This is in the old Pie Hole location, most of the interior hasn't changed except for the removal of the Pie Hole name. Seating inside is limited, for about 15 people. But then, this is more of a quick eat place. The pizza is quite good for thin crust, crisp but not the ultra thin style of Mista. The slices are much larger than a usual slice, consider it to be about 1.5 slices. I had the slice and soda special for $5. It is nice to have a quick eat place in boystown again. read more

Honestly surprising how good the pizza is here. It pretty much a hole in the wall style joint, but it really delivers. It's more New York style pizza, which can be a great change up in Chicago. You can do whole pizzas, or pizza by the slice. If you get a slice, they give you a massive liege that is more or less 1/4 a pizza. They open late, so it's a great option if you've been out drinking in the area. read more

The pizza at Si-Pie Pizzeria we had was thin crust, now I know Chicagoans love their deep-dish, but I promise you, try it out, you won't regret it. The man running the store at the time (not sure if he was the owner) was super kind, and had great customer service skills. Made you feel at home, and offered us free beverages. We also had wings, which were juicy and had a lot of meat on them, the flavor of the sauce (bbq) was also delicious. The price is fair, they usually have a deal in the window. This pizzeria is different than most pizzerias you've probably tried in the past. Many pizza restaurants tend to use frozen dough, I can't pinpoint exactly what it is about frozen pizza dough but it just tastes different to me, it's not as fresh, and it has a very peculiar taste to it. As soon as I took a bite from a slice of Si-Pie pizza I knew immediately that the pizza dough wasn't frozen and this restaurant immediately gained a loyal customer. Not only is the pizza dough amazing but the ingredients are also fresh therefore making the pizza fenomenal! Pizza was good , dough was somewhere between regular thickness and thin crust, lots of cheese and pepperoni. I literally had to ask the cashier if he put 2 slices in my plate by mistake, and he said "No, that's one slice!" For 4.99 a slice (soda drink included) you can't beat that! In my attempts to find food on a Sunday late night, I stumbled upon Si-Pie Pizzeria on Yelp. I decided to give it a try and placed an order for delivery: a medium sausage pizza and 1 L diet coke. The delivery guy showed up 40 minutes later with my pizza as well as 1 12 oz can and 1 20 oz bottle of Coke. Not exactly my order. I called the place, and there apparently had been some mix up. They were going to send someone with correct drink and were willing to offer a free appetizer for the inconvenience. Eventually, someone showed up with 2 1 L bottles of diet coke, which was a solid recovery great on their part and, for me, attests to good customer service. The pizza was pretty solid overall. The sausage, sauce, and cheese were really good. Everything tasted on point. I wish there was a bit more cheese but though the amount on there was more than sufficient. The thin crust also was good with a nice bite to it. The one aspect for improvement would be the 'foldability' factor. The slice has a nice ability to fold though not the best due to the slightly thicker, crispier crust. Overall, Si-Pie was a decent find and I would probably order from here again. read more

Wow! What a great place! We just moved to the area and will defiantly be back. It's a nice two block walk from our apartment. It's open late and great food. We ordered the "Buster" , the best pizza we have had in a long time. The sauce was just right had the tomato taste but not sweet and right amount of seasoning. The giardiniera was baked into the pizza and fresh capicola made the each slice a perfect bite. We actually finished a pizza the first time ever in 6yrs :) Simon made you feel welcomed and at home. I got a medium of their BBQ chicken pizza and 6 piece buffalo wings. This was more than enough for my wife and me. Wings were very basic but wasn't expecting much for a pizza place so not disappointed with that. Ranch was unoriginal, used some I had at home instead. Their BBQ sauce is fantastic, however, I could count on two hands the amount of chicken chunks that were on the entire pizza. It was as if a child with a half-handful put chicken on my pizza. One thing that really irks me about restaurants, especially pizza restaurants, is when they skimp you on the meat. I'm not asking u to litter the pizza with meat, but this was a clear indication of either being extremely stingy or lack of care. As a Chicagoan I am confused on how a city that is known for its pizza doesn't have a pizzeria on every block like New York. I am shocked there are any bad reviews here, but I am sure even the best places make mistakes or that some people are never satisfied.
