They gave no sauce, salsa or anything. I asked about this, and the guy went and got two squeeze bottles of two different sauces. I asked about pico de gallo, and the guy said it would be $2.50. It was pretty obvious at this point why there was no one in here for the " taco Tuesday" special. It was not a special it was just an excuse to give small tacos with very little meat. Small, Double layer tortilla with almost no meat, no tomatoes/salsa... So disappointing. Just look at the pictures. I have tried many taco Tuesday specials, this is the first time disappointed. I hope the owner reads this. Consider looking at other restaurants and how they do their taco Tuesday. It's designed to bring people in, generate new customers, reward existing customers with a special, and is similar to happy hour. You can read Wikipedia and other websites and the purpose. But even if there was no other information available, you would think that giving such a small amount of meat with a huge amount of starch, that you would at least honor a request of some thing to fill the tortilla, without charging. I am sure it would've been no issue to bring a little bit more meat for $40 price. If times are tough, being generous would generate way more business than being cheap. So after 20 tacos, my kids were still hungry. We paid the Bill (near $60) and headed over to a nearby Mexican restaurant that had a real two dollar tacos to to fill up me and my still hungry kids. They have the correct signature Cadillac Margarita with a Grand Marnier float. Plus they don't close till 9 PM, so we knew they were near and open. We've been to four Mexican restaurants this week, I was hoping to add another restaurant to our rotation, especially since we go to Sports west every day. But we will not be back here. I do not recommend this place nor will we be back.

Fajitas were some of the best I've ever had!

Some of the best service we've ever received. Jessica and Miguel were so attentive and very kind. Came to celebrate my grandpas birthday and 10/10 recommend. Food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor.

This is such a cozy and unique restaurant. Everything we ordered was something I had never tried before. We started with cocktails. They have a big variety of margaritas, beer, and other signature drinks. For our appetizers we ordered the blue corn bread which is served on a mini cast iron skillet. This corn bread is sweet, but also has some spicy chili flavor. We shared the fish ceviche with tuna. It was so fresh and the flavors were out of this world. Tangy, sour, a little spicy. For my main I went with the special for that weekend which was the Sea Bass. So flaky and buttery. It was served on top of a kind of fried rice. Overall great experience here. I would prepare for a 2hr experience so that you can enjoy all meals equally!

On my last visit, which happened to be my birthday, I had made reservations for my party of four at 6pm. We were seated and given water and what they consider to be chips (they are baked corn tortillas - not our favorite, but its fine). Our server came and we gave her our appetizer order which was papas bravas (these are delicious), guacamole (would be better if the "chips" were good, and two orders of the queso asado because this is our absolute favorite thing they have on the menu. This is served with tortillas and it is outstanding. Our appetizers are delivered and what was brought to us is definitely not the queso asado, even though our server is adamant that it is. We had to basically argue with her that what she served us is not what we ordered, only for her to leave and come back with some story about how she ordered us the lunch queso instead because the buttons are close to each other. So the queso finally arrives and because it was rushed, it was not as outstanding as it usually is, but we are starving, so we eat it anyway. For entrees my husband and I decided to share the prime skirt steak cooked medium, my brother ordered the NY steak cooked medium rare and my dad ordered the oven roasted chicken. The skirt steak was way over cooked and lacked any flavor and was so tough. This is typically a well seasoned piece of meat and what we received was not that at all. My dad stopped eating his chicken a few bites in, and when we questioned him, he stated his chicken was not cooked all the way and he had lost his appetite. No one checked in on us for a long time, we didn't even receive refills on our waters. We tell our server, who by this point is pretty fed up with our table in general, and she sends over the manager who took the chicken off the bill. We are not the type who want to complain about the entire experience so we just paid our very expensive check $244 plus tip and left so disappointed. We finally walked out of the restaurant at 7:45PM, almost two hours after we had been seated. The weekend prior to this, my husband wanted to treat me to brunch, and since we had 3 positive experiences prior, we decided to give Toro Bravo a shot. An online menu from a month earlier listed a tres leches french toast and my heart was set. We arrived and they changed the brunch menu, they no longer offer the tres leches french toast. I ordered the new York steak (cooked medium) and eggs, my husband had the short rib machaca. The steak was so well done my server asked if she could replace it. I was not about to let an animal lose its life for nothing, so I ate what I could, and she discounted our check. My husband said his machaca was dry and needed some flavor/salt/salsa anything to make it better. I am not sure what has happened, if they are training new cooks, lack management oversight or if they just don't care anymore. I'll be taking a long break from this place, it's not worth the price anymore.

The bread arrives with that perfect crusty exterior and airy interior that holds up beautifully once it's "drowned" in the vibrant, slightly spicy tomato-chile sauce. Overall, it's a spot that delivers on flavor, authenticity, and hospitality, making it a standout choice for anyone craving great Mexican comfort food. Will definitely be coming back.

The coconut lime one surprised me... SO good. They really went above and beyond here. The vibe can be chill and relaxing, but I've also heard they turn it up with a live band (not sure on the schedule, but I'm coming back to catch that). Great food, great drinks, and a spot that hits both vibes. Gina has to be the best bartender ever!

It was a bit overwhelming, but the bartender was so helpful! Which by the way, that pregnant bartender needs a raise! She was so pleasant, knowledgeable, and running around serving everyone there with excellent service! I'm very picky about my Mexican food and boy oh boy was it delicious! My fav was the street corn, I got 2 orders! Would recommend for ANY occasion! Will be back there soon with more friends!
