I've been to this Mexican restaurant multiple times and I really enjoy their food. My favorite dish is the Asada fries, which is my go-to. great for sharing between my boyfriend & i. The Guy staff member there is always friendly and treats customers with respect, which makes the atmosphere welcoming! The place is always clean, which is something I appreciate. The only downside is that sometimes the wait for the food can be a bit long, around 15 minutes. It seems like they are short staffed which is understandable for the long wait time. The first time I came here was last year and honestly I had a bad time with my boyfriend and grandma. The guy that helped us was very rude and got our order wrong and I have just never had someone that was that rude to us. So it left a bad taste in our mouth and my boyfriend never wanted to go back. However I liked the burrito. The most recent times I went was within these 2 past weeks. I was helped by Alexis she was the sweetest and so nice ! The place was full and everyone seemed like they had everything they needed aswell as the people that were coming in. She was very welcoming and we had a good little convo. I went again maybe the week after and this older woman helped me. I believe you guys had just opened but she was very helpful. I went again Monday the 17th and that guy was there this time. I had no issue I was just glad he didn't help me. He was yelling at the worker Kayla, who seemed like she was fairly new. If not new then she was very frazzled and he was not giving any leniency. I waited for 10 minutes, which is normal, I was getting the taquito plate since it was the deal for the day. But he was yelling at her to do one thing, then telling her to do another right after. I felt really bad when she seemed like she was honestly doing the best she can when it was packed. It was very full that day. Kayla and Alexis are the two sweetest workers there. I will be going back only for their service even if I don't see them. The kitchen works immaculate. I also want to say, they work fast and the food comes out soo good. Good enough to fulfill a craving but if you're going for authentic Mexican you might want to look elsewhere. I ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo and the girl taking my order seemed very new and unfamiliar with the menu, but she was very sweet and I could tell she was genuinely trying. As far as the food goes, the chilaquiles was decent but the beans had a strange lingering coffee flavor and the portion of rice was super tiny. For the price, I can't really complain tho. It's very upsetting to see bad reviews from one of our favorite places to eat. With that being said, our family has been going there over the past 8 years, and we've gotten to know the owner Lori, she and her staff work really hard to put out great tasting food, plus the atmosphere and everyone is always very hospitable and helpful, and there hasn't been one time that we've had bad food. We get so tired of all the fast food that their food is like having a home cooked meal. Some of our favorites are, posole, asada plate, taquito plate, their tacos, burritos, beans & rice, chicken quesadilla, papa tacos, huevos ala Mexicana, chicken bowl and their tasty jalapeño toreados, and they have the big flower tortillas which we get with all our meals upon request of course. We got the Green Chicken Enchiladas plate, Carne Asada fries plate, and a small refillable soda for $22.16. We have previously tried their street tacos on Taco Tuesday, Chilaquiles plate, and beef enchiladas. I am a huge fan of enchiladas, and am so happy to find a place that offers very similar taste to a cafe in Newport Beach. Everything was delicious and seasoned well. Just finished eating at si como no. I have been a loyal customer since they opened but after tonight no more. Maybe there is new management, I dont know. Ordered two meals. Taco plate n pozole. The tacos came right out but the beans n rice were not hot. My wife didnt complain. My meal hadnt shown up after 15 min so i inquired and they brought it right out. The soup was not even warm. I took it back and ordered the taco plate. This was much better except beans and rice were not heated. Not sure why they arent serving hot food. 4 people working there and theyvwere all just standing around laughing and talking. The front door was filthy. Not what bothered me the most is that I tasted the soup before returning it and watched them dump it right back into the big pot that they will serve others from. Very unsanitary not that anyone there cares. Too bad Buddy doesnt appear to work there anymore. This was once a well run restaurant. I don't plan on returning. read more

The restaurant has only been open for a few days so that is the reason I am not giving it a one. The service was astronomically slow. Hour and 10 minutes to get to fish tacos and a drink. Out of morbid curiosity is the reason I waited so long. The fish was covered in massive breading. The funny thing is after waiting this long the food wasn't even what I would consider hot. The restaurant is very filthy. Very sad considering they just opened. I'm not sure if they're just completely understaffed or this is the way they do business. I did not see a grade for the health department in the window. Being a new business in a new community one with think the owner or manager would be out shaking hands asking how your food was or explaining why the wait is so long. No such thing happened. Don't be fooled by all the negative reviews! This place is the best! I moved in a year ago and have been ordering from here any time I'm hungry for quality Mexican Food. Cant count how many times I've ordered through uber and door dash. Today I stopped in to say hello and picked up my usual order. The staff was very friendly and even recognized my order! I should ads that they were wearing masks, so I know someone was complaining about that, but that wasn't my experience. Without a doubt they have the best Asada Fries in the area, I know when I order that plate will fill me up for the day. The prices might seem "high" compared to Alberto's or something, but quality is what counts and to me it's worth the money every time. You'd be paying close to 10 bucks for a combo from some fast food restaurants anyway, why not get your money's worth? I have never had a bad experience with this restaurant, both dine in and ordering out. The one time I had a slight issue with my order, the manager understood and offered me a replacement plate without hassle. If you're a walk-in order you do have to try to be patient because they're a popular restaurant and those peak hours get hectic for them since everything is cooked fresh/made to order.
