Enjoyed a very good lunch at this new spot. The menu is extensive and the food is well-priced. The decor is very nicely done. We had stir-fried dishes and curry dishes; all were quite tasty. The only quibble...You order your food as if you were in a fast-food place, get your beverages yourself from dispensers (as well as silverware, napkins, etc.). A server DOES deliver your food to your table (a la PEI WEI). It's just the ambiance suggests a more upscale restaurant and it jars with the way the place operates. I had chicken Pad Thai to go which is what I always order on my first try at a Thai restaurant. I'm sad to say it lacked flavor and was the most bland Thai food I have ever had. I had been here a few times, and honestly did enjoy their food. I brought my boyfriend to try and he was charged his credit card 3x for the same meal. When we when in person and it was just 2 charges, we spoke with Kathy and she wasn't really apologetic or even understanding and rushed us out the restaurant and said she will call us, which she did and stated to wait 2 days, next day a 3rd charge and the bank was call and stated nothing can be till it cleared, spoke with Kathy and she stated to wait 2 more days since she couldn't do anything until it cleared, once again she wasn't very pleasant and even sounded annoyed that we called. Sadly after this experience we won't be going back, very poor customer service. read more

They are absolutely and utterly delicious!! I HIGHLY recommend the "spider roll" with the fried rice! . The 'fried krab' was absolutely delicious and I added the spicy Mayo which made it taste even better than immaculate. I highly recommend this restaurant!! We came to Siam Gulf for a quick bite to eat before a movie. This place was beyond expectations! Both the food and the staff were wonderful! We are so happy that we discovered Siam Gulf! We eat a vegetarian diet and were easily accommodated. First, we had the vegetable soup. The vegetable broth was delicious and the vegetables were very fresh! We then had edamame and two avocado sushi roles which were both excellent The portions were very large. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the owners were extremely friendly and accomodating! Two things, one the price is absurd for how little of a portion it is and two, they tasted really off putting and nothing like crab Rangoon should taste. My favorite is spicy salmon! I've had every sushi place in Sarasota area and I am always incredibly pleased with delicious food at a great price point and the best customer service. Went for lunch before a spring training game. My husband and I ordered Thai Food while our friend ordered Sushi. We ordered off a large menu posted on the walls around the window ala fast food style. Pick a protein and then an Asian or Japanese style. There were few people ordering so it went fast. Could be cumbersome if there was a line or large parties. Recommend that the owners consider placing a large menu by the door so people could decide before they get to the window or paper menus people could use at the table and then have one or two go to the window.
