Took the tour today and Gabby was fantastic! She fully embraced the 'Willy Wonka' wonderment of the whole experience and made it truly memorable. While I was a little disappointed that the tasting was limited to four samples, they were so good it definitely left me wanting more. Highly recommend!

We signed up for their Tuesday afternoon brewery tour and Gabby (sp?) was our guide. It started in the refrigerated hops room, which was super cold and super interesting. Then we moved in to see the mashton, then saw where the hops are mixed in. The tour was in actual rooms being used in the brewing process. We also got to see where the yeast was added and took a walk to the distribution facility and got to see the bottling and canning lines. It was fascinating to hear about the history, the process and the environmental aspects of the business. The basic tour was very impressive and for a great price ($13.50). Then we got to taste four beers afterward. If you're in The area and have an interest in beer, you've got to sign up for the tour!

A friend took us out to a concert at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Event Center. Tickets can be purchased online for upcoming events. It's a large spaciousness event room that's combined with table seating and a center floor for dancing and a standing audience. They offered specialty beers, soda, tea and a selection of wines. We came for bands originally from East LA, Thee Sinseers and a group called, The Altons. It was a phenomenal experience and the atmosphere was high vibing for all ages. I loved my experience and recommend you check it out for their special events and your upcoming events.

The host was such a nice and talkative person. Sat us and chatted us up, the server on the other hand kind of neglected us. She seemed busy but the service wasn't terrible hence the 4/5. Food was so good! Paired well with the beers she recommended. Plus free charging if you're electric soooo why not stop to eat, drink and charge up

Ahi nachoes piled high of goodness

No plans on a fall Saturday. So we drove out to SNB. Elise served us and was very friendly knowledgeable and recommended a tasty beer flight full of my favorite hazy beers. We also ordered the Ahi Nachos. The waitress quickly brought them to our table. The cute couple behind us almost tackled us for them because they were piled high lol. They promised to get them on their next visit. The nachoes were so good. We didn't care for the pickled cucumber but oh well we just layed them aside. Every thing else was loaded with goodness. Even though the restaurant was full and lively with families we chose it sit outside due to the lovely fall weather and nice outdoor patio seating. One small draw back (I love dogs but....) I had to face one large dog snapping at flies as I tried to enjoy my ahi nachoes. The dog owner tried but perhaps her dog could have been chillin comfy by her side and the wall ijs.

The Big Little Thing IPA (Imperial IPA) from Sierra Nevada Brewing.

Steve and I hoped into Sierra Nevada Brewing again. We have had this brewery before... and with it being distributed widely it's hard not to notice. The latest beer that we had up to this point from Sierra Nevada is the Big Little Thing IPA. We haven't had this beer before and it was good. Flavor features with this IPA are hoppiness, strong, smooth, fruity and earthy. I especially liked the smoothness with this beer as more than enough IPA'S don't come off as smooth in their flavor profiles and it's something I've really grown to be fond of with beers.

The brewery tour was more and better than expected. I thought Sierra Nevada was a big company now, but they're conscious of their roots and values. Two separate taprooms, one in the restaurant and one at the tour start/finish and merch shop. Some variant brews not found elsewhere.

Great tour offered for only $11. The tour was fun, informative and we were able to see all the love, resourceful ways, and creative ideas the brewery puts into each beer.

Traveling from out of town. Ordered the salmon to go... should've just ordered from Applebee's as planned. I thought it would come with mashed potatoes. My fault for misunderstanding the menu.

Our tour guide was very informative and we had the chance to go into a room where they had all of the hops (smelled amazing). We also so the bottling area. After the tour we got to taste 4 beers and she asked what styles we preferred so she could choose some for us. We also did a little shopping and got some of their India Pale Ale and some nice pilsner glasses. We then went to the restaurant for some lunch. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of flights along with a Lox Bialy and a Lamb Sandwich. The bartender was nice and checked on us often. The beers were good and food was good. Will be back to try some other beers.

They have significantly improved and their food is almost always good. I believe they hired local chef, Ann Leon, which was a great choice on their part. I love their online check-in which has made it feel like such a seamless VIP experience. Now, I put our names in, monitor the time online, and walk right up and get seated. This is now one of our go-to restaurants because of it's consistency. Food-wise, we often get one of their seasonal salads. I'll usually get their chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Fish and chips are very good. When they have fried brussels sprouts on their specials, get them! Very good. Their fries are so excellent that one time they came out cold and they were still good. I do think they have a flour coating, FYI for gluten free folks. The Hot Honey Pig pizza and the mushroom one are so good. Beer-wise, one of my favorite things is they will serve a half point at the actual half price! If a beer is $7, the half-pint is $3.50. I prefer low bitterness, and if you know anything about Sierra Nevada, they are big on the bitter IPA style, hoppy beers. I always look for the IBUs that are helpfully listed on each beer, and select only the lowest ones. Lately I've been getting the wildflower wheat, my fave. They do allow samples, which is wonderful because I would have gotten many a beer I would not like if I wasn't able to sample first. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and they have good outdoor seating on their patio that I enjoy when the weather is right. One place I try to avoid sitting is in the bar area. I have admittedly very sensitive hearing and it's very hard to hear our conversation because of how loud it is there. However, they do have acoustic panels and I can tell this is something they've considered overall, and it makes a big difference everywhere else in the restaurant.

What a cool place with inside and outside dining and even cornhole! We split some type of massive burger with 2 patties and garlic parm fries. On both of my visits, I have been so impressed with the food. Most recently, I tried the nachos, ribeye sandwich, and the kids had the chicken tenders and the burger. The portions are large and satisfying. The kids' stuff was great. The burger is a full-size burger, just without the fixings, and comes with plenty of fries. The chicken tenders were a tad overcooked, but they were a huge serving. Either one could have been split between both of our kids. The nachos are a must-order. The cheese sauce is amazing. We just got the half-order, and it was huge! The ribeye sandwich was good, though the meat was a tad tough. Still, great flavor, and the onion rings were a great add-on. I was also impressed by their NA margarita. Very tasty and similar to the real deal. I love the vibe at Farmers, too. They have a massive indoor space and a great patio space, too. This place is great for happy hour, after-dinner drinks, after-work hangouts, a casual lunch, or a date night dinner. It's a jack of all trades type of restaurant. They also have an awesome gift shop with beer to-go and all of the Farmers merch you could imagine. I am sure there are lots of great restaurants in Chico, but I imagine I'll continue finding myself at Farmers when I visit.

Stopped by on way to Chico during a recent visit on a day they were closed. I placed an online order for pickup only to realize when I arrived that the brewery location is closed for much of the week. On me for the error. I've made that mistake previously and dealt with employees who just ignored me and those that chose to acknowledge me that I needed to come back when they were open. The staff here now only acknowledged me, they went the extra mile to alleviate the error. Service was beyond great and they made me feel valued. I visited the Chico taproom/restaurant location and the product matches the service level. I tried one of the infused (peach) beers and it was very well balanced and easy to drink on the hot day. Hard to brew a simple lager that does not have any "off tastes". They seemed to figured out how to do it. Breweries that are struggling can take note from Farmer's. Lots of great beers and instead of trying to become viral with some crazy Quadruple Hazy Hybrid Pastery Barrel Aged Sour concoction, treat your customer well and make a good clean beer and you'll be successful like I think Farmer's will be/continue to be. If you are in the area, worth the visit as you'll see what craft breweries used to be like before it became overly commercialized.

Willie and Claire almost always have a couple IPAs, porters, or my fav, sours to suggest. I'm not sure if they have a little Jedi blood or what, but they have literally NEVER steered me wrong. Now, about the beers... it's hands down, the best selection and variations in Chico. Hell. Maybe in all of Nor Cal! Another great thing I've been using more of lately are the apps. They are on both Untapped and Digital Pour. Now before I even go, I can see what new stuff has just been tapped or find out how much is left of my obsession of the week (RIP Triple Haole Punch. Our time was much too brief). Next, is what they DONT offer. You want a burger? Go to Macdonald's. You want a Chocolate Martini? Well God help you... This place is for BEER drinkers and is owned by beer geniuses. Full disclosure--They do keep menus of all the restaurants in the Almond Orchard and encourage people to bring in and wash it down with, I don't know, maybe a beer? So you've got a Pho place a Chinese place, Mexican, and Round Table, etc. Plus, if you ask nicely, they keep bags of chips behind the bar. Today I ordered some flamingo swag off Amazon. It wasn't because of my fetish for long legged pink birds though. Well, maybe a little...Mostly though it was because every Friday they run a great promotion. Anybody wearing flamingo garb gets 10% off their bill as well as a flamingo bottle opener. How can that be anything short of awesome, and today I got to get a pic posted to their Instagram page of me holding the Keg Killer trophy for, you guessed, killing the last of a keg. They also have a pretty epic game room with all the staple bar games.
