Our group that had dinner at the Side Street Grill for dinner after the play Coconuts Cake at the Hattiloo Theatre

The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The portion sizes were ample. The server Tricia customer service and knowledge of the menu was excellent. She served all 5 of us and never missed a beat. I will certainly be back and recommend this to everyone

So this is a great after work spot. Good food and drinks. I had the Lynchburg Lemonade (2) and what's pictured. The drinks were heavy pour. They never disappoint. The pasta was seasoned well and the cake was super moist. The manager, Richie, came around and asked how the food was and what our thoughts were about a couple of dishes. Our waitress was efficient and sweet. No complaints about anything we had not the service.

Went here tonight, haven't been to this place since maybe 2003. Food is still as I remember delicious. I can never stop laughing at the unique names of their alcoholic beverages. Will definitely be dining again in the future

I can't believe this was my first time here! A friend recommended that I try the Buffalo Egg Rolls and guess what I did?!?! Tried the Buffalo Egg Rolls! Ha! I called in my order, although they are open with social distancing seating available. It was a smooth process. I called, gave them my name, and headed that way. I was impressed with the way they are taking precautions to make sure we stay safe. Now on to the food! Ok, I initially said I would try two and then let my husband try two. But, when I took the first bite the likelihood of that happening was slim to none. The chicken was tender, they had just enough buffalo sauce, and the ranch complimented them well. Yep, they were gone before I made it home! I can't wait to try other items and actually have a dine in experience here. It seems like a pretty chill spot. I look forward to it!

Side street grill have one of the best appertirizer I've had the pleasure to taste Buffalo chicken eggrolls they were simply delicious and the drinks were good and strong just how I like them but if it wasn't for the fact we had to fight the flies away and the lobby needed a touch up on the cleaning we had a nice time

Covid strikes again. My husband and I haven't eaten here since covid began. We decided to have dinner, on pasta night. NoPE, things didnt turn out like we planned. When we entered there were probably 5 o 6 people inside, so it wasnt busy, crowded, swamped.. My sever was nice, but he had a cough that made me nervous.. I didnt see him cough around my food but he coughed from the time we sat down til we left.. Appetizers served in a disposable basket. No silverware, only plastic cutlery. I was disappointed that because of covid these drastic changes have been implemented. We still ordered the pasta because that's why we came.. It didnt come wit a salad, just pasta and a side of bread. The pasta was overcooked! The alfredo came out of a jar, didnt taste homemade. My shrimp was cooked perfectly but NO seasoning/no flavor. We just packed up, paid n left. Sadly,it will probably be another year before I return. My issue is, the consumer is affected by the pandemic just as the businesses are. Our funds are limited or budget/allotted for certain things and when a person goes to a restaurant they expect good service, good tasting good n good quality of the food purchased. Not soggy overcooked pasta, sauce outta a jar. Uuuggghhh, just do better. Mediocre at best..

I've been coming to Side Street for quite a while now and finally got around to completing a review. Let me just say - I love this place! We always save time and park right in the garage and walk across. (Parking is only $3 after 6pm) I was able to easily walk in and find a table. Tricia was our server and she was absolutely wonderful!! I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Rolls and the Cajun Pasta. They were both great. On to the drinks - this is what has always made Side Street great! They have a good variety of mixed cocktails to choose from with very interesting names. I went with the Mango Tango Martini. Excellent choice! I couldn't stop with just one..highly recommend!

I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is laid back and comfy, easy to comfortable here. I used to like the Cajun Pasta, The BBQ nachos are very good, the three later strawberry cake melts in your mouth but the heavy frosting is VERY sweet, still quite good. most of the apps are pretty darn good and overall most of their food is pretty spot on. The only hits on this spot is the parking lot across the street needs to have a better sign so you're warned that you will be towed if you park there. On my last visit, there was a broken sink in the funky bathroom but probably okay now. Bottom line: The servers and bartenders are always nice and welcoming, the food comes out quick even when they're busy and the food is very good. Anytime you are in Memphis give this place a try, you won't regret it! https://www.sidestreetgrillmemphis.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Side-Street-Grill-611062292400584/

So nice, I went twice.... in 24 hours. Before that I haven't eaten at Side Street in over 10 years. I had friends come back into town back-to-back and we all had pleasant memories of their delicious Blackened Chicken Alfredo. Once the first group confirmed it was still just as good, the other group wanted to go too! I went on Friday and Saturday and both nights were equally busy. Even with how busy they were service was on point and nothing took long. I ordered the Cajun Pasta and the Salmon Piccata - they loaded the dishes with flavor and give you a good amount (see pictures). And the price.... so nice. Both dishes were $16 and $18 respectively. A draft craft beer will run right about $4. This place is a steal! Side Street is a must try if you haven't!

The bar itself is intimate with about 8 seats, so get there early if you want one. From the outside, the place looks like a literal house, but once you step inside it's a whole vibe: low lighting, great music, and nonstop food and drinks flowing. The bartenders were amazing--friendly, attentive, and clearly know what they're doing. We ordered wings, fries, Brussels sprouts, and spring rolls, plus a spicy margarita and French 75s. Every single thing hit. The food came out quick, fresh, and piping hot, and the drinks were perfectly balanced. By the time we left around 7 PM, the place was completely packed. This spot fills up fast for a reason. Can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu. Highly recommend--this is a must-visit.

Swamp Bar has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The vibe is great, there…read moreis plenty of seating, and the inside DJ keeps the energy going. One suggestion: the front patio could really benefit from some music. Even a low-volume speaker tied into the DJ's system would help create the same experience outside without disturbing the neighborhood. The biggest challenge is parking. Street parking is risky, and several visitors have learned the hard way that tickets are easy to get. Save yourself the headache and use the parking garage across the street for about $4. It's worth it compared to a $25 parking ticket. Unfortunately, service was the weakest part of the experience. The staff appeared overworked, overwhelmed, and likely short-staffed. While that is understandable, the customer experience suffered. There was very little interaction from greeters, servers, or bartenders. Guests are instructed to wait to be seated, but there was little guidance, communication, or assistance. Long waits and a lack of acknowledgment made the visit frustrating. Food was mixed. The wings and fries were excellent--so good they disappeared before there was time to take a picture. The spring rolls, however, were under-seasoned, slightly overcooked, and only two come with an order, which felt disappointing for the price. The dipping sauces helped, but the filling could have used more flavor. The standout of the night was the Smash It cocktail. Made with Suntory Toki whiskey, basil, lemon, simple syrup, and an absinthe rinse, it was refreshing, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Easily the highlight of the visit. Would I return? Yes. But next time I'll go with adjusted expectations: eat beforehand, enjoy the atmosphere, grab a cocktail, and consider anything else a bonus. Pro Tips: Order the Smash It cocktail. The wings and fries are worth trying. Park in the garage across the street. Don't expect fast service during busy times. If you're hungry, have a snack before you arrive. Great atmosphere and cocktails, but service and parking keep it from reaching its full potential. With better staffing and a little more attention to guests, this place could easily be a 5-star experience.

The private lounge has privacy glass. It can be a VIP area, or a cigar lounge, or another venue space. There are restrooms for men and women. I was impressed with The Pocket layout. It is accessible from a wonderfully historic staircase from the Tailor's Union upstairs. I loved that at the beginning of the staircase coming down, there is an original fireplace in the brick wall of the stairwell, super original and very nostalgic to the space. Overall, I recommend this space for venues. I hope that they are bookable on Peerspace or another venue space site. Great experience.
