I enjoy eating here because the restaurant offers delicious, fresh Thai food. I have ordered food to carry out and eaten in the restaurant, both are great. Joy, the main employee, greets diners and seats us. There is a large seating area, and I have always been seated right away. The parking can be difficult, but there are side streets that are accessible easily. If you sit in the restaurant, they have a small spice crate that they place on the table, and I recommend using them. I have ordered a variety of things here, but my two favorites are: 1) Massaman Curry - This curry has a very unique flavor and is super tasty. It comes with any protein you want, a coconut base, potatoes, and peanuts. Served with white rice. Large quantity. 2) Pad Thai - Served with fresh sprouts on the side, a protein, and pad thai noodles. Also a large quantity. Once when I was packing my leftovers, I asked Joy if she could pack me a small extra white rice container to eat with my curry. She put it in my bag and she did not charge me anything. Very sweet! I would highly recommend this restaurant. TIP: Please be careful with ordering delivery. My boyfriend once ordered me food, and their delivery service was outside my building, but after a few minutes of just walking around aimlessly, they left. They did not call me to even tell me my food was outside. I tried to run out before he left but it was too late. I had to call Joy to track the driver and even when she called, the driver was not picking up her calls. I had to pick up the food later that night myself. I do not want to dock this place points based on this one instance because the food is phenomenal and fresh! Even after this happened with the driver, Joy was very kind and apologetic. First of all the staff are very kind and gentle, I have never seen someone smile and laugh so much as a server. Thank you for bringing joy to our table. I ordered the pad see eiw with tofu, an absolutely fantastic dish. Tofu fried to perfection, noodles nicely done what a dream. Also tried the red curry with tofu, not too spicy but with a thick and consistent flavor throughout. They brought us more rice for the curry which was nice. I am absolutely ecstatic about my take-out order tonight. A couple years ago a friend introduced me to this amazing soup called Tom kha! It's an amazing Thai soup often referred to as a creamy coconut soup. I've had it at a couple places in town now and tonight their's blew me away. It was absolutely heavenly! Often the restaurant will ask you how spicy you want it, they did not however, I felt it had good spice for someone who doesn't like spicy food. Next time I will see if I can get mine a little spicier. I also decided to try the pineapple fried rice. This rice was absolutely outstanding! The amazing flavors from the shrimp and the chicken to the delicious pineapple and the cashew nuts. This is a fried rice you will want to eat all the time! The third dish I decided to order was the beef pepper steak. This was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the gravy sauce. There was plenty of beef and mushrooms, onions and green pepper. Between the three choices I order tonight I could've kept eating all of them all night long! Gluttony can be my downfall! Overall I was very impressed. I've had many of my coworkers tell me about this place for the last year. Tonight I decided I would grab some takeout and I'm sure glad I did. Siam Thai serves flavor and freshness with every entree, whether I dine in or carry out. If I choose to dine in, Joy, the head waitress, greets us with a friendly smile. While I have been meaning to expand my palate and try new things, I cannot get over how great the massaman curry, pad Thai, and pad see ew taste. The massaman curry dish comes with white rice and is a coconut curry base with potatoes, protein of choice, and peanuts. Pad Thai is also a personal favorite because of the fresh sprouts. Lastly, I like the wide noodles in the pad see ew, a dish loaded with broccoli and protein of choice. I rotate between these dishes every few weeks, and I personally always go for the chicken. I did recently try their pot stickers, which were also very tasty! I am giving this restaurant four stars because I did use their delivery option once during the winter and had difficulty getting my food. I had to drive back later to the restaurant because the driver did not come back. I don't want to give this restaurant a bad score just based on that one experience because they do offer quality food. read more

Siam Thai is located near Miller Park. There is free 1 hr parking right across the street making it convenient to drive. The ambience is authentic. When you enter there are many green plants and Thai custom decor. Our server was the cutest woman; she was so kind and was always smiling. When the food came out it had great flavors in all of our dishes! We got red curry with tofu, pad kee mao, and pad thai, all medium spicy. I highly recommend all of these dishes! Just know that that the pad kee mao has thinner noodles not the fat wide ones at other Thai restaurants, but the flavor is the same. The only thing I did not enjoy was the the Thai Iced Tea. It was wayyyy to sweet and I asked for more milk to cancel out the sugar but it did not help, so I would avoid that drink unless you like drinking sugar! read more

I ordered the spring rolls, Tom kha soup, and Singapore noodles with pork (I adore a good Singapore noodle and they're hard to find, so I broke my usual of ordering pad Thai as my judgement dish for new Thai places). To start: the decor is lovely, and even though there's only two tables at this restaurant right now, service has been fantastic. Parking was a bit of a nightmare and I'm just praying I don't get a ticket on my way out! The spring rolls were good but the sauce has too much fish sauce in it- it seemed like a bad batch issue, with a little less fish sauce it would have been delightful (and I LOVE fish sauce!) The Singapore noodles are fantastic. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more

After a coworker recommended this place, decided to give it a try. The online ordering is simple and easy, you can order through their website or even directly through yelp. The menu has a lot of options but isn't overwhelming. I got the pad Thai and my husband got the pad kee mao. We also got crab rangoons and tum maktang to split. Curbside delivery was easy, just drive right up and tell them you are there, she was out within a minute with our order. When we got home to eat, it was a ton of food! We had leftovers for days. I have been without one of my favorite Thai dishes for years since I discovered local restaurants won't make papaya salad without fish sauce, because they usually pre-make it ahead of time, they don't make it fresh to order. So I just gave up hope that I'd ever get really good papaya salad again in my hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Then I put the question on a local vegan Facebook page asking if people had any idea where I could find this elusive unicorn of a dish and they pointed me toward Siam Express. Sure enough, they made their papaya salad to order, fresh that day, and left out the fish sauce. DELICIOUS! And I ordered it spicy, and boy they do not fool around let me tell you! It was burning-mouth-and-tummy hot but I couldn't stop eating it. I went through quite a few facial tissues to mop up my runny nose. I swore I would only eat half and put the rest away until the next day, but I just kept going and going. So I ate about 3/4 of it before my better judgment finally took hold and I reluctantly 'fridged it. My boyfriend ordered the Massamun Curry and he said it tasted very good, but it was a little too thin, watery, runny for his taste. He likes a thicker sauce. But the flavor was right up there with the best. Next time I order from here, I'll try an entree, too, but their Papaya Salad is A1 and I'll be back again and again as long as they can make it vegan. The soups were fantastic!! I read other reviews that said that they were so I tried them. Do not hesitate! I also tried their other appetizers like egg rolls (made with rice paper) and wontons ( I believe also made with rice paper) and chicken satay (great peanut sauce!!). Super fun on a Friday night with friends (or just anytime). The best thing about Thai food is that much of it is gluten free so for those with allergies it is easy to find things you can eat. I've order from Siam on numerous occasions and I've never had a problem until today. I ordered Volcano Shrimp which states on the menu shrimp AND chicken. I only received shrimp for $3 extra, I would not have paid such an up charge for 5 shrimp when the menu clearly states: Volcano Shrimp "A deep fried lightly battered shrimp to a crispy golden brown outer surface and juicy tender white chicken strip core, served on an iron plate bed of sautéed vegetable, and glaze over with special erupting volcano sauce." The pad thai and pad see ewe taste just fine. The Khao Poon Noodle Soup is actually very good but mine lacked chicken. I also really liked their Tom Kha soup. We've ordered delivery from this place a few times now and they always seem to take longer than their estimations, took about an hour and a half on a Friday night. If you're looking for spicy food, I'm not sure this is the place for you. I'm used to being able to request a level of spiciness in my food, but the food here has never had any spiciness to it. The crab rangoons are good, but they are pretty small and have a very hard wrapper. I had the pad thai, which was good, but again not spicy. My wife had the beef and broccoli, which she said was great, but the portion was small. She usually has leftovers, but not here. Overall it was pretty good food if you're looking for a new place to try, maybe you'll have a better experience than us, but we will likely look elsewhere for our next Thai food. read more
