Menu price as of 9/13/2023 One of the few donuts shops that sell half dozen donuts.

The owner is extremely nice and approachable. It's a small little shop serving excellent donuts. They have been around for years. They sell donuts, croissant, muffin, cinnamon roll, coffee, and bottled beverages.

Tiger Tail, Boston Cream, Raspberry Jelly, Chocolate Bear Claw, Apple Bear Claw with crumb topping

We always stop by when we're in town. They have these new (perhaps new to us) bear claw/apple fritter like donuts - chocolate and apple flavors and with a crumb on top or glazed. We got the crumb. Amazing! Also, first time trying their Thai Iced tea and it's on point!

    Open for business! Great doughnuts!

Always fresh and plenty of selection. Super friendly family run doughnut shop with also croissants, muffins and sandwiches. Even sells Thai tea. A little bit of indoor and outdoor tables plus plenty of parking. Great little neighborhood doughnut shop frequented by locals.

Our favorite donut spot. Family owned and the donuts are awesome. We typically walk down once a week. Couldn't ask for a better donut spot.

The donuts were very oily, and the oily taste was rancid. Perhaps we caught them on an off day.

I wanted something special that couldnt be found anywhere else which is also very picture-worthy. Luckily other reviews and pictures of donuts from this shop led me to going in person to check out the goods and placing a huge order. I was firstly looking at the online menu, and I couldnt find that giant donut, so i called to ask for help and clarify which one it was so i can get them. The person who answered the phone at the time was super helpful and even saved me a texas donut when i mentioned i was coming by in the next few minutes. When i arrived, i knew it was going to be special for the people im sharing this with. When ordering online, the one i wanted was actually marked as "Out of Stock" (Texas Chocolate), so i made a note that i wanted a different donut using another donut that was still available to order (Texas Glzed). When I received my 14 boxes, it was the correct one that I wanted substituted. They were nicely organized and it presented well. Theyre not stingy with the toppings either. You really get a good value out of it. The staff was really friendly too (why not? it smells wonderful inside). Definitely two thumbs up for me especially with large orders.

I had a lovely experience at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel). I ordered the Tiramisu Donut ($4.95)…read more It's a fluffy, BIG donut that tastes like a decadent tiramisu. It's also filled with a light, soft cream. DELICIOUS! I arrived at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) on a Wednesday (around 3:42PM). Parking is simple. There's a competitive customer parking lot. And there's a city public parking lot about a two minute walk away. Staff is very friendly, professional, and welcoming. Staff maintained a bright smile throughout my visit. Staff immediately helped me. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter; however, the kiosk felt very dated & the prices on the kiosk felt less transparent. I recommend just ordering at the counter. There's no penalty for using card at this donut establishment. As mentioned, I love the Tiramisu Donut ($4.95). It's not too sweet; rather, it all felt balanced. However, this is a VERY messy donut; I recommend eating this donut with a fork and knife. The powder fall everywhere, and your clothes can quickly get stained with chocolate powder. Still, it's a delicious pastry. On ambiance, Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) is comfortable. This business is more reminiscent of a cafe than a typical donut shop. There's customer internet with password; details on the counter. There's a gender neutral restroom. And there's an electrical outlet & outlet adaptor for devices. The location is fairly small; there's one interior table and one small counter. Fortunately, this place felt airy and well-ventilated. There's also some upbeat, fun music in this clean spot. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel). There's sincere passion & hard work within these walls. If searching for a special donut for a special someone, this is an easy spot to recommend. 4.9 out of 5! Go!

Ordered a single shot espresso and the very popular butter pistachio donut. It was HUGE. I shared it with a co-worker as I knew there was just no way I alone could finish it. This thing was decadent... and totally up anyone's alley who has a severe sweet tooth. I typically do not like overly sweet things, but I have to admit, this was very good. The espresso was good and strong, and for me, a single shot was more than enough to get me through my morning. As I was the only customer in the place at the time, service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be back to try other donuts!

There is a smallish macaron counter with popular flavors and can be boxed up to bring home. With about 15 tables (a couple of tables for larger groups), there's a steady stream of people here and it would be a matter of time when lines will form out the door. Service is super attentive. The minute you come in the person behind the counter comes to assist. Ohhh almost forgot, savory pastries (caprese and artichoke and cheese) are super well-made and the crusts delightfully light and crispy :-) I keep coming back. End of Yelp.

CAPRESE DANISH: 5/5. Perfectly balanced flavors. Tomatoes were fresh and the balsamic was bright. HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT: 4/5. I know it would have been SO good if it were warmed up and the cheese were a little melty. KOUIGN AMANN: 3/5. My favorite pastry. Perhaps a personal preference, but I wish the sugar were a little more caramelized. It also was not as rich as I am accustomed to this pastry being.
