Then their licensed hygienist Sergio Amezcua, told me I had periodontal disease and that needed to be treated right away. I was scared because I had never heard this before and let him do a deep cleaning on me which took less than 15 minutes. They billed my insurance $900 and made me pay over $300 out of pocket for what insurance didn't cover. This was an absolute scam, as deep cleaning take a minimum of 30 minutes PER QUADRANT and they did my entire mouth in less time than a regular routine cleaning. Luckily I still had a second comprehensive cleaning on my insurance and went to my previous dentist across town who verified that my teeth had no concerns, I do NOT have periodontal disease and did not need a deep cleaning. I also didn't even receive an adequate deep cleaning had I needed one so they are conducting insurance fraud to collect thousands of dollars from your insurance, pretending that you have a serious condition when you DONT. Ironically I called the office to speak with the dentist because I wasn't even sure he knew about this hygienist diagnosing and treating conditions he is not legally allowed to and coincidentally they told me that dentist "no longer worked there" even though I saw him 2 weeks prior. They said another dentist could talk to me but I attempted contact for an entire week and they just stopped answering my phone calls. This place is a completely scam and I will never go to a corporate dentist office again. In addition, all those positive reviews about Dr. Sherman (I saw him and liked him too), well he is suspiciously GONE so who knows who that have running that place now.

I understand they weren't the type needed to see between the teeth, but I was hoping for a more individualized approach rather than being told they couldn't clean my kids' teeth without taking additional X-rays. My son also has an upcoming surgery that will require another X-ray, so I'm trying to be conservative about how many he has in a year. When I expressed my concerns, I was told that getting an X-ray is "just as much exposure to radiation as eating a banana," which felt dismissive and honestly made me feel mocked. As a parent, I want to be heard and respected when making decisions for my children. I also frequently felt pressured to purchase expensive appliances and other interventions. It seemed like there was always something being recommended or sold to us, which made it difficult to feel confident in the care. We've since found a phenomenal new dentist, Dr. Hyer at Vegas Kids Dental, who listened to our concerns, assessed my kids' teeth, noted the spacing between them, and praised their good dental hygiene. He also said they have great jaw growth, which was reassuring after feeling like we were constantly being told they needed intervention. I understand X-rays and dental appliances can be important when necessary, but I believe care should be individualized and parents should be trusted to make informed decisions. We're so relieved to have found a dentist who makes us feel heard rather than pressured.

The professional, kind, and truly caring staff--including Dr. Matt, Tracey, and the hygienist--are gone, and the quality has suffered dramatically as a result. I recently went in for a routine cleaning. During the procedure, I was told I had to wear the black plastic protective glasses, or I wasn't welcome there and should leave. When I explained to Dr. Timothy Luong that I'm severely claustrophobic and have a history of panic attacks from previous life-threatening surgeries, he showed zero empathy. He didn't listen to my concerns at all--he simply insisted on the glasses and, when I couldn't comply due to my medical condition, asked me to leave immediately. This complete lack of compassion and accommodation for a legitimate health issue was shocking and unacceptable. No effort was made to discuss alternatives or understand my situation. After I received my Explanation of Benefits from my insurance, I noticed several issues and called the insurance company to verify. They confirmed that my concerns were valid. The main issue was that my secondary insurance had been billed as the primary insurance. Delta confirmed they had no record of my primary insurance on file, only a note stating that I had another insurance plan. I worked with a Delta representative, and they explained that everything would need to be resubmitted either by the dental office or through a claim filed by me. When I brought this to the office staff's attention, I was not looking for an argument. I was simply trying to point out the issue so they could review it and correct the billing. Unfortunately, the staff became defensive and rude. That experience is what ultimately caused me to lose trust in the office after being a patient there for five years. To be clear, this review is not about the doctor's performance. My concern is strictly with the billing process and the way the office staff handled the situation. A billing mistake can happen, but how it is addressed matters. Patients should feel heard and respected when they bring forward legitimate concerns.
