We sat down and got the blueberry mojito and expresso martini. The espresso martini is out of this world! It's not overly sweet but still remaining smooth and delicious! Dinner was also spectacular! We got the ceviche which was very pleasant and was a great first course. We then got the sausage artichoke pasta, which was on the later side, but still delicious with the olive oil dressing. This was a fun little stop right along the boardwalk in Venice Beach. Great spot for people watching. We thought our food was good, came quickly and we felt well attended to by our server. She was very friendly. The thousand island dressing was AWESOME. I got it for my salad. It was soooo good. The chili was decent. The fries were crispy and hot. The burger was large and juicy. What more could we ask for? The only tiny lament might be the bathrooms. They were definitely in need of attention. And one of the sinks (there is a shared sink area outside of both the men's and women's bathrooms) was out of order and covered by a dish tub. The entire thing just didn't feel clean. read more

When I told my friend that I would be visiting Venice Beach, he adamantly told me I absolutely 'have to' check out Sidewalk Cafe. So, of course, I had to take his advice. I requested a table by the street, because people watching is half the fun. (Trust me, it's entertaining!) Our servers were very knowledgeable and friendly, and checked on the table often. The food came out quickly and tasted great! The drinks were probably the favorite of the day. You especially gotta try the one that you're only allowed to order 2 max! Haha. Stopped by on a raining morning. It was kind of slow because the weather was not great. We were seated quickly and ordered our meal. I was not ok hungry and had a waffle, my wife had Huevos rancheros. My waffle was super good, her food was very average. Had way through my waffle I asked the server for some additional syrup and she brought me a little cup of honey which I poured on. Once I tasted it wow, terrible. I mentioned it to the server she offered to make another waffle and I said I didn't want to waste half a waffle cause I wouldn't eat the whole thing...well I had a half a waffle. Our experience at the Sidewalk Café was wonderful! We arrived shortly before lunchtime and had no wait to be seated. The open patio was such a lovely way to sit on the boardwalk and enjoy the scenery without being directly in the hot sun. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive! The restaurant was pretty busy, but our food came out quickly. Everything, including our drinks, was delicious! I ordered a Blue Hawaiian to drink--SO GOOD! Refreshing, and made to perfection. To eat, I had the personal 10" Venetian pizza. Honestly, some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. It was wonderful! The perfect amount of ingredients and flavors. I ate the whole thing, totally guilt free! We really enjoyed our time here, and I hope to come back the next time I'm in Venice! read more

The location was busy Saturday night. We waited about 10 mins to be seated and about 15 mins to get our food. The food was good, good size portions. The sweet pulled pork sandwich on brioche was my favorite. Just the the right amount of sauce on the pork. It was outdoor seating so it was loud. Lots of people walking by visiting vendors just outside. It smelled of weed the whole time, but it is the location of the restaurant. The server was friendly. Came to Alma on Monday with a Friend , the food was amazing ! Service was ok but when the server brought my check with a 4% charge I asked him what was that about and he said that it was a charge to pay the health insurance of the cooks but he also told me is was optional . I asked him to please remove it and charge my CC , he want to the back for like 10 min then he came back without the receipt ... I asked him for a copy of my receipt and surprised he didn't removed the 4% extra charge . This cafe was pretty chill. It was next to the sidewalk in Venice so the view was interesting. I'd advise to sit in the shade because we got hot. The service was great and our server was very attentive. They were playing the football game inside the bar area so I was able to catch up on the playoffs game. The salsa was good and the mozzarella sticks were decent. I really enjoyed the sandwiches, simple yet scrumptious. The pricing was okay for the beach. I ask for the check and they charge me a fee for my company which I didnt even bring. They came in and sat next down to me and they dont have the balls to tell them that "hey your gonna sit here you need to pay". Nor tell me "Hey you need to pay for your friends" . Pretty much all this place has going for it is a good location with a view of the ocean and boardwalk, and a dog-friendly patio. The burger is pretty bad. Seems like frozen grocery store patty that's reheated. It's also very expensive for the poor quality. The service wasn't great either. The server accidentally served my burger with side fries instead of a side salad. When I informed him, he took the plate and immediately dumped the full plate of fries in the garbage. He didn't even offer to keep the fries for the table for whoever may want, since the alternative was the garbage can, while still bringing me a side salad. Took a chance on a 3 star restaurant. How can I not give 5 stars for very good teriyaki wings, celery, a drink and tip for a $20 bill? This is in Venice with ocean and people watching views. I have paid more than this for smaller wings and a view of a television. The server was awesome, the food was fast and at the correct temperature. This place is Hell to the yeah And one of the most amazing beaches in California. This sidewalk café is a full-service restaurant on a patio that is covered with tables and a bar. The menu is best there are wings, salad, south of the border, tacos, burgers, appetizers, pizza, gourmet coffee, beer, and coffee. We have a group of seven and they play some tables together for us and allowed us to sit together and eat. It is an amazing place to sit and enjoy the hustle and bustle this pier with all of the amazing characters do you see walking around. And all of the amazing artist and all of the vendors. We ordered hamburgers, steak nachos, ribs, pizza yeah, fries, and fish and chips. The food taste like it was made by professionals that do this all day probably because they do do it all day this place is very busy but not crazy busy.
