This restaurant was such a great find for vegan options! All of our food had great flavor and we cleared our plates easily! Tofu had a great texture too. Veggie tempura was perfectly fried and super crunchy!! Our waitress was so great, very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed!! The place is beautifully decorated too, has such a cozy feel, like you're eating at someone's house!! Definitely looking forward to coming back

I stopped by this restaurant for the first time tonight and was able to get a seat right away! It seems like a smaller family-owned restaurant and had that comfortable/casual atmosphere. My server was very attentive and friendly. She was able to fill up my water multiple times throughout the dinner. All the food was delicious, but I especially loved the soup. It was perfect for a chilly day. And if you have room for dessert, the mango sticky rice is such a classic. I look forward to coming back and dining with them again!

I am on a mission to try all of Milwaukee's pad see ewe with tofu to be specific. This pad see ewe is a lil sweeter, saucier but not wet, tofu is cubed and crispy but not fried, wok hei was faint, but just the right amount of vegetables. The Tom yum reminded me of Vietnamese canh chua which is always welcomed. This was a great dinner for 2 with no left overs and so affordable! I'll be back the next time I'm grocery shopping at cermak.

Cute little spot. Liked the long booth seating. Quick and friendly service. Been looking for some good pad Thai and I loved it. Level 3 spice even had my nose running a bit! Also got the fresh spring rolls and they were great. Will come back again!

    Kapoon, great flavor!

Friendly, fast and flavorful! Menu prices are great! Decor and area is nice and clean!

I decided to close out another bookmark and I stopped here for lunch and to my amazement the dining room is still closed so it's take out only. The menu has a lot of good sounding items but the Thai chicken wings sounded good because I have never had them and I got an order of egg rolls. The egg rolls came in an order of three so I expected tiny egg rolls and they were with a side of orange dipping sauce. The egg rolls were ok with rice noodles and some fine veggies. The Thai chicken wings looked pathetic because a lot of the batter was missing like they were thrown around and they were tiny wings. A peanut dipping sauce came with the wings which was good. The wings were so small and had very little meat on them like Cornish hen size wings, had I known that I never would have ordered them. I came, I saw and I ate but I'm not very impressed with my food so I'm probably one and done at this place.

Amazing down to earth mom and pop. You know it's authentic when the decoration is minimalist and only manned by one person. With that said, ambiance is simple and you're here for the food. Service is fast, friendly and great, especially with only one waitress On to the meat of the review, the food is truly great. I would recommend the noodles- got pad see ew, Singapore noodles, basil fried rice. Red curry was not good. Has all the right flavor but it was way too watery. I can't wait to try the other noodles

Siam express thai food is an awesome Thai restaurant. I have frequently gotten lots of comforting Thai food from here and have absolutely loved it. I love the pad thai (chicken is great, tofu is even better) with the bean sprouts. The noodles are tasty and the bean sprouts add an extra crunch to the mouth feel. Adding crab Rangoon as an appetizer is a great idea, I love the soft and crunchy edges. The street noodles are also a great entree. Definitely give this restaurant a try for your Thai food needs.

Some of the best Thai food we have had in a long time. We started eating so quickly that we e forgot take a picture before we stared eating. We had Tim is soup, yumwoonsen and Singapore noodles. The food was perfect with a perfect spice level. The service was excellent as well. Make sure to try this place - it was great!

I was craving Thai Food and after reading several reviews decided to check out Siam Thai. I was a bit leery when we walked in at 6p on a Saturday and there was no one else in the restaurant. It took several minutes before we could catch someone's eye and get seated. It was so cold inside the restaurant, I had to keep my jacket on, but some hot tea helped me warm up. We started with the Crab Rangoon which were super disappointing. They were lukewarm and when we bit into them it was like biting into an air puff; there was hardly any filling in them. The little bit that was in there tasted good though. For entrees we ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice, Siam Supreme with Chicken and the Green Curry with Tofu. I'm not sure if we just went on a bad night but the food was just ok; definitely not great. The best dish was the Pineapple Fried Rice. Service was initially slow, but it got better once the owner arrived. The owner is so sweet and really tried to connect with every customer.

Some of the worst wine available and cheaper by the bottle than for a glass. Nope. Service was quick and often attentive, but we were not asked how things were. I may have told them the food was cold. Server never said her name and was a bit quiet. It was hard to engage her at times. Fish salad was good. Mixed greens. Decent dressing. Fish was a smidge dry. Fish tacos were good per my friend. Pad Thai was okay. Weeping Tiger was a bit cold and the ribeye was tough, fatty and overcooked. I ordered medium but it was medium well at the least. And I was only given a butter knife. Could barely cut it. I sense it was flank steak rather than an actual ribeye based on the texture and grain of the meat. The sauce that came with it was great. Rice was a bit cold. The tres leches cake was very good. Tiramisu was so so but I'm not a fan in general. Decor is nice. But plastic water cups and cafeteria flatware wrapped in paper napkins felt too casual at dinner. Guess it keeps the price point down. It feels like they could make a few minor changes and bring in a crowd. Maybe flameless candles and bud vases with flowers on the tables. A nicer wine list (the beer list is pretty long!) and some more dinner items would be nice. Many items are more like lunch choices than dinner. We would try it again but would change our orders according to the experience we had. Maybe I'd stick to a sandwich or pasta.

If you are celiac or gluten-free, I don't recommend ever eating here. While they have a dedicated gluten-free menu with options for changing things out, on two separate occasions (of the 4 times I've been there) they've made a mistake. It puts you in a challenging and uncomfortable situation when you are curious about something actually being gluten-free. I know for myself, you don't want to insinuate that you don't trust your server! My most recent visit there I had the shittake/vegetable Ramen with rice noodles. I explained that I can't have soy sauce because it contains wheat. I explained that if they have tamari that they could check if it is wheat free because I often can have tamari instead of soy sauce. I explained that I can't have anything that contains wheat. My server informed me that she would make sure that this was gluten-free, that the rice noodles would be replacing the Ramen noodles. While eating I was curious if the noodles were not gluten-free, and I was informed that they do seem to be rice noodles. We were also sure to order the tofu as steamed rather than fried so that it would not have cross-contamination. (Due to first glutened experience) Later that night and the following day I can report that what I ate was not in fact, rice noodles or gluten free, and I have been glutened. On a previous occasion, I ordered the fresh spring rolls with a sauce that I was informed was gluten-free with tofu. While already eating this, the server came over and informed me that the tofu was not gluten-free, and had been fried. I think that there may be some lack of understanding what gluten-free means and how it impacts people generally in most of the food service industry. I believe they did their best to try to accommodate. That being said if you are celiac or gluten intolerant, please steer clear! Very unfortunate because it was tasty. I understand that as someone who needs to eat gluten-free that I am taking a risk by eating at a restaurant that is not gluten-free forward. Although they have a dedicated allergy menu, two out of the four times I've eaten there it hasn't made a difference. Great restaurant, not great for celiac.
