The hot food burnt the inside of the styrofoam and I refused to eat the rest of it because I'm sure I would be eating the materials of styrofoam. Will NOT be back again for dine in or take out. Wonderful little place. Be careful, if you blink walking by, you'll miss it. Was greeted quickly at the door and shown right to our table. Service was quick and courteous and our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu I was struggling with. The only downside I could see was the portions were quite small for a meal and compared to the cost. Not that big of a deal, I ordered more and the kind service more than made up for it. Very clean establishment as well. The windows and mirrors were absolutely streak free (inside and out) where surrounding store fronts seemed to not have been washed in months. The quiet music and pleasant atmosphere combined with the great service make this a place to enjoy a long lunch or a quiet dinner. Do order a few courses though if you're hungry. read more

After a full day of running errands, my friend and I decided to pick up take out from here. Calling in and making the order was easy and it only took 20 mins for it to be ready. I ordered the eggplant basil w beef, it was quality. Big chunks of very fresh Asian eggplant, good sized pieces of tender beef slices, plus lots of garlic and basil. So flavorful. My friends each had the Thai fried rice, one with chicken & extra egg and the other with chicken and shrimp. The fried rice was a little bit salty, but lots of meat and onion etc. For dessert we each had an order of mango with sticky rice, you probably could share this with 2-3 small eaters, but we are little piggies :) I only ate half of my dinner so I wasn't being too bad! This is the second time I've come here and the first time was a very long time ago. It's Friday night and obviously everyone was eating out. If you do not know where this place is, you might think you are lost but it's right behind All American Steakhouse. This place gets packed. So the parking was full but to our delight, there was one table for us. For drinks, we ordered the mango smoothies for the kids and that was really good. If you order for small kids, plan on ordering 1 that you can split in two because it comes in a tall glass which is perfect for two. For starters, we got the shrimps rolls and the coconut shrimp Soup. Both were served fast, pipping hot and packed of flavours and aroma. As for the main dish, we got the Thai Rice, which was delicious and fresh but might need more pineapples. We also got the chicken pad Thai. My husband said it was good. I like the fact that it wasn't too sweet and doesn't taste like ketchup. I got the seafood dish and to my delight, it was packed with different kind and not overcooked seafood. This was served with a bowl of rice. For the kids, we got the Pad See Ewe beef. The noodles were nice, the beef tender and they serve this dish with normal Broccoli instead of the Chinese Broccoli that I have grown accustom to. Eventhough the restaurant was packed, the service and the presence of the manager and servers were always there. The manager interacted with the kids and asked about our meal, the waitresses were always passing in case you need anything. However, the slowest thing we got was the tab. I will have to say this will be my go to Thai food spot for now on when I get that craving! Man that drunken noodle with beef Thai spicy (yes I love spicy foods!) was straight on point and the portion size I was eaten on it the entire night! Usually you will get a small portion but still have to pay "dinner" prices but not Siam! It's grown up portions for someone like me who likes to eat and take leftovers home! Hit the spot very much! And there sticky rice with mango! Damn is all I can say! Only down (2) things I didn't like wasn't given any water when I came in even though it was like 90+ degrees outside! And the coconut shrimp soup had like (3) shrimp in it which was surely not enough. But other than that I will definitely be back!! read more

I was recently introduced to Thai cuisine and Siam Bistro came highly recommended. My wife had never had Thai before so she agreed to try some after how much I told her I liked it. We went to Siam Bistro and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was quaint and modern. The staff immediately greeted us with a smile when we came in and we were seated immediately. We ordered the Pad Cee Eew with shrimp and the Red Curry with chicken. Both were amazing!! Full of flavor at just the right temperature, texture and spice. For dessert we had the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango. This was another delight for our palate. The intermingling of sweet sticky rice, mango and cream was mesmerizing. My wife and I both agreed that this blows Americanized Chinese food out of the water. The thing that sealed the deal for us was that we found out they deliver! Pretty good across the board. I've sampled a number of the curries and been satisfied with all of them. I've yet to try the drunken noodle. The pad thai is not in the same class as that of Mai Thai (which I think still has the best pad thai anywhere), but it's better than what you'll find elsewhere and makes for a satisfying meal. All in all, nice atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Happy to come again and again. The only potential downside is the seating is a tad tight, so if it gets busy you might be waiting a while for your table. read more

My 3rd time here in Siam Bistro (Thai Resto) and it never ceases to amaze me. Each time I come here with my husband there's always a new revelation! Wonton soup is excellent! Spring rolls are super crispy and hot, and salmon roll is simply a gourmet of all spring roll.It's like sushi rolled into a rice flour wrapper and deep fried, very creative dish. Panang curry is good, and husband ordered beef with basil sauce, excellent. Last time I was there I ordered Tilapia with eggplant in Thai sauce, this is a very good option if you like fish. I was sad to be moving to Woodbridge and not having easy access to my favorite Thai restaurant in Falls Church anymore UNTIL my husband ordered from Siam Bistro. We usually order delivery, and it has never taken more than 45 minutes. We always get the spring rolls, the green chicken curry, and alternate between chicken ka prow or eggplant basil with chicken. This has been our favorite restaurant in the area for the last seven or eight years, I'm surprised I haven't already written a review! Some of our favorites: The pad kee mau (drunken noodle) and the papaya salad - ordered "Thai hot." (Watch out, they mean it, it's HOT! You can also ask for spicy or very spicy -- and they have a ton of Thai condiments if you want to season at your table. My favorite is the chilis in fish sauce.) My three year old is also addicted to the less-spicy pad kee mau. The "shrimp blanket" appetizer is delish, too. If I don't order the pad kee mau, I'll usually get a curry - and have never been disappointed. The serving sizes are generous, and we usually have leftovers (bonus!). They have a "specials" menu that changes every few weeks, and those are tasty, too. The chive pancake appetizer and Lao noodle soup stand out as favorites, if those are ever rotated in again. If we order dessert there, we can never pass up the mango with sticky rice. Yum. The sticky rice with the salty coconut and sweet mango is perfection. The staff is always friendly and accommodating when we're at their restaurant. They have high chairs, and the servers are super sweet with little kids. And when we order takeout, it's always ready in 15-20 minutes. We've spent time in Thailand and Laos, and we can vouch for the authenticity. :D We'd love more Lao items on the menu (either real menu or secret menu!). I think some sai oua (Lao sausage) as an appetizer would be a hit! Everyone who's tried it here has loved it. :) We love it at Siam Bistro, and look forward to many more meals there! read more

I came here with my son for lunch. Thai cuisine is always our preferred food when eating out. This place was on our list of Thai restaurants to check out. Food is very good though I prefer KaProw with no onions. The spicy beef salad is delicious. Service needs improvement. The 2 women were unfriendly. Neither one of them ever smiled or seemed pleasant. Having to ask for refills is annoying. They never checked or asked if our meal was ok. I felt rushed as they took my son's plate before I was finished. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Siam Bistro is my go to Thai place. The service can be slow in restaurant, but, the staff is very nice and efficient. They also remember their customers which is an aspect of this whole scene that I like as you can tell through my other reviews. I have been eating here for years. When I was single, I had my obligatory Friday night meal while watching Ghost Whisperer... Chicken Satay, Thai Salad, and Pad Thai with Chicken, oh, and Thai Iced Tea. This is perhaps the best pad thai in the area as far as I am concerned. As I got older and not so pitiful, I started ordering more from the menu and on days other than Friday nights. My favorite dish here is the Panang Curry with Chicken; got the boyfriend stuck on it as well. Mom is strictly Pad Thai but she has been brave enough to try some of the food I get. Recently we went there for my birthday and I forgot my wallet. I didn't even know I left it... not but half an hour after getting home, there was a knock at the door (about 8:30 or 9 pm) and it was a nice gentleman from the restaurant. They looked at my license, saw my address, and delivered it to me! Sadly we didn't have any cash so I couldn't tip him, but we ordered Thai a few weeks later and he was the delivery guy that day. He remembered I was the one who left the wallet and we talked and laughed about it and I was able to 'reward' him with some extra cash. We just went again the other night and the staff remembered us. So I guess we are 'regulars' by now... this, the best Thai in the area as far as I am concerned all around... LOVE IT. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch and were very pleased with the food's flavors and generous portion size. Thai tea was very sweet and creamy. Delicious, however it's not the best I've ever had. I just wouldn't feel right without ordering one in a thai restaurant! Thai Iced Coffee: was very sweet and creamy as well. This was my first time trying one and it is not at all like American iced coffee. It almost tasted like a liqueur. Still yummy, but I will stick with the tea next time. The Tom Kha soup was creamy, yet very light and pleasantly sweet with a hint of spice. I am a freak for anything coconut and I will be back for this stuff. Our entrees were huge! With the Drunken Noodles I whimped out and got medium, but I should've got it extra spicy. No kick, but it was still yummy. I could only plow halfway through the dish with the help of my boyfriend. Probably because I already shoveled in so much of his crab fried rice. CRAB IN EVERY BITE. Not too salty or greasy. Perfect. All in all, we were pleased with the tasty food and plenty of leftovers. Avoid this place unless you like FRIED LONG BLACK HAIR in your food!!!!! This has been my go to until now for Thai. Yesterday I ordered fried rice and found a LONG BLACK HAIR IN IT. YUCK!!!! I immediately took a pic and threw the rest away. I called Siam and told them I found a hair. The lady on the phone got really quiet. I then said "hello?" She then got someone else and they said the owner would give me a credit or remake. Heck no! I want my money back. She said I could come back to get cash or it would go back on my card in 2 days. I told her I was coming back and bringing both orders back. She asked that I bring it back. No issues, we don't want it, won't eat it. I get there and they had amnesia or something. I showed them the hair pic as I mentioned I would on the phone. She acted like she couldn't see it. (You can see it clear in the pic can't you?) Anyhow, I had to point it out and she tried to say it was multiple hairs LMAO! No dummy, it's one long hair. Then tried to say it was curly and wasn't theirs. They wanted to ARGUE with me about it!!! I said I know you're not trying to say it's my hair or that it was planted. I do not have black or curly hair. Even if I did, the hair came from the food, not my head! They were acting like they didn't want to give me my money. I told them I would file a dispute with my bank. She went to the register real quick and gave me the exact amount no taxes back. I came away from the average tasting Thai food with a feeling of hunger and being cheated out of my money.
